Exactly. People do not want to put in the effort to lose the weight they’ve gained from eating the very things that they still want to eat while on these medication’s.
People have always tried diet pills, fad diets, anything to lose weight fast. Remember when people would even ingest tape worms? They are willing to try anything even knowing the risks.
@@t.k.3895that's true of some but I went to the doctor because I couldn't lose. I dropped my calories to 800 per day and exercised. I lost 5 lbs and no more. She tested me and I was type 2. She told me that makes weight loss near impossible bc your metabolism is broken. It took 6 mo for me to get Ozempic bc of the craze. I was so sick for 4 mo but now I feel better all around and I dropped 45 lbs. For me, it changed my taste buds. Anything processed tastes like cleaning products. I eat more calories a day now but all good ones. I don't think you should take it if you don't have diabetes. My doctor said that it's dangerous for non-diabetics to take it.
Why can't you science deniers just trust your doctor and the medical establishment. Ozempic should be mandatory for the obese who are over-burdening our health care system. Yes, here in the Netherlands it's used by influencers who are very "spiritual" and "holistic", discouraging getting the Covid vaccine because maybe there are long term side effects, but promoting this drug to lose weight like it's harmless.

4:29 - Saxenda (liraglutide) is also a GLP-1 agonist - it is absolutely no wonder that she had such tragic consequences by Ozempic (semaglutide) being co-prescribed. This is infuriating to me as a pharmacist. I wonder if she got the prescriptions from different doctors. A doctor writing both to a patient is an absolute malpractice. But I lean more toward her getting each prescription from different providers and filling them as different pharmacies, one with insurance and one at cash price.
If not for a pharmacist catching a doctor's ill-written prescription, i would have lost my eyesight. I trust them far more regarding questions about prescriptions! It's amazing that this is available online.
That jumped out at me as well. While this class of drugs is absolutely being overprescribed, I'm surprised this news story focused on just the one drug buried the lede about her being on the two meds simultaneously.
@@moniqueengleman873 I'm unsure of the guidelines in Australia (I'm American), but Wegovy is approved for weight loss and is also semaglutide, but the pens deliver very slightly different dosing. Saxenda (liraglutide) is also approved for weight loss and is sold under a different trade name (Victoza) for use for those with Type 2 Diabetes. Both Saxenda and Victoza are injected daily however. However, a diagnosis of obesity and treatment failures with other drugs is a caveat to insurance paying for either Saxenda or Wegovy. But, a patient can pay full price or a slightly discounted price for any medication that is prescribed to them and I have dispensed Ozempic to people who were willing to pay $500 for a single 3 mL pen. If she met the clinical criteria to be diagnosed as obese and her physician prescribed her Saxenda in good faith, I see no fault. If she went to another physician and asked for Ozempic and that physician had no idea she was already taking Saxenda. I would see no fault. Either she was led to believe or assumed that taking both would expedite the weight loss process and did not mention the duplicate therapy to either doctor, or a single doctor prescribed both. She would have also had to fill them at different pharmacies because all modern software used in a retail pharmacy has hard stops to alert the pharmacist of potential severe drug adverse events - most requiring the pharmacist to use their biometrics to acknowledge the risk. I tend to believe the former rather than the latter, and believe that drugs of interest like GLP-1 agonists should be tracked on the same database as controlled substances and pseudoephedrine to prevent fatal accidents like this from occuring.
I caught that too. Did she go to two different doctors or did the same doctor give her these prescriptions? I understand the desire to loose weight. It’s really hard to eat less and exercise more. It’s tempting to take a shortcut.
I am type 2 diabetic. Endocrinologist pushed and insisted i go on it for weight loss. He didnt even take into consideration that i had lost weight by vigorous walking and strict diet and Very close to target weight. My readings were almost in the normal level. I said No! My dr also said, Ozempic is a cure for diabetes. I refuse to see either one again. We must own our own health care and not be coerced into another's agenda!
I agree. I’ve been prescribed many things and I educate myself on each drugs uses and side effects. If I don’t agree, such as metformin, I don’t take it.
I’m a ER RN and a type 2 diabetic and was prescribed Ozempic specifically for blood sugar control. My final dosage is 1mg weekly which is half of the max dose of 2mg. My HgBA1c normalized. As a side note over a year with portion control and carbohydrate reduction I lost 52 lbs and gained a new lease on life. Was there occasional nausea? Yes but never debilitating. Was there bouts of diarrhea when overeating or eating fatty foods? Absolutely . Semiglutides are not a magic weight loss shot. It does decrease your appetite and my comment since being on it is that there seemed to be more willpower in that little shot than I ever had. I’m still taking it weekly with no plan to increase my dosage- I do not believe the medication should be prescribed for strictly weight loss purposes unless the patient is morbidly obese.
My friend started Ozempic for weight loss . He is not obese . I am very upset . I have been taking it for my blood sugar . Because of weight loss people , Ozempic is hard to get it . This is very unfair for diabetics. We need it to survive, not looks .
I am a diabetic in my 60's. September of 2021 found me at 240 pounds and high A1C, my doctor prescribed Trulicity, (another semaglutide). I was on the medication 15 months, on my own the past 13 months. I have lost 105 pounds and my A1C is still improving. There were periods of discomfort the first 6 months and I stayed in constant contact with my physician. I was a size 22 and am now size 8. I feel better than I have in many years! Exercise and eating more healthily come easier now and will remain part of my ongoing self care.

