They're probably one of the MOST theatrical bands I've ever seen. Spencer comes out dressed as a different killer pretty much after every song...the jaws song had them bring out a giant inflatable shark also. Def put seeing them at the top of your list for live bands to see.
Dude about a week ago spotify took me from INK to the album two faced charade by famous last words. You wanna talk about a theatrical metal experience. They could be considered a lot more emo but man that album completely blows me away
The album has both a full length short movie and a short story to go along with it
@@3xodus Famous last words is ok, but Ice Nine Kills are better imo... I have been listening to Ice Nine Kills since Every Trick In The Book, and Famous Last Words since Two Face Charade.. I think both bands have great theatrics, Ice Nine Kills does much better.
My wife and i went to see them for the second time a few months ago. They are amazing live, highly recommend it
Seeing them the 11th in Columbia, SC. I can’t fucking wait!
As a huge evil dead and Bruce Campbell fan and INK I’m so glad you picked this song. It would fit so perfectly in “Evil Dead: The Musical” and knowing Spencer loves musicals he must know this.
Just picked up the new album yesterday... the magnum opus is "Farewell II Flesh"! Their best song to date imo! Hoping that song is their next music video or "Welcome To Horrorwood" title track.
Love this series you did!! I had a good feeling you'd love this song. Has that jazzy swing big brass band feel. Like a heavier Cherry Poppin Daddies 😂.
I agree. Farewell II Flesh is a must do
take your pick
One of my favorites off the album
F II F is good but definitely not their best.
Agreed Farewell ii Flesh is their best song, I could listen to Helen's Theme from Candyman on repeat all day
That's actually a good request since INK doesn't have much songs that swings like this one. The perfect style of rock shuffle for the perfect horror track.
Thanks for pointing out again how good the drumming is. Most people talk about Spencer and Dan (not saying they shouldn't because they're obviously amazing) so it's nice to hear some praise for Patrick
Gonna join the mob and say 'Farewell II Flesh' is a must, as most other comments are saying
INK plays the long humor game here. This song is based off the Evil Dead movies. Ash's (the main character) famous line (which you hear after the shotgun blast) is "groovy". Ave this song is TOTALLY groovy. And just fun (as I've said previously). This has truly become my favorite INK song to date.
Some time you'll need to revisit INK. Check out Every Trick in the Book. All the songs are based off of literature.
I'd love to see Every Trick In The Book. Especially for a Tess-Timony reaction.
@@MatthewBess oh man. When Spencer sings "Officer, please, that's the man who destroyed my existence" 8 get a lump in my throat. Every damn time. And Jonathan... Oh dear Lord. Knowing that's about their real life friend. Wrecks me.
Im sad the last song wasn’t Farewell II Flesh - it’s, in my opinion, the best song they’ve ever done. That being said, if if wasn’t going to be that one, I’m so glad it was this one. I knew you’d love it!
Love when these bands inspire you and you just start jamming out, you're such a dope player.
Farewell ll flesh is really good 🙌🏽
Awwwww I was soooooo hoping your 6th reaction would be It Is The End!!!!
I was thinking the same thing
This song and IT Is The End are two of the most unique and fun songs songs by the band I find.
Great reaction to this one btw. You are absolutely correct, it has the same tonality as Muse’s Uprising. Love the bluesy riffs 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💕💕
I can’t tell you how much I love this song from the album Dave, great freaking 6by, hopefully it turns into a 20 by or something lmfao good work Dave!
Sad the 6 by is over but so glad you went on the journey! ❤
The bluesy turnaround on the low Ab string of the guitar is one of my favorite things I’ve ever heard. This song makes me so happy.
I feel like he is going to keep doing INK videos. Every INK video on his channel is consistently getting a high view count. INK fans are loyal!
Huge Ice Nine fan. This album was awesome. Another band you need to check out is Imminence. They are a swedish metal band. Amazing instrumentals and vocally phenomenal.
Patrick (the drummer) was/ is the drummer for another band called Affiance. he joined INK during Affiances Hiatus. good songs to check out are, Reboot, lost and forgotten, fire!, and the cynic
Great reaction. I’m getting a Muse Uprising vibe for sure. I would love to see our first album review from David. Howie let’s make it happen.
I really wanted him to react to take your pick:(
god yes, i love the reactions to that breakdown in there
actually this is based off The Evil Dead.... still wish you would react to a lot in their catalog, Farewell 2 Flesh or Take Your Pick from this album, but this is the most fun kinda track I think they just went in there and made a fun sway tune.
