Honestly, being the one who pushed you to read and review this with a donation, the best part of the review was simply hearing you enjoyed it. It makes me happy that you had a great time reading it. I'll check out the novel myself too and share some thoughts. I already have an idea for another tank thing I'd like you to review so might have to sign up to your patron.
I liked Steel Thread, basically Fury in 40k. But the final act did feel like it betrayed its premise as they had to leave the tank. The confrontation with the Chaos Knight was sufficient. It didn't need all the cultist headquarter stuff.
i am kind of curius why so many fictional tanks. looks like the maker only knowledge about what a tank is comes from a book about tanks from the 1920is. then put on imposible large guns.

"We do what we can to keep our machine happy and working"
the omnissiah is pleased.
One of the few, if only, 40k books where they DONT all die horribly. Sure they get pretty FUBAR'd, but they live.
The amount of times characters get ko'd is beyond unnecessary lol. Every last one of them had to be rocking full blown TBI's by chapter 20.
Nothing the Mechanicus cant fix with some metal bits.

They can always use servitor gunners for Bane blades!
I read this one about a year ago and really enjoyed it.
Check out the story Defixio by Ben Counter.
It's a short story, and is about a Savlar Chem Dogs crew in a broken-down Leman Russ Exterminator.
hahaha love the opening. Great Video keep them coming.
Got to say I loved the Book.
Long Shot and Cadia Falls also have great tank scenes. But of course they're just a small part of the rest of the story.
When will the Valkyria Chronicles review be coming out?
Great review!! Love it!

I think one more thumbnail image will make it work.
Honestly I hesitated on this one. I have a free credit on audible banked, I think I'll get it.

Feels good to watch from the beginning! I'll definitely comeback and let you how what I thought if the book, after I read it.
This is probably my favourite warhammer book.
Happy (Belayed) Veterans Day brother.
