mate - arktis and berghaus are 2 of my favourite kit companies. same as - bought the sas windproof smock back in 89 - as well as loads of other stuff they made. one of the best firms out there and made in the uk too. bob on mate
Hi Mack, i agree with u Arktis si a great Brand and i m using a Arktis Smock with waterproof lining since a couple of months, I m very happy with this piece of kit, windproof, waterproof and it really keeps me warm thanks for this Review Harry
Thanks for the heads up, never heard of them, went to their website but the black was out of stock - came home tonight and they had green ones on so I bought one £35 they have l xl xxl in the green - speak soon
Hi, i got on of those smocks from Buffalo, Special6 and one from Montane, Extreme Smock - like them. Both got their good features... - but i also like Arktis :-) never had one of those here in my hands... - So, what do you like about this one (maybe) compared to other similar smocks?
Ok, Thank you. That one from Montane is very thick lined - compared to the one from Buffalo, that Montane piece has a second layer at the elbows... which i like, the smock from Buffalo has better pockets and has this adjust strap at the belly pocket... - Never had that one from snugpak ... I think if i try a next one - it will be Arktis... but right now ... i dig their NEW Hot Climate Shirt :-)
Now that is one heck of a score Mack mate! Completely out of stock now which is a real shame as id have snapped one up right away! Thanks for the heads up! All the best!

The arktis ones seem a little thiner to be honest but at that sale price a right result..