I'm a physician, one who prescribes this medication, as well as other similar meds. My wife and I tried it, and were sick from the very beginning. Reflux and burping began immediately. It only got worse from there. I felt anxiety, depression (never felt either before), severe fatigue, nausea, constipation, and finally, stomach paralysis (ileus). I brought up food from 5 days before, completely undigested. That is when we both stopped it. I was lucky, but I am very up front about it's side effects to my patients.
Bringing up undigested food you've eaten five days prior, sounds horrific! Why are they even prescribing the drug to diabetics? Sounds like it's a terrible medication.
@@villanelle8888 Because the life expectancy of someone with untreated diabetes (50% mortality) is something like 1 year and someone took a risk and changed that to 17 post diagnosis in 1921 but we don't have a cure for it yet and for the record Type I is hereditary while Type II can be hereditary and/or lifestyle. I think you are over reacting and thinking emotionally and not rationally. It's a drug. It's not for everyone as results and side effects vary, just like any other drug. It has to be out there for a bit before we have long-term studies but it has cleared FDA issues so far. Finally, patients need to be honest with doctors and pharmacists, both of whom need to stick to the oaths they swore and communicate with their patient. Do all that and then, absent emotion, folk can judge it on it's ethicallity and efficacy both relentlessly and continuously, just like every other medication should be handled. edit: I want a cure for this. How it effects my mind, yes mind, and body is evil. It didn't work for @joeydryer1260 or his wife, yet he still prescribes - perhaps with a stronger warning now. If that's not good enough for you, look at the list of side-effects for anti-depressants. They all, or most all, share 1 specific side-effect. You gotta do the looking because it is so horrific that I doubt RUclips would allow me to post it. Yeah, it's that bad.
I am currently on Ozempic, though my situation is kinda different, I'm already a diabetic and at my heaviest i was over 230kg. I was 165kg when i started Ozempic 5 weeks ago. So far i have not noticed any of the nausea side effects however prior to taking the medication i often experienced nausea especially after eating a meal. My GP who prescribed it mentioned all the side effects that could occur and told me if anything felt off i should immediately stop taking it. My pharmacist also mentioned the exact same things as my GP. I personally feel the drug should be used by people who are like me, diabetic and morbidly obese, unfortunately we have people like the "entrepreneur" in this clip prescribing it to people who not only dont need it but are using it as a cosmetic/quick fix alternative for their beauty treatments.
@@sharonfoust-mills936 Have you...seen the list of complications for diabetics who can't control their weight? This is like arguing no one should get chemotherapy because it makes people ill...if your illness calls for it then it makes sense even *with* a small number of people getting serious side effects. The issue is people using it when it's not actually a life threatening emergency.
My colleague became extremely sick on ozempic. She ended up in hospital for weeks. The specialists said they have seen several people like her who developed severe intestinal disease on starting the drug. In her case the drug triggered extreme inflammation, ulcers and bleeding - ulcerative colitis and crohns like symptoms but even worse. She was dying slowly from intestinal disease. Her primary doctor didn’t think Ozempic could do that but when she was so sick she collapsed- specialists at the hospital said it was certainly linked and sadly, increasing. She is now recovering but will have issues for life now.
You're naive. The drug companies fund the schools and hospitals that the doctors are trained and work at. And government regulators are lobbied by drug companies as well. The whole system is completely captured by pharma money. The doctors might genuinely be trying to help but they end up just doing what they were trained to do - identify symptoms and prescribe drugs.
I can't believe she was prescribed sexenda and oempic both at the same time..... those are the exact same medications. That's alarming. Whoever prescribed those together should be held accountable for that.
It is possible that she asked for them, thinking they would "work better together." and could have been prescribed by different docs/filled at different pharmacies, because at the pharmacy I worked it, it flagged EVERYTHING, there is no way a med interaction/duplication would have made it past the pre-verification/intake stage. @@sweetcherry7759

Im still on a low carb diet and fasting and walking everyday just hope on day I'll be complete drug free. Just a piece of advice its not only the drugs that is killing us food also.

A nurse friend of mine lost 60 lbs on Ozempic, but when she talked about her experience, she said she was nauseous and throwing up much of the time, couldn't eat but a few bites of food, and I and another friend noticed her affect (personality) became very flat and humorless. She wanted to lose another 10 lbs, but the doctor took her off because she was experiencing unwellness. She is in her 60's. She said overall it was a rough go since she's been on it. The rapid weight loss left her looking older, with more wrinkles, sagging appearance and general listlessness.
Omg yes. I know someone who also had a major personality change when she went on Ozempic. She was a fun and bubbly person that laughed and joked around a lot. And a few months after being on Ozempic she became zomibified. She stopped laughing, stopped smiling. She found absolute nothing funny any more. She became angry, bitter, offended by everything and anything.
As a type 2 diabetic, have been taking Metformin for 17 years. I noticed my sugars were very high and I am about 50 pounds overweight. I was prescribed ozempic and I’ve noticed my sugars are decreasing daily. I lowered my carb and sugar intake and have started going to the gym. I am trying to change my lifestyle and hopefully after losing weight, my sugars will be under control and no medication will be needed. I am taking a really low dose of ozempic and a high dose of metformin. No side effects yet. No stomach pain or gas.
The thing that surprises me is why doctors do not educate their patients about the various side effects. I am a Type 1 diabetic so I have to take insulin. I am overweight so the doctor thought I should try Ozempic as he said it may help lose some weight. Usually, it is for Tyoe 2 diabetics but doctors often prescribe it for weight loss. Prior to taking the drug I consulted my Retinal eye specialist as the information sheet in the Ozempic box mentioned the possibility of eye damage. He said he has noticed a number of his patients eye problems have worsened since taking Ozempic. He said the majority already had diabetic eye damage but when taking Ozempic their condition worsened. He said he would be wary about taking the drug as currently my eye condition is manageable but if I started the drug it could worsen. I am shocked my endocrinologist (and other doctors) have never mentioned this problem. Once I received my prescription I read the information leaflet and that is where I found the information regarding vision problems. Prior to encouraging their patients take Ozempic doctors need to discuss the dangers involved in taking this drug.
Most doctors are overwhelmed as it is. Almost all of my doctors appointments are 5 minute appointments. They tell me the most bare information to get me out of there and the fastest answers to any of my questions.
To the health care industry and Pharmaceutical companies. We are cattle. The goal is to move us through as quickly as possible. The opioid epidemic is the clearest evidence of this.
Good for you for doing your own research and saving your eyes. I wouldn't be surprised if the doctor was getting a kick back from the manufacturer of Ozempic

He says he wants to lose wieght but he continues to drink alchol everday, over eat and sit around. The problem with taking Ozempic just for weight loss is that it does not teach you good eating habits or teach you to move more.

I took Ozempic for about six months and I did lose weight. However, I started to get nausea in the middle of the night which was limiting my sleep to about 4-5 hours a night. Now a few missed hours of sleep isn't going to harm anyone. But multiple months of 4-5 hours of sleep will make you crazy. The medicine does what it's supposed to; it slows down your digestive system. Your stomach empties slowly. I just assumed after I stopped taking the drug my GI tract would return to normal. Well, it didn't and I'm still dealing with this nighttime nausea 18 months later. Buyer beware.
I’ve dropped 70 pounds on ozempic and I couldn’t be happier, 0 change to lifestyle as I was already quite active and ate fairly well, I got my life back, had some stomach issues at first but have completely gone and on a mid level dosage, doc asked if I wanted to up it but no need, I have the results I wanted and it’s made an amazing difference to me

I walk at least 3 miles a day and am ALIVE! Finally, after 20+ years of immobility.
I’m a diabetic and my doctor prescribed this drug. I took ozempic for about a year. I did lose more than 10 kg. But I felt nausea and gassy the entire time. When the drug became popular and hard to obtain in the pharmacy, I stopped and quickly regained all the weight loss.
I'm diabetic and was prescribed this. I lost 50 pounds and had never been so miserable. My hair fell out, I was nauseated and weak, and my kidney values plummeted. It was absolutely horrible. I stopped taking it 2 years ago and have gained back 15 pounds, but I don't care.
I heard those who stop taking Ozempic end up gaining back their weight (often times MORE), mostly because Ozempic completely screws up the NATURAL hormones telling your body/brain it's full. Your body adapts and learns only to take its cues/signals from the Ozempic drug. As a result, when you get off Ozempic and eat, you no longer have the NATURAL hormones to tell your brain you're full. So you get the false impression that it's okay to go on eating. It's horrible how drug companies see this as a way of retaining customers.
You are exactly correct. I was a diabetic andI thought about Ozempic but I wanted to see how it reacted on others first. I decided not to take it,instead I opt for something more natural because I was out of options and I decided to do a carnivore diet. Dr Mike, a popular doctor here in the states has been screaming these warnings from the rooftops since it became popular. My diabetic husband hasn't been able to get his ozempic in a year. We jumped through all of the insurance hoops but the pharmacy would rather sell it for $1,000 cash to someone who wants to loose weight than at the copay for a diabetic. I know 3 of my neighbors are on it for weight loss that don't have diabetes. Insanity.
Where do you live? My son treats diabetics with Ozempic or other types, but he gives it to you. He _only_ treats diabetics with it and monitors you carefully.