This one was well worth the wait, I had a feeling you'd love this one with the stuff I've seen from you! In my opinion, yeah, they've got more theatrical and objectively "better" songs, like the ones people have been pointing out in the comments, two of which being IT Is The End, and Farewell II Flesh.
BUT. I hesitate to think of a song by them that I've had a more fun listening experience to than this. The rock/jazz mix hit perfectly in the insanity that was this album, especially given it was the last style I'd ever expect them to do. It was so fun watching you get so into it. Another fantastic reaction!
No idea if someone has already mentioned this, but this song was co-written by Charlie Scene of Hollywood Undead! Would be pretty sweet if you checked out some of their stuff in the future. :”)
The first time I heard this song I thought it sounded like Uprising by Muse, glad to see I’m not the only one
I love the bluesy vibe! It's based off the evil dead, need Bruce Campbell to hear this song! Also IT is the end has a similar tone where they have more instruments you'll love that one!
Hail to the king
I love how the first line of the song is the exact words we all think the first time hearing the song "well god damn!!"
Though my personal all time favorite of theirs is definitely Farewell ii Flesh
I can tell you they are amazing live! Great energy and the effort they put into their show is top notch. It's the closest to a metalcore Broadway show you'll get. Hence why many people have dubbed them "theatricore". I've already seen them once this year and I've bought tickets to see them 3 more times on this touring cycle. I also plan on seeing them many more times in the future. My son also loves them so I've really been enjoying taking him to see them and it's been a great bonding experience for us.
I knew you’d love this one! I think it’s the best on the album. It’s very your style with your jazz background. It really shows off their range of musical ability and talent.
Pleaaaseee just one more!!! Farewell II Flesh, best song musically on the album, I promise!!! It blew me away lol
There’s a little twist in the middle of the song that gives me goosebumps every time I hear it
This is one of my favorite songs off the album!!! 🖤 But this CAN'T be the end! Come on tomorrow's Halloween...you have to react to IT is the end! Please...🙏
yes you listened to ex mortis!!! easily my second favorite off of horrorwood. second only to the box!!
Found you for your Ice Nine content. Love your videos and your personality!!! Hope the band sees any of these for your praise, and cant wait to see your channel grow and evolve. You have potential!!!!
Definitely check out their new song Farewell II Flesh. As a classical musician you'll be in for a surprise...
This really gave me "Sixx am - Get ya some" vibes :) Great song!
A "6 by" isn't even enough to show how good this band is! Their two latest albums are masterpieces 👌🏻. Could you do A Grave Mistake next please? 😁
sounds like cabaret, blues, sound funk ,, awesome work ice nine kills. great job .. friend. youre really nice comment.
You're thinking of Muse's song Uprising. I thought that too when I first listened to this!
Dissapointed you didn’t react to A Grave Mistake!! So many more amazing songs to listen to!!
Or Farewell II Flesh
I actually was expecting It is the end tbh
I know you like live videos. These guys KILL it live. Look up their performances if “rocking the boat” and stabbing in the dark. Live at the palladium worcester
Absolutley love this reaction! I love watching your reactions when you point out everything, it's also such a joy watching you just jam once you figure out the chord progression of the songs such as you did here!
This one is my favorite, Farewell II Flesh is also a close second.
One if my favorites from the album
do 7 songs please! FAREWELL TO FLESH is a masterpiece
You need to do Farewell II Flesh as an extra
This song grooves so hard
I just saw them live and they are amazing live the best concert I’ve ever seen
I love how much you actually get into these guys, and the personal take with the keys always on point 🤘
I love how you just can’t help but start playing the tune of the song and you just go off rail and rock out to it. I’m ALREADY a fan of your work lolz.
the vibe I get is very much the last several songs on "Infinity on High" by Fall Out Boy...there are a few songs at the end that have a swing type sound.
Thank you! My second favorite track on this album, might be my first if I keep binging it.
I came for the reaction and stayed for David's jamming.
I love this song so much. I hope they play it at the show I'm going to.
Amazing series, amazing band. Had the new album on repeat since it came out, please do more of the new album!
You should see if you can find the orchestration they did for this song. It’s stunning.
David, since you’re such a big fan of Patrick’s drumming, I suggest you cover some of the band he was previously in. They’re called Affiance. The entire band is phenomenal.
I had no idea that was the same guy. Amazing! What a great drummer.
Kings Of Deceit, You Will Be Replaced, and Peace Of Mind from their 2nd album "The Campaign" are my top songs that I recommend to react/review! :)
Muse - Uprising is probably the song you had on your mind. Ex-Mortis like Rainy Day is definitely a switch up from their usual style. I really love this song as well.
