  • An injection designed to tackle obesity could reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes - regardless of how much weight they lose while on the drug, according to a new study.
Researchers looked at the effects of semaglutide - which is a prescription drug that suppresses appetite and is sold under the brand names Wegovy, Ozempic and Rybelsus.
They said the anti-obesity jabs could also benefit the cardiovascular health of millions of adults, with one researcher likening it to when statins were introduced in the 1990s.

Doesn't work that that easily for a lot of people.
Like myself personally did that route ate less even ate like a celebrity would big salads with barely their healthier option dressings like vinegarate or lemon juice, very minimal consumption of meat and the healthies drinks in fact shopped a lot at Whole Food's and ignored the fact eating less was causing my 0etite malt seizures to increase due to the fact my body wasn't consuming enough levels of sugar yes when my sugar levels are too low I go into mild seizure mode where my eyes roll back I get sweaty clammy mode not acting right..
I go on long few miles walk with my son who was a baby at the time we walk all the way to carter's or target or even the shopping center where Nordstrom rack is located st in Dallas and we go on those long walks in the blazing Texas heat sure I was loosing weight but at what cost the cost of my long term inner health.
I was even going to the gym and still couldn't go pass under weight 160pounds at 5'2 but the moment I added on weight lost pills along with laxative pills I reached 150 so seriously was it all worth the increase amount of seizures, my health of my inner organs and the increase of vomiting because vomiting was my response to eating less plus walking aka moving more in the blazing heat..
Folks like yourself sound extremely privileged due to either not really having any weight gain issues and or simply being a man knowing k3n have such a easy time loosing weight. Eventually my craziness to loose weight lead to the usage of meth that is when I saw the weight drop and myself finally being a size 1 and everyone around me including strangers thought damn this chick looks good but little did they know I was killing myself to be that size 1 weight 110 at 5'2 I was unable to reach the stereotypical image of a meth head because I love food too much and that love kept me looking normal even while doing hard drugs but hey I been sober since mid 2017 even gained all my weight back but I am happy being over weight again because my mind and soul are at peace..
I even have to take a heart burn pill everyday of my life now because without it I can't consume food without my throat burning due to the acid in my stomach and what causes thay acid simply eating salad, water, cucumbers and pretty much any food & drink makes me sick my stomach is permanently messed up inside so I ask myself was it all worth it eating less & moving more just to fit everyone's narrative to be skinny which I answer hell to the no it wasn't worth because now I have permanent stomach problems because even before all that I was healthy sure a little over weight but I was moving a lot but according to everyone they couldn't tell because I was over weight a little but once I went down the eat less move more route and had the weight shedding then in those same peoples eyes I was suddenly healthy but oh little did they know the harsh reality of my health..
