Intuition is an instinct, not an impulse and you don't have to fight with your mind about that strong feeling/instinct

One of the tricky things about dealing with intuition is we're limited to a vocabulary that's focused on explaining the more visible world, which can sometimes lead to confusion.
I use the word 'impulse' to mean that sudden pressure to do something, which is similar to instinct, but I use the word 'impulse' rather than 'instinct' here because we're working to develop CONSCIOUS intuition and instinct comes more from those subconscious areas of our awareness.
But perhaps you have a different distinction between impulse and instinct?
