We took Amtrack from Union station to Santa Fe Depot last October. It was a lot of fun. We stayed Spring Hill Suites. We liked the location because we could take bus and/or trolley to San Diego zoo and Sea World. It was our first time to see a Panda :)
It’s always a bit unusual when the video that follows one of your recent videos with an older pre-Traveling/Spunky Princess one…She really changes the substance of your vlogs, Chris (so much for the better!!)
I've once stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt nearby. It was nice. I went in early December, so room rates weren't bad. All the hotels rob you with parking fees. If you're looking for something much cheaper, there are places on Hotel Circle and nearby that. For those hotels, if you don't have a car, you should be able to take the San Diego Trolley to get to downtown and back. Several years ago I stayed at the Intercontinental in San Francisco (South of Market Street/several blocks from Union Square). I got a bargain that I've never been able to duplicate. The room was only about $65 a night. An absolute steal for S.F.
I'll add this to the list for the upcoming live stream to discuss in more detail... but I don't really write a script for these. Sometimes I've voicing the b-roll as I shoot out... other times I shoot all the b-roll and then go back to the room and record the talk track while everything is fresh in my head
That is a great view of the city from the hotel room! I find that odd that the water pressure was low during your stay there. I would not be too happy about that either especially with all the hotels I have stayed at. The hotel does look really nice, so I will keep it consideration (as long as the prices are reasonable) when I head to San Diego one day!
That reminds me of a question I had for a long time, but never could ask anybody: I heard there is a "California King" bed size, which is longer than the regular King Size. Are they common in California and do you find them in hotels and furniture stores? Thought, since you are a Californian hotel reviewer and physically tall to boot, who better to ask? I heard there is also a "Texan King", which is even longer than the California King. Wonder what they look like and how hard it is to get a mattress. The main reason why I'm interested in this is that to me, whenever I see American beds on pictures or videos, they look weirdly short and stubby to my eyes. I know it is an optical illusion, caused by the fact that they are to thick and wide and that regular Queen and King Size is 80 inches long, but I can't help the fact that they always look like children's beds to me, being someone who is used to the thinner European mattresses and lower bed frames, hehe. Were the beds uncomfortable for you, on your European trips?
You were too kind on your rating. First off, there are lots of water-saving shower heads that will make you feel like the water pressure is too high but adjustable rather than using the dumb kind that make it feel too low. Also, rather than requiring inserting a room key to get power, just switch all the bulbs to LED and still save over 10x of power. Pretty much what I'd expect for cali. So glad I no longer waste time visiting that crap state anymore.

Can you review the Hilton Bayfront Hotel in San Diego?
Gonna start doing hotel reviews soon. Question. Do you write the script then film the b roll or do you film the b toll 1st and then write the script?

Great Video! Try a review on "Rei Do Gado Brazilian Steakhouse," in San Diego!

Very true! I'll let you know when I plan a trip there!
You should make a video on San Diego cheap eats.
Happy memories 😍
Del Frisco's is good eats!
Is it near any beaches
Depends what you mean by "near".. not within walking distance to any.. maybe a 15 minute drive to the nearest beach
Way too small a pool for a hotel that size
David S you way to small pool

Unless you play center for a basketball team, you'll have plenty of room in a king or a queen size bed.
nice hotel
What in the world is a "Resort Fee"?
Watch this video for the answer to that question: ruclips.net/video/WiVXwljpRXc/видео.html
The hotels can charge it for free there is no law regarding Resort Fees
Parking garage 38$ a night SCAM😡🅿️
It's expensive for sure!
