As a black American, don't concern yourself about what America is feeling right now. Enjoy your well deserved victory. If we would have won we would not have concerned ourselves with the media in St. Lucia. We would have celebrated our athlete. Don't diminish this moment worrying about how we feel about it. We feel the way anyone feels when they lose. This is great historical moment for Julien Alfred, the first medal and bringing back the gold medal for her country... amazing and congratulations. I'm hurting for Richardson, but I am happy for Alfred and St. Lucia.

Boss man ain't that people not happy for Alfred. We expected her to run a fast time and do well.
We just vex with the nonsense France do to Shelly-Ann and Shacarri. They mess with them psychologically and physically. I was looking forward to somebody breaking the record. Cause I think it is time it gets broken. Elaine showed the world that it is within our reach. But that can't happen unless the competition stiff on the line. Elaine and Shericka done ain't there. You ain't see... Nuff folks who accustomed to run fast times like Ta Lou and Tia end up run slow. This nonsense France do mess with other athletes too. People wanted to see the best race ever and we did not. What we saw was interference and a form of rigging. Because you hosting means you can do as you like and not be held accountable for making rules as you go along and not informing anyone. With so much technology around. Really? No signs were mounted at the either gate either. So don't think we not happy for Alfred we knew she was a contender. We are happy for her. But France dampen we spirit big time, we can't even express utter joy openly. Think we wasn't looking for 123 from the Caribbean
