What I meant was that , Painter of the wind didn’t hesitate to show even a little amount of chemistry and the main characters acknowledging their feelings and few scenes of passion too ( though I wish they kissed xD ) Lee Hwi could have fallen for the Queen too , as the Queen fell for Lee Hwi and the last episode still shows the Queen is still thinking of her even after knowing the truth . There should’ve been some infatuation of Lee Hwi falling for the Queen as well . The producers weren’t bold to pull of the portrayal of two beautiful women falling for each other though the story very much screams for a chance of a possibility. Just my feeling .

Until S.Korea reigns some of their homophobia, the best we can get is something like what happened in Nevertheless...support characters that end up together and express their feelings of love, even if they do not end up kissing. Koreans seem too homophobic to allow "the gays" to have representation of any kind, hugs seem the most that can be shown, kisses are a big "no no" even if they're light ones. And main characters being gays openly?Yeah, don't expect it, they more likely would pick BL/GL stories but forego the "L" part and turn love into friendship, or even change the gender of characters in order to make an "acceptable relationship".

The King's Affection is a wonderful drama. I've always felt especially sad for the two girls who fell for Hwi. Their stories did not resolve very well. Still, the story was, in my opinion, exceptional with a great cast, especially Park Eun Bin as Hwi. She is a world class talent as well as a beautiful lady.
It's true that Eun Bin is handsome as a man and beautiful as a girl just like Bai Lu, she was handsome in Arsenal Military Academy and so pretty in One and Only (well she was pretty in all of her dramas)
They had more chemistry than the straight couple🥺, the tutor was so stupid, he made me cringe so bad at times. I don’t know how to feel, I had more expectations on this drama, like it just teases but never gets brave enough to have at least an actual gay character, or at least a “coming out” arc like the one in “Coffe Prince” where the protagonist actually has to struggle to make peace with the fact that he likes a man, I mean, “Coffee Prince” is still a very hetero story, but even when it was about 10 years ago, it feels way bolder than this drama.
I ship them hard. And because of the ending, I don’t think I will ever be able to watch this movie ever again, not because it’s bad but it is too sad for my Ha Kyung. Just listen to the ost make me think of her and it’s breaks my heart so bad... Also, i feel like the way Lee Hwi cares about Ha Kyung is more like love to me, when i look at Lee Hwi and the male lead is more like good friend.Wish they would make a movie like Painter of the wind and cast Park Eun Bin and Jung Chaeyeon

But this one clearly drew a line between them since Lee Hwi still saw herself as a woman and was in live with the ML since she was young. The painter from painter of wind was raised as a man since childhood though and couldn't identify as a woman. Plus she actually fell in love with a fellow woman, who was the most sought after woman in the brothel house?(I know it's not a brothel but I forgot) she was a gayagum(?) player and was only there for company(she never slept with the customers) The love story between them was so heartfelt yet tragic at the same time that they actually won an award for best couple. But S. Korea is still very conservative about such things and separated them anyway in the drama, but what I like about it is that you can tell that still loved each other even after she found out she was a woman. 😭😭😭
How I wish they were the main couple 🥺🥺this is the second time I fall for the second lead girl in a historical drama after ruler of the mask🥺I genuinely ship them even if I know that the king was a woman🥲🥲
If you want to watch similar scenario or theme with more positive and happy ending, painter of the wind ( Korean drama) 2008/ since it was made in very Conservative time period don't expect direct happy ending but it is happy ending, both female has already won best couple award 😀.very nice interaction and emotional story between them.

The King's Affection is a wonderful drama. I've always felt especially sad for the two girls who fell for Hwi. Their stories did not resolve very well. Still, the story was, in my opinion, exceptional with a great cast, especially Park Eun Bin as Hwi. She is a world class talent as well as a beautiful lady.

They had more chemistry than the straight couple🥺, the tutor was so stupid, he made me cringe so bad at times. I don’t know how to feel, I had more expectations on this drama, like it just teases but never gets brave enough to have at least an actual gay character, or at least a “coming out” arc like the one in “Coffe Prince” where the protagonist actually has to struggle to make peace with the fact that he likes a man, I mean, “Coffee Prince” is still a very hetero story, but even when it was about 10 years ago, it feels way bolder than this drama.

I have been watching romantic shows and movies for a while now, but this show made me realise what guys mean when they say "I don't want to see you cry"
Their chemistry deserves a 💋 or atleast a deep emotional scene which shows they really care for eachother. I mean the king loving back the queen.
Another one following the steps of my Moon Couple from painter of the wind. But this one clearly drew a line between them since Lee Hwi still saw herself as a woman and was in live with the ML since she was young.
The painter from painter of wind was raised as a man since childhood though and couldn't identify as a woman. Plus she actually fell in love with a fellow woman, who was the most sought after woman in the brothel house?(I know it's not a brothel but I forgot) she was a gayagum(?) player and was only there for company(she never slept with the customers)
The love story between them was so heartfelt yet tragic at the same time that they actually won an award for best couple. But S. Korea is still very conservative about such things and separated them anyway in the drama, but what I like about it is that you can tell that still loved each other even after she found out she was a woman. 😭😭😭
How I wish they were the main couple 🥺🥺this is the second time I fall for the second lead girl in a historical drama after ruler of the mask🥺I genuinely ship them even if I know that the king was a woman🥲🥲
If you want to watch similar scenario or theme with more positive and happy ending, painter of the wind ( Korean drama) 2008/ since it was made in very Conservative time period don't expect direct happy ending but it is happy ending, both female has already won best couple award 😀.very nice interaction and emotional story between them.