That was precisely my issue with using such drugs as a "quick fix",( at least that is what I have been told) for weight loss. My issue is that the medication was originally for diabetics. We need the stuff side effects and all. It seems such a good solution, I understand that. However, when it comes down to diabetics not being able to get life-saving medication due to its popularity for weight loss I get concerned. Don't get me wrong, I see the connection between diabetes, health, and weight. I just feel it has gone a bit too far when those who originally needed it cannot get it. I believe diabetics have different series of issues going on inside their bodies. That could maybe be why some diabetics can tolerate the medication. (Again, just guessing). I was tempted to switch to Ozempic but my current medication is working and I don't want to tempt fate. I do wonder what happens when people stop taking the med. I'm not really debating here. I'm just thinking about the whole topic.

When my dose goes up I hope to shed a few pounds too. I’m so grateful for this medication. U tried everything and nothing was helping me with my hormonal issues and blood sugar till now!
Ozempic helped control my A1C level. However, at 1 mg I lost quite a lot weight with no other side effects. I asked my doc to reduce the dose to 0.5 mg again. It controls my A1C well without losing more weight. With any drugs, people should use it for its intended use and discuss any side-effects with their doc. Stop taking it if the side-effect does not resolve - as everyone has different tolerance to certain meds. The drug won't work without lifestyle changes? Yet you say you tried all kinds of lifestyle changes, but they didn't work; so why do you think they will work now? If the patient is not truthful with the teledoctor or they use more than one doctor for the same reason, then the consequences are on them.
Doctors do prescribe this drug and the side effects still can be fatal. It didn't work out so medically well for me either. This stuff messes up vagus nerve as well as stomach paralyzed.. not good for weight loss at all
100%! And who injects themselves w any miracle drug and doesn’t do extensive research? This is sad but anyone who knowingly puts looks over their health knowingly takes that risk and we’ve all been looks obsessed so I’m not judging. However don’t blame the doctors.
@@12345MsStacy Consider the psychological pain people are in. She was experiencing ongoing vomiting and nausea, but she kept going because the alternative -- staying at the weight she was, hating what she saw in the mirror -- was a worse pain. When people willingly keep doing something that causes them pain, you can be sure that there's some other, greater pain they're trying to escape.
I’m on Wegovy and have done very well but my weight loss as been over a year not 5 months like she did-sad story -terrible loss-you share my very thoughts and every drug has a potential to kill anyone that the drug doesn’t go well with an individuals body-and you’re correct- they made no mention to the other drug -just that they were taken together so easy to miss that important fact
I took one injection of the lowest dose of Ozempic and ended up in the ER two days later. I had SEVERE stomach pain, I was throwing up and having diarrhea with blood in it all at the same time. It was horrible!
I am just recovering from the effects of Ozempic. I started getting very ill a few months ago. I had pancreatitis and gall stones directly related to Ozempic...my gall bladder was removed by I have ongoing inflamatory problems with my bile duct and pancreas. I lost 20 kgs and nearly lost my life...I was so sick.
I took ozempic for 1 month and I noticed I was having some behavior issues during that month and then I was put on the pill form of it and I went and got even worse. I looked up on the medications and of course both those medications can cause psychiatric issues though very rare. I immediately stopped within 2 weeks I was back to normal. That was my experience with the medications.
@jenc7017 that's horrifying, especially causing aggression like that. It's bad enough that depression lead to suicidal ideation. But the thought of outward aggression as well is also dangerous. I'm glad you noticed and stopped
I read, here in Canada, the propensity of suicide from taking this drug is real. It basically triggers the brain to not feel hungry. Any drug that messes with the brain needs to have that warning upfront.
I have been taking Ozempic since Nov of 2022. Started lowest dose and felt upset stomach for the first few days, no vomiting. Gradually increased the dose to the current 2mg..One year later, my AIC levels are back to normal range of non diabetic, I am 65 pounds lighter. I am still taking Ozempic with the only side affect being that I don't eat as much as I used to at all
@@martinamladenovic5529 no, people like her and me are obese. We need a little help ALONG WITH diet and exercise to look normal. Not supermodels, but not obese. No one wants to hang out with obese people. We are trying to do what we can to change our lives.
I believe Ozempic should be used to control blood sugar in diabetics and only for weight loss in extreme and urgent situations. I think it’s a dangerous idea that it can be used in response to the obesity crisis. As a society we need to work on prevention, education and professional support for obese individuals.
Thanks for sharing your experience. What I don't understand is, when people have side effects like that, why can't they just drop way back on the dosage, and ramp up very slowly? I've been in charge of my own dosage since I started at the beginning of February. It was only a month ago that I reached 2.4 mg per week. I am not taking the brand name, but rather getting it from a med spa. That is the only access that I have to it. I gained 40 lb over the last 3 and 1/2 years, not counting this year, and this year I dropped 30 lb so far, starting in February. Actually, I started my dose so low and ramped up so slowly, that I didn't start to drop until about June. I also didn't have any nasty side effects. The most noticeable side effects that I have are feeling faint if I try to get up off the floor, and feeling sleepier than normal. I also have acid reflux which I treat with a zantac pill every few days.
I'm a dietitian at a medical weight loss center and its been within the past few years we've seen patients come in and request medications by name, regardless if they met minimum health requirements for begining the drugs. It has not been like this in the 6-7 years the program been running. I feel that many of my patients just trudge through our appointments just to check the boxes so that the doc will prescribe the drugs. I do see great the things these medications can do for people who put the effort into changing all aspects of their life like their diet, lifestyle, mental health, social well being, etc., but I wish more patients understand that the drugs are not miracles.
I request meds by name bc I know my body, my allergies, and I do my own research beforehand. Drs tend to circulate the same drugs over and over and treat the symptoms, not the patient.
Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety, smoking, and illicit pills addiction. Imagine carving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not, in a couple of years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.
Psilocybin is legal in some states and mushroom therapy is allowed in many states as a legitimate medical treatment. So I believe soon it'll be globally used as a treatment for anxiety, depression, and more.
Can you help me with a reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. It is very hard to get a reliable source here in New Zealand. Really need!
Yes, Sporeville. I had the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction... Mushrooms definitely made a huge difference to why I'm clean today.
At 60 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and I asked my hospital GP if I could go on the Ozempic and was told no because with the diabetes medications it is very well controlled. I now have a new hospital GP and with the help of 0.25 Mounjaro and a mediterranean type eating habit I've dropped 20kgs over 6 months and haven't had any of the nasty Ozempic side effects.
It’s definitely not appropriate for a psychiatrist to prescribe Ozempic anyway. That’s not their area of expertise and they should be referred to a general medical doctor if they don’t have one. She does bring up a good point that people that are just trying to lose some weight Is a problem.
FYI, psychiatrists are medical doctors in Australia. They pass all the training of any other medical doctor and then go on to specialize in psychiatry. But I do agree that weight loss specialists should ideally be the ones prescribing medication for weight loss.
Psychiatrists in the US receive a medical degree just like other doctors. It's just that their specialty is psychiatry (after 8 additional years of med school).
@@jackg.3187. It’s the same in the USA, but they still shouldn’t prescribe a diabetic medication! If a side effect is weight loss, then the medication needs to go through the same testing process as any drug. In the USA, by the FDA as a weight loss medication. As of now it should only be used for diabetes and monitored appropriately!
It absolutely is appropriate if they are an Endo Psychiatrist. My father is both an Endocrinologist and Psychiatrist and does prescribe. It for some patients. 14:01
It's amazing how our modern world can never fail to disappoint. Weight loss is like a maze, where you can't skip to the end or cheat it. You have to do the process the intended way
I know someone who got gastroparesis from taking this & it’s all but ruined her life. She can hardly eat or drink anything because the stomach won’t empty into her intestines so the only way it can get the food out is by making her wretch every day. It’s not something that’ll necessarily go away after you stop taking it either because she stopped 6 months ago & isn’t any better. I think people that have diabetes & have weight problems should take it bc the benefits outweigh any potential negatives but anyone not fighting a serious deadly disease should not take it.
Agreed. I take semiglutide for diabetes type2, and it has saved my life. I lost 76 pounds in 6 months, which was a welcome loss. I feel a million times better and my A1c level has dropped to normal levels. I was previously on Metformin for about 3 years. During that time I was diagnosed with stage 3 chronic kidney failure. This was attributed to my diabetes diagnosis. However, within one year of stopping Metformin, my kidney markers on my lab tests are all within normal limits now. It was the metformin that was killing my kidneys.
My husband stopped taking Ozempic. He has been taking it for several months but lately he had some bad reactions. Aside from the nasty metallic burps, he started throwing up, diarrhea and rashes. He passed out and good thing, he only broke his foot. Needless to say, he stopped. His doctor prescribed it and has taken it for several months with no problems.
I’m a type 2 diabetic and I’ve been taking ozempic for about 7 months and I think it’s made me sick I get diarrhoea, wind, burping, dry reaching and a pain in the gut after reading this I’ll stop 🛑 now

