I will never understand why this movie didn't get more praise. These two have such great chemistry throughout the whole thing, and Ed O'Neal is perfection!
Ed O’Neill said in an interview he blamed the studio for poorly marketing the movie or barley even marketing it at all and the fact that the film was released during the summer around the same time as Terminator 2 so this movie went unnoticed. In fact, O’Neill said he and John Hughes became great friends during the making of this film and would often hang out a lot and talk on the phone off set. But after this film bombed Hughes completely cut ties with O’Neill and he never heard from him again.
@@tylertilwick6852 Interesting, I wonder why he did that. I know many americans see the lack of financial succes as absolute failure, maybe this is why.
@@ricarleiteTotally incorrect. Ed has been consistently cast since Married ended. He’s been on multiple series & movies. His series Big Apple was excellent but unfortunately Bochco & Mitch were butting heads with the network, travesty that was cancelled.
That yell at 1:08 was made by Curley Howard, in the Three Stooges short, Cactus Makes Perfect. Was obsessed with the Stooges when I was young, and when I saw this movie as a kid, I recognized that yell immediately, lol.
I thought the maid (Gritzi) was portrayed by the late Kathleen Freeman, from Blues Brothers 1980 & 2000 (circa '98) / Innerspace / Gremlins 2 - The New Batch / Naked Gun 33⅓ - The Final Insult / Shrek...
I couldn’t figure out her name. Please tell me where u got “Gritzi”. I looked on IMDB for the actresses same and credited at “The Maid” is Kyle Fredricks
You're thinking of the maid that appears at the hotel Dutch & Doyle tried to reserve a room (whom Fredericks portrayed), but are forced out by her, and had no other choice but to spend a night at the homeless shelter - way before this finale.
Great Role as Dutch Ed O Neil did during the height of Married with Children in 1991 did Dutch actually shoot Doyle kill Doyle and kill his mother in the ending ? Or was that just the bee bee pelluot gun payback ?
this and uncle buck is a great way to start a weekend movie marathon
Ayooooo my last names Durant

Poor marketing & Timing. It was released at the same time T2 & Costner Robin Hood was released.
@@tylertilwick6852Absolutely. Would have been at least a modest hit if released during the winter.
Ed O'Neill is easily one of the most underused and underrated actors of the 80's.
100% so glad he was in modern family also
He was horribly typecast as Al Bundy and couldn't get work

I absolutely LOVED this ending! Classic!
Best ending that John Huges ever written...
Grew up with this movie epic
Underrated movie.
at 1:08 it sounds like the guy is screaming"GO ALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!"

Helloooo down there xD
@@RightWingCorrectWing "Hellooooo up there!!!"
Braydon Smith
Ed O’Neill loves those redheads.
i absolutely loved this movie
4 Touchdowns in one game and an ace shot too.
This movie is the alternate reality if Al never met Peggy.
I watched this movie for the very first time today and I liked it. I thought that Ed O'Neal played his part very good.
Love this!!!
I love the SCREAM letting you kno hes evil and serious 🙂
I love that music. 😂
Low Key Classic 😮😂 Ed is the man!
Such an underrated film
You know he will be a good step dad.
Love ending and music
This movie was hilarious
It's Dutch's gun now
1:11 classic look....it's like he knew at that point lol
It’s like “oh shit he’s not playing” 😂😂😂
Hey he's realizing Dutch don't bluff
We need a sequel to this one
I've been watching, "The Green Book" clips, and Viggo Mortensen gives off huge Ed O'Neill vibes.
They are so cute together. They should’ve did part two.
Pay backs a Mother LOL.
*PSYCHO DAAAD! PSYCHO DAAAD* 🎶

He basically was Al Bundy in this movie hands down
It wasn’t a fake bullet 😂 married with children audience cheering and clapping 👏🏼

It was Doyle's pellet gun that he shot Dutch with early in the film.
INTRO DEL EXTRA JÓVENES .
Movie wrote a check and then cashed it
Can't believe he really shot and killed that ugly boy in the end.
I don’t think He is ugly
@@Funnyemmy14 he's 12 and ugly in this.
He didn't kill him, it was a pellet gun. He was getting revenge for the kid shooting him with it at the beginning of the movie.
😄
Is this Ed O'Neill? :)
