This is my favorite Waylon song. I love Sturgil and I can’t imagine anyone else doing this song and giving it justice.

I love Sturgill's music but there will never be another Waylon and after listening to his interview with Steve Earl he was not much of a Waylon fan and don't seem to like the comparison to him.
Sturgill always acts like such a smart ass when anyone says he sounds like Waylon, yet he had no problem singing Waylon's songs and riding his name to the top. This kind of music (and Laur Jomets) will always be the reason Sturgill Simpson got any recognition whatsoever. I don't know what that crap is that he's been singing lately, but I can promise you people won't be singing it 30 years from now.
Scott Thomas hes known for psychedelic country music. Every album he has is in a different state of mind. A true poet. I know ill be listening 30 years from now.