So his wife was using both Ozempic and Saxenda, mention at 4:30. Saxenda had the same side effects as Ozempic, but yet this video is only focusing on Ozempic. Using both these together is extremely dangerous...This video seems very bias and hasn't mention anything about Saxenda.
I’m a type 2 diabetic for more than 15 years. I was unable to control my sugar lately but Ozempic has helped me greatly. There were some drawbacks before but now I’m ok. Great 👍 for me personally.
I’ve been on semiglutide since March under a doctor. I’ve lost 60 pounds and feel so much better. I don’t have side effects. I was nauseated the first few months but after that I was fine.
Never let celebs manipulate you into buying what they're punting. They act all knowing, but they're not. Also, celebs have resources that the ordinary person doesn't. Time, money, healthy food, personal trainers, gear, unlimited access to quality healthcare.
Hi, I started taking Ozempic the last time I was in hospital. My cardiologist involved a dietician, psychologist and my GP, I was classifies as morbidly obese. I have been taking it for 18 months and have lost 22 kgs now. I had one bout of diarrhoea when I first went from the .5 dose to 1.0 dose and in the first few weeks on the 1.0 dose I did feel a bit unsettled in my stomach, but nothing that scared me. Most of the time now I feel comfortable with eating a balanced diet, I don’t usually get hungry and when I do eat, when Ive had enough I just stop because I don’t need to eat anymore. It has helped me heaps, I have never had underlying gastro symptoms or problems but I do believe that your doctor should be the starting point. I’m not recommending it or not, this is just my personal account.
Crucially, you have a team of medical professionals consulting each other on your case. Most people don't have that. I'm glad that the medication has benefitted you.
The beauty standards of 2023 are unattainable... I wish all beauty standards could go away so people can live more peaceful lives. Beauty standards only make people miserable... And oh... Would be wonderful if people could stop weight shaming others! Overweight people are already aware of their situation and don't need anybody else to point it out.
All I can say is...Don't do it, this injections will kill you. I tried 1 time, and I went from the medical office to the emergency care that night, so sick I was.
May your soul be at peace, Trish. She seemed like such a happy lady. Although an unrelated product, this reminds me of Philips Medical taking 11 years to recall certain CPAP/BiPAP machines, despite numerous customer reports of black particulate matter in the hoses and masks of their devices. It turns out the polyester-based polyurethane foam used to reduce noise in the device was breaking down. As a result, people were breathing in the gas from the foam and the tiny particles were going into their lungs. The recall is in its second year and still going. The lawsuits have started, too, thankfully. There have been customer cases of lung disease, cancer, and even deaths. It seems that pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers only have to show that a product isn't (currently known to be) unsafe, rather than proving that it is safe. Profits over people, as usual. There have been positive advances in the healthcare sector, too, of course. I've learned that I don't want to be an early adopter, though. Things are only safe until they're not. The list of withdrawn drugs is pretty eye-opening.
always go with resmed. They have been top of the line brand for cpap and bipap machines. Thanks for the info, know someone on a philips machine will let them know.
@@margarettownsley9500 Anyone with certain affected Philips CPAP, BiPAP, and Ventilators should have received a recall letter. But, if one searches for "Philips Respironics Voluntary Recall Information," they should find the main page and a tool to enter their device serial number to see if it's affected. The site also lists phone numbers for various countries to call and get assistance from a representative.
@@wsrtwetr I appreciate that advice. I get mine through the Veterans Administration, so, unfortunately, they don't give me any choice. The VA I visit has ResMed devices, but my previous VA issued me a Philips DreamStation. I asked about trading the Philips for the ResMed, but they have, thus far, said no. I'll keep bugging them about it. Thank you for your feedback.
Every drug has side effects. It’s amazing how quickly we forget that. My mom died from a reaction to a medication (not weight loss related). I don’t take medications if I don’t really need to. Vanity isn’t enough of a reason for me. I understand people with diabetes but just to fit into a certain dress isn’t worth it. So sad.
I wish lots of people have same mindset as you, medication cant work alone especially like metabolic problem like diabetes. sadly most of the patients depend too much on medication and neglecting other aspects

My specialist weight management consultant has offered me this as a tool to help me lose enough weight so I can live a life without pain. My mother was 68. She was obese, diabetic, asthmatic, had heart disease and knee problems. She was prescribed Ozempic and was dead before her third injection.
I have wondered this from the start as I have many friends who are on it and they just don't look healthy. Something we should have learned by now is that anything too good to be true is too good to be true
The problem appears to be that doctors and patients can't tell the difference between normal Ozempic discomfort, which is expected, and a severe problem developing.
Literally all of my middle aged female colleagues are on ozempic, here in Switzerland it’s paid by the health insurance, they are prescribing it like it’s vitamins
That is insane. Yet no real push for proper nutritional counseling and lifestyle changes. I've lost over 50 lbs by eliminating all processed foods and working out. No meds.

