1-Don't rest your hand on the gear shift 2- Never rest your foot on the clutch 3- Learn how to rev-match down shift Besides that, great car, lovely sound
Fugi a excessive wear on the shift fork then you’re gonna have to replace it, if you have to much pressure on it, I think it basically starts grinding it down. Don’t quote me but I think that’s why
@@fugia3444 You can broke the thrust bearing clutch (i found in traductor google im not english, sorry haha), but just if you do normally. And obviously you make a presion on the shift system that souldn't be there because when you are driving, you can see how the shift moves when you accelerate or not, because the engine moves and all the shift system does too. Sorry my poor english :(
the clutch is going to be ruined after a couple thousand miles if he does that yes. clutch on the pedal when you shift. my dads uncle also did that. he wnet trough 2 clutch's in 5years. a clutch is supposed to last over 150k miles. it can last over 300k too
not the clutch, but definitely the transmission gears etc. But he is wearing/tyring the clutch springs by always putting his foot on the clutch, when he isn't shifting he should put his foot nowhere near the clutch. Thats the way you learn it in driving school.
Get rid of the Gucci, fix the AC, get rid of the peeling clear coat, fix the rubbing, get alignment done ASAP, fix the clutch. Then you will have the sweetest 200k+ mile E36 M3...
so sick. Currently learning to drive stick too. It can get a little overwhelming at times especially when I stall. Luckily i’m getting confident enough and good enough to where i’m no longer stalling. Keep it up
You're much better at switching shifts, that with practice leads to perfection. Advice Nick do not let your left foot "rest" on the clutch pedal or you will wear the clutch very fast to rest you have the foot rest. Just think that this center of the steering wheel should be another one that is very heritage for the car. I understand that this is more fun because you have more involvement with the car. I wish I had chances to have an M3. Peace
Damn I need another M3 now! When it’s time...05 or06 E46 M3 comp pack 🔥 Another great video and pics Bro and looking forward to where this build goes 👍🏽
Not sure if you already have them or not but you should get reinforcement plates for your front and rear our shock towers are pretty weak and can mushroom or break through
TheRaven Yeah it sucks man it happened to me about a year ago. Rear passenger side strut tower also on my 325i but I've since had it repaired but kind of annoying how easily avoidable it could've been.
I feel so much better about driving my slammed 335i on Winnipeg roads after watching this lol... Come to Canada for a cruise and bring an extra set of struts with you nick!
When you drive a stick, do not rest your foot on the clutch pedal, it is putting unnecessary pressure on the clutch. Just put your foot on the footrest next to it, it is more comfortable for you and your clutch.
Lol, i was really tempted to pull an April fools joke on my Evo 9, like i sold it or it was stolen on posting it on my channel too, but i just couldn't find the heart! Good chill vid bro!
My favorite type of cruise “ I don’t know where I am “

point 1 why is that?
was looking for this comment lol

Keep it up man!
Dont put your feet always on the cluch pedal thats bad for the cluch
He gonna burn hella clutch 😂😂he need put his foot on the dead pedal
It's not bad for the clutch but definitely for the clutch springs
the clutch is going to be ruined after a couple thousand miles if he does that yes. clutch on the pedal when you shift. my dads uncle also did that. he wnet trough 2 clutch's in 5years. a clutch is supposed to last over 150k miles. it can last over 300k too
its bad yes if you apply alittle force. a no pressure rest can be fine
When I am rolling to the traffic light I put my bike in neutral between gear 1 and 2 on motorbikes
Had many cars, e36 M3 is the one I often still think about. Great steering feel and perfect body control - they should be treasured.
Just amazing car!! One of the best cars of the 90s
Fucken Nick ! We use to never do homework and cheat in math class haha now look at you ! Proud of you bro 👍🏼

Dope! Putting Colton on the map. Props on the channel man 👍🏻
Nick!! Don't rest your foot on the clutch. You cause premature wear on it, something rather small but easily avoidable.
No not really. Unless yoh got a heavy ass foot
@@rasharddauvergne342 true. But it's still something you should not get used to
@@vmbmedia yh you're right.
@@rasharddauvergne342 I feel bad for his clutch springs xD :P
you actually can ruin the clutch MUCH faster by doing that. my dads uncle did that and he ruined a brand new clutch in only 2 years
A little advice, dont rest your hand on the shiftknob. Its bad to the clutch. Love the m3 man, keep it up
not the clutch, but definitely the transmission gears etc.
But he is wearing/tyring the clutch springs by always putting his foot on the clutch, when he isn't shifting he should put his foot nowhere near the clutch. Thats the way you learn it in driving school.
I didn’t see him resting his hand on it when he wasn’t shifting. It’s ok to have your hand on it if not putting pressure on it.
@@ridge9066 having your hand on it is pressure enough to ruin it
When you drive manual, you enjoy! Great for long distances too
Watching nicks old videos is so crazy looking back 😭I remember this video still here til this day
Both your cars are too clean 🤤
what exhaust does it have?
That car looks hella clean. John Hicks is missing out lol

I’m 15 years old, I’m definitely buying this car
It’s the manual big dawg seems a lot more fun than automatic
Why is this so satisfying 😂
We in the UK just call it a manual gearbox as opposed to a stick shift. 99% of cars here are manual. Your shifts seem good to me. Nice car!
4:57 fuck I hate when people do that I barely started driving stick shift and they always do that shit😂😂
1:42 amazing voice crack
Bro keep up with maintenance and the car won’t die don’t worry about the miles I’m at 311k with a clean body and it still wants to go
I can’t believe you live blocks away from me. That’s so cool 😂
Love the sound of e36 , amazing video
clutch in , blip the throttle while going down a gear , boom rev match , you’ll learn how much gas to give
