Been there several times myself. Had to replace a 24 year old truck that was in extremely bad shape. Bought a 2013 truck with 66,000 miles on it and roll the dice again. Sometimes you have to make some hard decisions. Do what you have to do.
Good plan Wolvie. It takes some self discipline to get out of debt but it's worth the effort. Stay focused and be true to your personal goals.

I never buy a brand new Car. Drop in Value quickly. Certified pre owned shows all repairs records oil changes … 10 , 20 , 30 k miles on a Japanese car just breaking in . I have done this dozens of times. Works for me
Great job. Very wise move you are making. I am saving up for a new vehicle. With used car prices so high, I think it's worth it to get a new one in this market, even as prices for used have subsided a bit. I hope you can pay it off soon. Well done and great lesson for us all!

I hear that my friend. I got a new used car, very low mileage. I wish I knew more about negotiating price it seems I got about 1/3 the way through it after learning more about it. Could have gotten the price I'd wanted. My job is also on the risky side.
Good video, I don’t like debt either. I just paid my car note off as of this month and a couple years early. 👍 I do have one credit card but I pay it off weekly. It’s reduces anxiety for me.
Your not alone SW, many have slowed stacking or stopped. I've slowed way down myself but that's because I'm paying tuition starting in a few months. Investing in my son, so lets hope he does better than silver, lol!

Have not had any debt for 30 years. Paid cash for my house 14 years ago. Have purchased new cars for the past 25 years & try to buy them at a used car price. Usually keep my car for about 6 years. I sold my business 30+ years ago & retired at age 40.
That's why I bought a BMW e39. And I fix it myself,
I think we all need gold and silver to take a breather. I really hope for a pullback but I am starting to think silver is going to shoot up to $33.50 instead of giving me the pullback to $26 that I'm hoping for. Maybe we will all get lucky and can purchase cheaply one final time. I may need to get my car looked at soon if the new relay I bought cheaply on Ali Express doesn't do the job and fix my lights.
I am hoping to increase my food preps in case of any layoffs in the next 18 months. Things will probably get worse before they get better. Having some long term food preps I think can also ease the mind that there is one less thing you need to worry about in case of job loses.

My vehicle was a lease, the only reason I leased it was I couldn't afford to buy it at the time, so I leased it with the full intention to buy it out at the end, which I did

Now is a good time to pause. Prices on gold and silver have been going up. I am not buying now because I don't want to increase the average price of my stack. If it keeps going up that's great.

Get a new Toyota and have it fluid filmed so it won't rust and keep up with the oil changes at 3000 miles and you got a good 20 year car

I don't have a vehicle, I go into town two times a month with my neighbor. I do suffer, can't socialize. I don't have a family, they need a car. Wolvie you will sleep better doing what your doing. You bought silver gold at the lower prices.

I did just over 4 years ago... It was having problems again and the warranty was for 3 years SMH
I buy used and also buy full I'm cash. even if I had millions I could not justify buying a brand new car for around 40k (and above) out the door.