I am very grateful for this medication because I am now weighing 198 lb and I used to weigh over 270 lb and now I can walk better and my lower back pain is alleviated and I still want to lose 20 or 30 more pounds my concern would be that when I stop taking ozempic will I gain all the weight back? With the history of my life and yo-yo dieting I would imagine I would unless I stick to a very strict strict dietary regimen. This beautiful lady from this RUclips video was taking two drugs not one but two and she wasn't even diabetic. I don't know why doctors would allow that and it is very sad and breaks my heart God bless this beautiful man and his family and may she rest in peace😢
I work in a nursing facility. We currently have a 34 year old female that took her father's insulin for weight loss. She is the first person I know personally to be affected by this. She will never walk again, she will never talk again. She's on oxygen and now has a trach. All to lose weight. She is way too young to be in a nursing home. But in reality, she made decisions that placed herself there.

I was prescribed Ozempic by my Dr. For diabetes. My blood sugar was high from being sick. I was so sick vomiting and diarrhea and got so dehydrated l ended up in hospital . My heart raced so much, I nearly died. Luckily my daughters knew what was happening to me, and due to them being in health care field. l went to hospital at the rite time. The Drs even stopped my heart twice and restarted it thinking my heart rate would go down back to normal, but it didn't! I was in hospital 5 days on three IVs to hydrate me and be on heart meds and was also given a blood thinner. Finally sent home on heart pills and blood thinner. But when Ozempic was out of my system, my heart was normal again. Drs then took me off heart meds but unfortunately still on blood thinner. I'll get ultra sound of my heart to see what damage I have. I'm 62, with a lot of health issues anyways, so this didn't help. Everyone is different, just know Ozempic side effects , don't take it unless you really need it. It's killing people, and could kill you, it almost killed me. I understand the manufacturer wants to make money , but not at yours or mine expense. We were told in WA state there is a world wide shortage. People in California Hollywood are using it to lose weight instead of helping diabetes. Please be careful!
As a prescriber myself, I have to say doctors are not allowed to prescribe whatever they want as that man says in this video. You need to follow clinical guidelines, make sure it's clinically appropriate and in the best interest of your patient. And unfortunately the public cannot solely rely on the judgement of a clinician as this video demonstrates.
So I was prescribed it in Canada, neither the doctor or the pharmacist told me it was a “black box” drug.. my liver is damaged and I will have Gastroparesis for the rest of my life… I almost died on Ozempic and spent a month in hospital

The "Oh, Oh, Ozempic" ones crack me up because I think "Oh, Oh, Okole" (Hawaiian for rear end, where those shots might go lol). The thing with Ozempic is, all it does is make you eat a bit less, right? Hey, why not try eating a bit less?

With these drugs the food stays in your stomach it doesn’t pass down into the intestines how disgusting. I can’t believe how people are so gullible to subject themselves to something like that. I don’t feel sorry for them.
I had been taking Ozempic from around late February to late June of 2023, and due to the side effects I had to lengthen my dosage (0.25 units) and right before I took my next dosage, I started getting tremors and fasciculations. Then came the uncontrollable crying, then anxiety, then constant panic and a lot of gastrointestinal and cognitive dysfunction. I had lost a little over 50 lbs in just 4 months because I literally almost never ate. I still suffer from these symptoms and I struggle to keep my blood sugar from crashing because no matter how much I eat, it can still crash.
I used it too. It was so easy for me to get it. I had pains in my stomach , nausea. Then I stopped. I move more now , cut down on carbs, that seems to work for me.
My sister in law took took something called Wegovy and had shooting pain and tremors and back pain ..she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Now I can't prove that these drugs trigger autoimmune disease but I can't not prove either
@@EvaSawicka According to the digital scale I was using, it said I had around 17 percent muscle mass. However, I don't know what I originally was at before so I can't make an accurate comparison. I can tell you that I've been rather muscular most of my life (big shoulders, calves etc), and now I sometimes struggle to push a chair or even use a wrench because I've lost so much strength.
@@aaronman2817 One of the biggest negatives of Ozempic is that of the weight lost, 30+% is muscle. And when people stop the injections, many people regain the weight mostly in the form of fat. It's very difficult to gain muscle, and especially in old age muscle loss can be very dangerous. I have never used Ozempic. I am middle-age and been going to the gym quite a bit the past several months. I lost 10 lbs, but when I looked at body composition, I lost 11lbs of fat and gained only 1 lb of muscle. I really thought I would have gained more muscle, but it's been only 1 lb. So I think the doctors should advise their patients what to do to avoid muscle loss as much as possible when on Ozempic.
I don't think the small amount of weight such as 20 pounds in 4 months is worth the side effects and associated risks. 20 pounds in 4 months is less than a pound a week. 1 person in the comments said they'd been on it for 3 months and lost only 1 pound. That can be done without drugs.
I'm taking wegovy, 10 weeks now lost 48lbs. My diet has changed, lol now eating veggies gross. I have gas at times, but I had gas before with my poor diet. And it doesn't smell as bad. My joints feel a lot better with weight loss and mobility has increase, day to day things, getting dress. If I can't stand my side effects I would stop taking it. I am monitored weekly/monthly thru my MOVE program. Good luck to all.
Ozempic almost killed me - within 6 hours of my first dose I began cyclically vomiting for 3 days, multiple trips to ER and finally an emergency gallbladder removal in the middle of the night. I was in the early stages of septic shock when they decided to remove my gb. It was a hellish week. I have PCOS so even though I am not diabetic I’m still insulin resistant. For what it’s worth I have had zero side effects from mournjaro and it helped me bring my body back down to a healthy weight. I don’t know what’s in ozempic but be careful everyone please!
Causation does not equal correlation. If you got into a car accident 6 hours after your first dose of Ozempic, would it have also been Ozempics fault? No one’s gallbladder goes bad in a matter of 6 hours from the lowest possible dose of a GLP-1. Your gallbladder was likely failing for years. Unless you weren’t using brand name Ozempic and you have no idea what you shot into your body? Many people blame the brand who are buying peptides from China.
Jeez! 55 years old guy, newbie carnivore here. Seeing this stupidity of drugs, one after the other is absolutely shocking! Loosing weight is just a added bonus of carnivore. The amazing health improvements, I've already witnessed. Turn "weight loss" into a secondary bonus! It's not surprising that I still use the word "miracle" to describe it. ;-) Even tiny details like dandruff, bleeding gums and a vast etc. are gone! Never felt better in my life. 🙂 I am now using the inner most belt buckle hole. Nice. But surprise, surprise my wrist watch strap moved 1 hole out! My wrists are thicker, my muscles look and feel stronger! My vision improved, confirmed by my ophthalmologist! Diabetes type 2, high blood pressure, etc etc. all improved. Stomach related "stuff", bowel, etc. feel like a fine tuned and precise Swiss clock. Even farts are gone! What about that?! 🙂 Sinusitis diagnosed when I was 10 years old (yeah, 45 years ago)! Gone. I can breath so much better, sleep better and snoring way less! Protuberant belly slowly vanishing. Drugs are you f crazy?! I put a juicy fatty and delicious steak on the pan, with tallow... That's my "medicine". ;-) Now who tried to push me into Ozempic? My Dr.! Three times he insisted and three times I said NO. There's no morals all is profit. Disgusting.

