The actor was named Victor Morrow he's was the manager of the Yankees in the Bad News Bears the kid he slapped was Brandon Cruz(Eddie from the tv show Courtship Of Eddie's Father) Victor Morrow was also in tv show Combat and he's the father of actress Jennifer Jason Leigh(Fast Time At Ridgemont High)

My daughter lived in LA for a while, Jon. She moved back because it’s just too expensive out there. Also, one of the reasons for the homeless problem there is the weather is good and the government provides so many services, that they congregate there.

Homeless taking up the entire sidewalk, with their Northfacee tents, is a west coast thing. After moving from Portland to PHILLY. I was surprised not to see giant encampments, like in Portland. In Portland, everything is given to the homeless, tents, tarps, EBT cards, clothes, medical, including dental, food, drug supplies, even tv's.
Drive up to Portland and check it out. You're not too far away. 😊

Mason park in the Valley, I watched them film there as a kid and my mom is actually in a background shot during the band marching in scene.

Great video, found you through Adam. I live in so cal. My brother worked at fire station “9” which covers Skid row. In fact there’s a documentary about station 9 and skid row I think on You tube. Anyway Los Angeles is a shit hole. I never go down there. They refuse to clean it up.

Philly Capt. why didn’t Adam The Woo show the bar from Cheers you were right by it on 6th n Los Angeles street by the old bus depot. You also didn’t see the field from field of dreams it was still the same until recently it was damaged in a fire.
Elisa Lam was found dead in the water tower at Hotel Cecil in 2013.
