  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease receives little attention and funding in comparison with other major causes of global morbidity and mortality, but it is a major public health problem. COPD is the end result of a susceptible lung being exposed to sufficient environmental stimulus and most notably the mixing of marijuana and tobacco. This documentary tells the story from the doctors who researched and documented scientific proof. It marries it to the accounts of several mixers who tell their UNTOLD STORIES of “Gasping for Life”.

Great episode. My Mom passed away from COPD complications as well as my Dad a few years after. I stopped smoking completely in honor of them, even though I am a devout Rastafarian.

This is hands down one of THEE best documentaries I have ever seen on Why you should not smoke, why you should definitely not mix weed and tobacco, including smoking BLUNTS. It's the same thing and it is a horrible practice. If I knew then what I know now, I would have never picked up smoking blunts.. Thank you for this documentary. I am on my smoke free journey now while I can still breath unassisted. Can't thank you enough. Their stories have not been shared in vain, not at all.

Well taken. I must commend you on a job well done, very informative. One thing bothers me though, I thought the whole idea of this episode was to make people aware of the dangers of smoking but, why is Dr. King placing his emphasis on "mixing and matching?"

According to the Centre for Disease Control, using marijuana and tobacco at the same time may also lead to increased exposure to harmful chemicals, causing greater risks to the lungs, and the cardiovascular system. This UNTOLD STORIES program was meant to highlight the dangers of mixing tobacco and marijuana. Speak to any mixer who has been smoking for over 10 years and ask them if they are exhibiting any of the symptoms described by the patients in this documentary.

Ok for those that don't know, there is no such thing as a good smoke. Smoke of any kind is bad for your health, but i do have a question, which i feel is also very important to further this test even though this was 4 years ago... my question is how would natural, untreated tobacco fair in this study? Also tobacco was and had been used for centuries to ward off evil spirits, so that part i don't understand why people smoke it.

1.Poorly done, cherry picking. 2.More developed countries people smoke less, wow doc where did u get those statistics. 3. Chasing the high from black tobacco, come on pancho never knew black tobacco was in the same class a crack .4.The majority of Copd victims I know use to smoke crack, that question was never asked. 5. Considering information is free we should be careful how we try to steer public opinion

The majority of COPD patients are tobacco smokers. It's more common for a chronic cigarette smoker to develop COPD than a crackhead. Check US hospital statistics..