So she did it to wear a wedding dress. And was taking two different weight-loss drugs. It's not the meds; it was her insistence on taking it no matter the side effects. A side effect to *any drug*, even aspirin, can be death if you just play around and take too much. She was still that obsessed despite the black box warnings. She shouldn't have been prescribed the meds without extensive counseling. And the risks are right on the package insert. It's super sad that people get pulled into this "miracle drug" BS. If you take it but don't change anything, you will be sick. A LOT. Poor lady. Also, fun fact: It's now being offered to people who have morbid obesity, legally. If you want to lose 20 pounds, that's not much, and I imagine (not sure) that working out more or doing non severe calorie restrictions will do it. THESE are the people creating the shortage, not the obese. If there even is a shortage. They may just want to bump up the price; or insurance companies may be holding out trying to get Novo Nordisk to lower the price. Either way, people with T2d or morbid obesity and PCOS-induced Insulin resistance are good potential candidates. Hopefully we'll see more availability and understanding of who it can help in the near future. Sort of like we did when we noticed that a heart medicine also caused boners. And Viagra was born! In future, I hope we can better inform doctors what it's NOT good for - losing a little weight, not for health reasons, but for vanity. This lady *might* have been a good candidate, but wasn't educated on the good and the bad, as I was. It's not magic; it's not candy. It's a commitment and a helpful push in the right direction for people who have tried every diet and can't lose weight over the course of decades. I take it for T2d, but how did I get that and metabolic syndrome? By eating poorly, and too much, and having injuries that prevented me from exercising, thus becoming obese. So I'm taking it now, and also seeing an eating disorder counselor. Because I've realized that I "eat my feelings' and I've always been a sugar fiend. This whole-person approach I'm using now has been the most successful for me in terms of healthy eating habits. I'm losing an average of 1.5 pounds a week, not 30 like some say they have. I suppose it depends on what weight you started at and if you drink enough water. I can't judge others' experiences. I can only speak for myself and say that it has improved my health and risk of all the things diabetes and obesity often bring. Thank you for attending my TEDx talk.
My mother totally would have done this. Hell she called me fat every day. I was 5.8 and 128 lbs. We all had to weigh in daily. Oddly it never bothered me. She was a fabulous cook and healthy meals were long and interesting. I laughed with her on her death bed that all her dreams had come true. She was skinny, her nails were fabulous, and she was finally a widow and she was going to Sandals. She was an enigma. I miss her every day
I enjoyed your TEDtalk 😂. I have always said that most people who are obese have some mental issues with food. I am disabled and know that I need psychological support as well as other types of help in order to lose weight.
I am on the lowest dose of the pill form called Rybelsus. I weigh 230lbs and I am only 5'6" tall but I suffer from debilitating Asthma and take Prednisone for it I cannot run, I cannot exercise and eating is uncontrollable due to the extreme cravings caused by prednisone. The dose is just enough to keep me from going to the refrigerator every 10 minutes. I no longer wake up in the morning with food on my bed that I did not recall waking up and eating. I usually eat a bowl of oatmeal in the morning, and a high protein meal like chicken breast and string beans for dinner with a half gallon of water throughout the day. I can still pig out if I choose to, and that's the difference this small dose makes. I am now in control and I can eat or not eat, but the uncontrollable constant thoughts of food are gone. Also, I have no side effects, perhaps because it is the pill form and a low dose. I have no plans to increase the dose. This med has changed my life for the better and I am a better person all around because of it. I am incredibly grateful. With that said if I was throwing up consistently with this medication I would obviously stop taking it and see a doctor or 5 if needed.

As a type 1 diabetic, I used Ozempic for a year. I lost about 10 pounds. It was ok but after a few months I stopped losing weight and still had to deal with the gastrointestinal side effects. It could be an option but I’d suggest fasting is probably better and costs nothing. After I went off Ozempic I did gain that 10 pounds back, at least until I fasted it off. For the money and side effects it’s not really worth it for most folks, although I’m sure some could benefit too.

My thoughts too. Also she was not diabetic. She shouldn't have had it with the other drugs.
I said No!

My colleague became extremely sick on ozempic. She ended up in hospital for weeks. In her case the drug triggered extreme inflammation, ulcers and bleeding - ulcerative colitis and crohns like symptoms but even worse. She was dying slowly from intestinal disease.

He said he would be wary about taking the drug as currently my eye condition is manageable but
if I started the drug it could worsen. I am shocked my endocrinologist (and other doctors) have never mentioned this problem. Once I received my prescription I read the information leaflet and that is where I found the information regarding vision problems. Prior to encouraging their patients take Ozempic doctors need to discuss the dangers involved in taking this drug.
Not just THIS drug...
Some of the other "safe & effective" drugs and their potential for harm should also be more widely discussed...

The woman in question had horrible side effects yet kept using the drug to fit into a dress for her daughter's wedding. Sadly she didn't know when enough is enough.
Good. Don’t do it.
And don't do gastric bypass either.....take it from me, WORST decision of my life
Gastric sleeve, 3 yrs post surg. Few problems, lost 50kg, a lot of health issues improved. Sleeve preferable to ilius or acute pancreatitis, and even a sleeve isn't without risk. Risks vs benefits as in everything
Bless you.
I'm a pharmacist and was sceptical of ozempic from the moment I heard it could cause such significant weight loss I wondered how bad the side effects could be, and now we're finally seeing. Makes me worried to hear Trish was taking ozempic and saxenda, if she was taking those together it likely was causing significant increases in side effects leading to her death. I'm so sorry to hear about her passing, she sounded like an incredible person just trying to do her best to fit into a dress for her daughter.
Moving forward for myself I'll no longer just be telling patients I personally and sceptical, but also mentioning how crucially important any G.I upset should be investigated immediately by their doctor and I can't advise them to stop it as I'm not their doctor, but highly recommend it if these side effects occur.
Troll for Ozempic, huh? Disgustingly rude, too. The pharmacist is more educated than you can ever hope to be.
@@ColRusSer He's backed by the facts and the pharmacist is acting irrational as are you I'm assuming and accusing from ignorance and fear. If you take a drug that makes you sick and continue until you die you're the problem.

At the end of the day this is what happens when pharmaceuticals becomes more about money than health.
pharmaceuticals are only about money. Nothing more. They are manufactured from the waste left over after refining crude oil for industry (petrochemicals)
My side effect was low thyroid. Heads UP.

