I love how her cousin knows that she is a princess & not a "prince" and would do anything to protect her. I like Rowoon but am more intrigued by her cousin. He knew from early that she has to be strong in a male world and eases her stress from time to time with little games and antics. But am sensing a Dark horse...maybe "possibly" a villain if he doesn't check his emotions.

True I don't like jiwoon to end up with Dami ,because of Jiwoon father following the former king command even though the former king already died his father still follow the order, when he can just ignore Dami to tell her live. Also Dami resent him and his father because his father killed her bestfriend.
Dami deserve price hyun more than Jiwoon because he always protect Dami and hide her identity since they were kids.
In manhwa Hwi/Dam-i love interest is Gaon ,their know each other identity ever since they were kids because Gaon once pretend to be girl to serve Hwi as court maid and he knows that Hwi is a girl but I think in drama storyline version everything changed .

I have this feeling that Kim Ga-on, the bodyguard is the real Prince. I feel like he didn't die, because in the first episode, we saw them put a certain acupuncture needle in the neck of the princess to show that she was dead, maybe they did the same for him, when he was "executed". I mean they didn't show any burial, nothing. And even twins, when they grow older look quite different, especially a boy and a girl. Boys usually get taller, broader, with more manly features. I would actually love it if he actually is her brother and he takes over the role as the prince and she finally enjoys the freedom to be a woman again, to buy the jewelry of her choice, dress like a woman, love a man freely and openly.
I really hope so but just an assumption cause in his nightmare i saw the guard was the little boy who looked the execution scene and maybe the executed man is his father. So he decided to take revenge on prince.

Sorry to burst your bubble everyone. Kim Ga On is the assassin who shot an arrow at the prince during the hunt. The camera focuses on the accessories on his sword hilt/ case when he's introduced and showed it earlier when he was hiding next to the dead body they found at the hunt. 3 rectangle metal beads, 1 round piece of jade, and half a wood.

I think this bodyguard is her twin. Her twin didn't die instead the queen save him just like she did with her. The queen want her daughter to live in palace to protect her. Maybe she had plan but passed away before she managed to do it. I watch episode 1, 2 repeatedly and there's like some hint in the dialogue especially during their teenager stage.

From the first time I saw Kim Go-on I said that’s a pretty boy, I like to see him in action. I also agree with many of the comments that I hope she ends up with Hyun because he knows her secret. But, this is the Joseon period, everyone believes that the prince is a male, therefore, when he/she reaches the age for marriage the father will be choosing women. I want to see how that is going to be handled🤔. Any rendezvous with Hyun would have to be kept secret, dicey, and she better not get pregnant. All of the challenges that this secret presents. Darn this script. Is she ever going to reveal that she is female. I want to see the face of the guy who actually killed the prince, as well as the father. I cannot wait for December 8.
I think prince hyun willing to give up his royal title just to marry Dami if her identity will be reveal in public but I feel like the real crown prince is still alive because the twin grandmother is kinda weird when it's comes to her action towards the crown prince she always protect and adore the crown prince I felt like she knows that the crown prince is LeeHwi twin sister Dami .

based on his flashback in ep8 i think that Kim Ga On is a son of Lee Hwi’s dead teacher, the one who got executed and was like a father to him as well or at least he’s somehow related to him
anyways my point is that he might’ve become Prince’s bodyguard to actually kill him since he has such a dark aura and most likely is a hidden assassin who kills the rich (probably related to the teacher’s miserable ending) so yeah i guess we all should be ready for a tragic end of their relationship as Ga On starts seeing the warm and good side of Lee Hwi…