This song reminds me of older Avenged Sevenfold. Moreso lyrics and some of the vocals
NECRONOMICOOOOOON EX-MØRTIS!! ❤❤❤ THANKS YOU SO MUCH, GREETINGS FROM ARGENTINA :')
Also you asked how I'm doing. I've been in a bit of a rough spot but new releases from Trivium, Dream Theater, Lorna Shore, Slaughter To Prevail, and most importantly ICE NINE KILLS have been getting me through and keeping me going :)). Hope you've been doing well too, and yes please see INK live!!! You'll love it. They were the 2nd band I ever saw live and I'll never forget it.
Petition to change Halloween to INK day as they're doing the original horror classics justice
I know that you just did 6 but "The Box" is honestly my favorite on the album and I love hearing the commentary you bring.
Gives me those old shanty vibes you'd hear on a pirate ship lol
Yesssss I adore this song
This one doesn't have a music video but it is inspired by Evil Dead and the Army of Darkness films! It's an interesting approach with the swing/blues vibe that they decided to go with for the song.
You said that this song kind of reminded you of Muse. Upon, sitting and thinking about it, and listening to the song that I thought of, it does have similarities to Uprising.
The bassist kicks ass too
I feel like a 6by6by6 would be most appropriate lol
I would love if you did Muse! We saw them live a few years ago. Amazing show.
The new Ice Nine Kills is playing non stop at my house. My favorite is Farewell ll Flesh.
I’m glad this song was in the 6 by, this or farewell to flesh would be perfect for the finale of the 6 by
I’m not sure where you live, but they are on tour right now!
On my what?
Muse Uprising is the vibe I'm getting
I am sure I’m not the only one who would love to see you do another 6x6 of INK. They have a plethora of amazing songs to choose from.
Idk if you've ever thought about but like doing live stream reactions to albums and stuff
We have and we plan to
@@MusicShed oh that's pretty cool is for like bands that you really cant get around much too because there is so much to react to constantly pumping stuff
The Muse song you're thinking of is "Uprising" from the album "The Resistance" :)
I am blown away by their song tess-timony.
Oh Tess-Timony is just beautiful
Its about the evil dead movie !
I'd really dig a legit cover video of you really giving that keyboard the business over this track. Love me some jazz piano
Thanks for the intro to Inch Nine Kills! Check out Starset, Of Mice and Men, and Staind!
Now that u say it reminded me of muse's uprising even tho i dont listen to muse
That’s what I was thinking too but couldn’t remember
React to Take Your Pick!!
react to farewell II flesh by them. you’re a phenomenal musician, therefore you will love and appreciate it so much.
we need at least 6 more INK reacts ha
I got Love Me Dead by I think Ludo vibes from this song personally
HOWIE! show this man their live videos! The ones with live sound
And Plague Flowers the Kaleidoscope - Ne Obliviscaris
supermassive black hole is the song he's thinking of
So fuckin sick, dude 🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's Uprising by Muse, my friend. ;)
Fun fact, INK is banned from Disney world 😂
What?!?!
@@MusicShed they were suppose to play live near Disney springs, but I guess Disney still owned that plot of land, so they viewed the band as thought they were too mature.
@@CrypticlyEncrypted dont forget the old Merch from them with Mr. Mouse 😏
i would recommend Erra- Remnant.. very talented band
You definitely need to do IT Is The End. Who doesn't love clowncore? Haha. There are so many people featured on that track, and it's badass. I think A Rash Decision is another unique one from the new record. It's got a lot of ska/punk vibes. And The Shower Scene melody reminds me a LOT of The Wall by Pink Floyd.
STARSET - Bringing It Down, Manifest (Live), Devolution, Kashmir drum cover, Something Wicked
Great reaction. Can you please do Communion of the Cursed by INK. It is one of their best. Aslo please do some Motionless in White. I recommend Thoughts and Prayers, Necessary Evil, Undead Ahead 2 and Devils Night. And yes Muse would be great maybe Dead Inside.
Gotta do take your pick by ice nine kills nexttt
the Muse song you're looking for is Victorious. Correction - Uprising
Gotta do Farewell II flesh or A Grave Mistake
i shall request that you cover some Trivium and Ghost in the channel, both phenomenal bands in their own way
Yep I think he would love The Shadow of the Abattoir, and also Bophades
@@liamblack4840 their latest album is unreal, so much musicianship!
Whoever told you to include this one on the list, really knew what he/she's was doing.
Farewell II Flesh & IT Is The End, *PLEASE*
This one reminds me a little bit (so little) of Diablo Swing Orchresta now that I know them. You should check them out.