Try changing diet - I was pre-diabetic, went keto/low carb and still am, lost 60lbs easy - blood sugar has been stable for 7 years. I eat lovely foods just no sugar and very low wheat. It's life changing doesn't cost a fortune like drugs and as a bonus got rid of my chronic acid reflux.
Absolutely heartbreaking. RIP Trish🙏

I’m on ozempic, and every single side effect I’ve have had has been positive. No more hot flashes or gold sweats. I don’t crave alcohol anymore and when I try to have a glass of wine I hate the taste! (Which is a good thing). Also do not smoke anymore. Before ozemouc I was addicted to sugar, to binge eating, to smoking and to alcohol. I haven’t lost any weight yet but it’s only been 5 weeks, and I’m on a very small dose. When my dose goes up I hope to shed a few pounds too. I’m so grateful for this medication. U tried everything and nothing was helping me with my hormonal issues and blood sugar till now!

I'm 15 and My doctor wants to put me on it if I get any side effects should I stop taking it ?
Ozempic helped control my A1C level. However, at 1 mg I lost quite a lot weight with no other side effects. I asked my doc to reduce the dose to 0.5 mg again. It controls my A1C well without losing more weight. With any drugs, people should use it for its intended use and discuss any side-effects with their doc. Stop taking it if the side-effect does not resolve - as everyone has different tolerance to certain meds. Prior to ozempic, I took metformin but I got constant nausea and feeling sick all the time that I refused to take it anymore.
How are the side effects so far? I was prescribed Metformin to help me lose weight and manage my PCOS, but I gave it up because it made me feel sick.
@@stormtrooper253I have PCOS and I'm on Metformin. This injection hasn't been recommended as far as I know to help treat PCOS symptoms. This is only intended for diabetic patients and is newer on the market.
@@stormtrooper253 I was a bit nauseous and some loose bowel for the first dose and again at 1 mg dose of Ozempic - but it resolved quickly, unlike the metformin where I was constantly nauseated for days. A friend of my mom is on Ozempic for diabetis. She hasn't lost any weight ! (?) But her blood preasure and sugar levels are low, so she's happy.
My husband is diabetic and was on Metformin but it made him have diarrhea so so bad! He’s now on Ozempic but for the last 2 weeks the pharmacy has been unable to fill the prescription…they can’t keep it on the shelf! It’s a shame because it works well for his diabetes and doesn’t make him sick!!
My mother's endocrinology and orthopedic recommended and prescribed this medication to my mother, a patient with diabetes who needs to lose weight but with ulcer colitis. Three day after taking the medication she start with diarrhea, nausea and abdominal inflammation, after I see this video I call the doctor and they said stop the medication. The doctor did not see the patient's medical record. If you are overweight, you need to lose weight because everything you have is caused by the overweight and prescribed anything. Even give examples of the medication free at office visits. Today patients are not safe with doctors. Medicine is a business and the only thing important is money. Thank you for this video.
@@yaimilygarcia84 the issue here is that the doctors know very little about peptides and what dosage. Ozempic is wonderful if the dosage is controlled. Start with 1 mg week…. .. 5mg is way to much and will cause the problems your mother had.
I was diagnosed with T2D in July of this year. I had tried diet and exercise for years and kept yo-yo-ing up and down with my weight. My dr. and I talked about Ozempic, and then she had me see an endocrinologist and have her clear me before prescribing it. We took every precaution before I started the drug. It has worked wonders for me, I am down 25 lbs and maintaining a steady 1-2 lb weight loss per week, and it's controlling my T2D (glucose and A1c) as well as my cholesterol. The drug won't work without the lifestyle and diet changes. I think anyone prescribing it for people who are NOT T2D need to stop prescribing it.

Sorry to tell you, but, when you stop taking ozempic, statistics show you will probably re-gain the weight (everyone does on ozempic).Only from improved metabolic health, from particular eating methods ,can we sustain weight loss. The drug won't work without lifestyle changes? Yet you say you tried all kinds of lifestyle changes, but they didn't work; so why do you think they will work now? You can't take this dangerous drug all your life. You are taking an enormous risk only to regain the weight. Exercise and diet changes, with the right foods, will always result in weight loss. My heart aches for this family losing their loved one in the prime of her life. However, 60 Minutes did a terrible report on this case. NO one doctor would prescribe Ozempic and Saxenda at the same time. They are basically the same class of drug. 60 minutes just glossed over the use of both meds at the same time which would be, and was catastrophic. The poor woman overdosed herself. Did she go two two different doctors and not tell them what she was taking? Did she get one med online. Don’t make Ozempic a bad med. Every medication has side effects. Taken as prescribed and monitored by a physician, it has transformed people’s lives. People have to take accountability for their actions and choices re telemedicine. If the patient is not truthful with the teledoctor or they use more than one doctor for the same reason, then the consequences are on them.
Agreed!
Doctors do prescribe this drug and the side effects still can be fatal. It didn't work out so medically well for me either. This stuff messes up vagus nerve as well as stomach paralyzed.. not good for weight loss at all

I took one injection of the lowest dose of Ozempic and ended up in the ER two days later. I had SEVERE stomach pain, I was throwing up and having diarrhea with blood in it all at the same time. It was horrible!
What was the diagnosis?
Can you detail what you mean?
@@YeaNo. I was getting very depressed and very aggressive which is unusual for me unless it's a medication issue.

Any medication is not good for your body. Best is taking good care of your body naturally with diet and exercise.
I believe Ozempic should be used to control blood sugar in diabetics and only for weight loss in extreme and urgent situations.

@@heatherlott1342 We live in a world with very little accountability. Yes I agree with you and lost the same with getting rid of the junk foods and regular exercise, 4-5 times a week.
Very frightening.
This is sad and very scary!!
@@heatherlott1342 true that, I have to admit I was temped as well after seeing all of my colleagues results. I’ve stopped smoking and gained so much weight, I was desperate to lose weight, I said to myself if I can’t lose it on my own I’ll go on ozempic too. Started with intermittent fasting and lost 10kg (22lbs) in 8months. I could have done it in less time but I wanted something that I could follow long term and it worked and I gained health benefits rather than side effects from medications 💀.
I take ozempic. I take 1 mg weekly and I have lost 45 lb but I am diabetic. My doctor is wonderful and insists that I do blood work every 3 to 6 months to monitor me and my glucose levels are at a perfect rate at this moment. I do feel nausea and sometimes diarrhea and then sometimes constipation but I do not throw up as I have heard other people but every body is different.

