The thick sound deadening and insulation come close to 500 pounds once you pull it all out. The stock downpipe is also really heavy with a big fat catalytic converter. Just getting some light weight seats, a titanium exhaust and removing some of the insulation under the interior will put you around 2700.

An average person would need to save up for 5 to 10 years to be able to afford a 25 year old E36 M3 in a driveable condition. Wouldn't say E36 M3 is slow, but I get what your saying, relative,
Sounds fantastic and great fun. 👌

The lightweight version of the E36 is a work of art. I never shoulda sold mine 😢

Just got myself an e36 m3 Vert a few weeks ago, came from a 1G GSX and 05 WRX. GSX will always have my heart, but man these M3’s really do get a good grasp on you, just gotta get rid of all the damn squeaks in the interior!

Love the videos lately, and that is not a slow car. But where is this filmed?! As an European, the whole area looks like the perfect picture of the American society. I find it really beautiful.

On a curved road, my 2.5 e46 touring is stunning. On the highways, it has more than enough to get speeding fines. Also fuel efficiency is comparatively great.

    I had a e36 318is when I was 18 and loved it.
It was slow as anything but never let me down.
In Australia we got the euro spec and I still remember it having thick glass headlights. Unfortunately they don't make the new BMW's like they used to