If you don't mind me asking, what happened to her? What you described sounds like a major stroke.
@@absinthealiceit can be due to insulin. Insulin is to lower the blood sugar. If she didnt need it and she took too much, it means the blood sugar is going to drop so low that you can die.
And unfortunately the public cannot solely rely on the judgement of a clinician as this video demonstrates.
you should look at your drug box literature and read the side effects. One side effects of this rx drugs is CANCER. beware
Well this is proving otherwise ! Shady doctors, shady companies especially this young guy! Shame on him! He’s out for the money!
I can't believe Doctors are prescribing this to morbidly obese Boomers with obvious underlying heart issues. Isn't this a diabetic medication!?!?
So I was prescribed it in Canada, neither the doctor or the pharmacist told me it was a “black box” drug.. my liver is damaged and I will have Gastroparesis for the rest of my life… I almost died on Ozempic and spent a month in hospital
tech bro don't care as long as he makes his millions. And the doctors who went along with him should have their license taken. If you work within australian healthcare youd know how disgusting it is to operate that way - capitalizing on people's amxiety naivety
I'm in the US and Ozempic is being pushed like Halloween candy here. Constant ads on every form of media. The "Oh, Oh, Ozempic" ones crack me up because I think "Oh, Oh, Okole" (Hawaiian for rear end, where those shots might go lol). The thing with Ozempic is, all it does is make you eat a bit less, right? Hey, why not try eating a bit less?
it's insane that in the US they make ads for medecine... that would never happen in europe, except for harmless things like earplugs
@@lpc6629 In the evenings, it's one commercial after another for prescription medication. There is a pill for everything. All of it comes at a cost to your health.
Lisa Marie Presley died from gut obstruction... that's what Ozempic and the other weight-loss injections can cause. There's been quite a few deaths with this complication.
With these drugs the food stays in your stomach it doesn’t pass down into the intestines how disgusting. I can’t believe how people are so gullible to subject themselves to something like that. I don’t feel sorry for them.
I can't believe that misusing medication for a purpose it was never intended for has negative consequences!
Thank you for leaving comments on for us ❤❤
I had been taking Ozempic from around late February to late June of 2023, and due to the side effects I had to lengthen my dosage (0.25 units) and right before I took my next dosage, I started getting tremors and fasciculations.
Of the 50 lbs, do you know the % of fat and % of muscle that you lost?
Agree.
People are literally mοrons. That person for sure kept on eating tons of refined carbs and junk food waiting from a drug to perform miracles, lol 😂
People need to listen to their own body. She started to fall ill but continued to use the medication when she really ought to have stopped.
Yes I had some problem and stop take Ozempic 💁
Ozempic almost killed me - within 6 hours of my first dose I began cyclically vomiting for 3 days, multiple trips to ER and finally an emergency gallbladder removal in the middle of the night. I was in the early stages of septic shock when they decided to remove my gb. It was a hellish week. I have PCOS so even though I am not diabetic I’m still insulin resistant. For what it’s worth I have had zero side effects from mournjaro and it helped me bring my body back down to a healthy weight. I don’t know what’s in ozempic but be careful everyone please!
You poor thing! Do you think there is any reason behind your catastrophic reaction? Sorry to hear. I hope you are better.
Omg 😱 this is happening to me right now
pcos did it to you not ozempic
Sounds like your gallbladder almost killed your.
They say not to get pregnant for 2 months after using Ozempic. It says a lot
Most drugs that are extended release have this warning
Jeez! 55 years old guy, newbie carnivore here. Seeing this stupidity of drugs, one after the other is absolutely shocking!
Loosing weight is just a added bonus of carnivore. The amazing health improvements, I've already witnessed. Turn "weight loss" into a secondary bonus! It's not surprising that I still use the word "miracle" to describe it. ;-)
Even tiny details like dandruff, bleeding gums and a vast etc. are gone! Never felt better in my life. 🙂
I am now using the inner most belt buckle hole. 🙂
Sinusitis diagnosed when I was 10 years old (yeah, 45 years ago)! Gone. I can breath so much better, sleep better and snoring way less! Protuberant belly slowly vanishing.
Drugs are you f crazy?! I put a juicy fatty and delicious steak on the pan, with tallow... That's my "medicine". ;-)
Now who tried to push me into Ozempic?
My Dr.! Three times he insisted and three times I said NO. There's no morals all is profit. Disgusting.
I have heard of so many people who have reversed their diabetes and so many other health conditions by adopting the carnivore way of eating. I feel great after a steak :-)
I’m on it, I work out four times a week - no sickness - and down 21kg.
How much are you on? I took my first shot and had to go to the hospital because how bad the side affects
@@dianaulichny972 started on .2mg and moved to 3mg and had no issues. I’ve now taken myself off it as want to maintain my weight loss without the use of a drug.
Prescription required means people NEED medical supervision. Off label use is risky.
These poor people. Make eating vegetables delicious and working out fun you don't need these external things.
One person died? Can we please get the list of how many people are ALIVE because of Ozempic helping them lose weight, thereby getting rid of or minimizing high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, stress in their bones and joints?
There is a ton of information on how to lose weight naturally including fasting .
Ozympics is not a vaccine.
👏👏👏👏 Bravo. I listened to the entire thing. I am glad you are doing well. And I would not be surprised if you really did do a TEDtalk.
Make it a goal.
I miss her every day
My husband is diabetic and hasn’t been able to get it for 2 weeks now…
I enjoyed your TEDtalk 😂.
I hope to try a new Asthma drug called Xolair because I was once healthy and worked out 3 hours per day with BJJ, Boxing, weights and cardio, and I dream of being able to do that again.
My son is on Ozempic and has no side effects. He as lost over 35kgs. He is a different person. Happy and confident. Me, it made me so sick I thought I would die. When I started putting on weight instead of losing it I knew there was a problem. I'd developed Hypothyroidism. I believe Ozempic caused this new illness. I don't know yet if it will become Thyroid Cancer.
Just like every medication there are side effects. I am a 43 year old white female married for 21 years with 3 children. I started this meditation July 18th of 2022 and since then have lost 52lbs and have not reached the max dose or even close. This med has changed my life for the better and I am a better person all around because of it. I am incredibly grateful.
With that said if I was throwing up consistently with this medication I would obviously stop taking it and see a doctor or 5 if needed.
Have you checked whether you've lost more fat or more lean muscle mass? Peter Attia indicated people lose more muscle mass than fat so it actually leaves you fatter than before
@@x.y.7385Yes, losing weight needs to be done through good nutrition and exercise, especially weight training to preserve muscle. Otherwise, a higher percentage of muscle is lost, but regained weight is 100% fat. We literally diet ourselves fatter.

I thought Ozempic was only for type 2 diabetics?
We can't fast. We overeat. That's kind of the point of taking this medication. To help suppress the urge to stuff our faces
@@alexlifeson8946 I too overeat at times. Fasting helps me to balance out the effects of that though. I’m not saying it’s easy but it is quite doable for the average person.
Weight gain for type 1 requires higher dose of insulin when you’ve over eaten carbs. Ever consider keto ?
I thought it was not for type 1. The effects used to help your pancreas produce insulin and reaction to food.
I'm diabetic and this drug has really helped me lower my A1C and my daily blood sugar numbers. I'm thankful to have it. I struggled for a few years with diet and taking metformin. Ozempic has worked well so far. it's been almost a year. I take 1mg a week and haven't lost alot of weight but my blood numbers are really good...
I'm so glad that I'm far enough in my eating disorder recovery that I'm not enticed by the idea of a weight loss drug that's way too easy to get. If it has been around when I was younger, I absolutely would have lied to doctors to get it.
