Yay! I visited my in laws there a few years ago, we stayed in Bogota for a few days and Cucuta after that! It was so pretty, I loved the food, the weather was perfect, I loved all the mountains 😍

I never seen so many trees there and the streets looked clean, l like coffee no cheese in them and Columbia is the best coffee in the world l have mine black no milk but two sugars . You went the best time because it’s summer over there was it hot over there? Look forward to your next video when you get back.

What an absolutely amazing trip that can never be duplicated because of all the tremendous amount of variety in such a short time!! Carolina and her family are a world of love. The filming is exceptional and this is the best travelogue ever to showcase Columbia!
How fantastic you were in my country, more than welcome. And even more amazing that you've knew Santander, is an amazing department with even more amazing things to do and see although sorry for the ants... I also hate them 😂😂😬 nice you were in Barichara but you've missed San Gil, the Colombia's capital of adventure 😁😁😁 Just a couple of things. About the security issue, although is far more better than 20 or 30 years ago, that situation is not as nice and your friend told you, at all. There are still many problems with it, perhaps is a bit more isolated and a bit less random than it used to be... as for Monserrate, you're right. Sundays are the worst days to go there as for the Candelaria. Is better go those places from monday to saturday, you enjoy them more.

I went to Colombia 5 or 6 times as a younger man in early 2000's, and I had an absolute blast! Everyone I met was pleasant and accommodating. I also really love the sound of Colombian Spanish. Thank you for making and sharing your videos!! Best wishes from Texas!
Dari, what an interesting trip and a different culture you have experienced. I was really enjoying the smaller town vibes. When you were filming in Bogota, I was feeling a little Deja vu, like I was just there, then I remembered Bald &Bankruptcy and Backpack Ben was there. Of course they show us the dangerous parts from the square. I guess when you get back to New York, you will have to sign up for dance lessons so you not like a fish out of water. 😁😁 You friend was a great tour guide with a smile twice as big as yours. Glad you had a great time.
Wow Colombia looks amazing now I know why they are famous for racing the mountain stages in the tour de France so glad you get to see so much of it and I don't kno about eating the ant that's crazy but the food looks really good and you have such nice friends I really miss your travel vlogs thanks so much for sharing

Beautiful diverse landscape and gorgeous woman that all can dance. The coffee is amazing but not everywhere. The locals often don't get the best. Thank you Carolina for sharing your country with us. What an amazing video about one of the most beautiful countries. I visited Colombia few years ago on a solo trip and was greeted with nothing but kindness. The people, the food, the views are fantastic there, I'm glad that you were able to see this stunning country as well.
My fiancé is from Colombia, in Bogata. I went to visit her the first time a year ago. I loved it. Mind you, there are certain ways to dress(namely males), and yes, I agree, keep items that look expensive out of eye sight. Just like you did Dari, having a trusted local guide take you around is the best. And yes, the coffee is AMAZING there, "Juan Valdez" shops. CHEAP as well. How I miss it.

Excellent video Dari. Not sure about the breakfast drink though! Loved the lakes and hills despite the dodgy roads. The boat trip looked great fun. Colombia has a poor reputation so l was much surprised about the national parks and cable car and that great monument. Great that you show us the good sides to the country and included travel advice from your friend. As usual there was lots of food some you loved and some not so good! Great scenes from the paragliding, I can see why youd be nervous but it was a great experience. Pleased to see many young people in the towns and most places pretty clean. Great glamping place where you can sleep under the stars. A lot of driving though, must have been tiring. The Bogota buildings were great to see but was amazed about the different prices based on class. Not heard of that before. Lovely video and I learned a lot from your enthusiastic presentation. Great work Dari!
I was there about 15 years ago over Christmas visiting my Columbian daughter (exchange student) and her family. We visited Bogota Medellin, Cartagena and her home town. It was a great trip. Air fare is cheap, so that's the way to go between point A and B. Travelling by road is difficult; in particular if you go from one valley to another as you have to climb up and over a mountain range.
Dari's in colombia!! One of my favorite countries to visit. I was too afraid to leave the cities though, since I didn't have a guide. But it's such a beautiful place with friendly people
I visited Cartagena, Columbia in the late 1970's for a week. I have found memories of the kindness of the local people, delicious food, and night clubs. Is was surreal.
Dari I love your honest opinion!!! In the UK we have cook programs on TV. Every time a presenter will eat they always say it’s nice…. Like we believe that 🤨 But your honesty when trying new food is re freshly different.😊

Fantastic adventure! Thank you for sharing! When I was in Colombia I was traveling with a friend who is fluent in Spanish and I know a little of the language, enough to get by. Definitely it helps if you have someone with you that can help smooth things over. Truly I liked the country side and the people there better than Bogota.. I could only handle Bogota for a couple days but I could see myself living in the quiet mountain top villages for months and being at peace. When I was there the country did not actually have a lot of fresh coffee.. most of it was reserved for export. Most of the coffee I had there was instant from crystals. But the fresh fruit juices were everywhere and I couldn't get enough, they were so good. So many fruits that we don't get in the U.S.. When you go back definitely try to get over to the Cocora Valley and Solento, the hiking up to the ranger station is a little challenging but if you can get off earlier you might have time to stop by the humming bird sanctuary. Rain usually rolls in during the afternoon so it helps to get to the top before that. There are also horses that you can rent to ride up to the ranger station. Loved the format and all of your design choices, Colombia is looking so good.
Wow! Yay! I love your travel channel continues! I love this. Eww gross. I would get SOOO sick of plantaines. My only complaint! Ha ha. Unless they make them better than the local restaurant in Charleston sc "fuel" does. Still simply amazing footage. No looking over the dishes I'm really not a fan of this type of cuisine. As a treat every once in a while maybe, yet who cares when your in a tropical paradise!?!? Lol your not back in NYC eating them out of a can! Ha ha jk but seriously I can cook better than some of those cheap NYC diners. I love the bakeries in NYC is where it's at. That girl is cool! How did you meet her? Hey I have that mtv shirt! I wonder if her country exported it to the USA or the other way around? Anyways i always find the concept of a " sweet cheese" desert in any place a bit too much. In lebanon they have a similar breakfast dish, and its simply too sweet for me. Cheese for me as an american is something that goes on a pizza with marinara not sweatened to taste like pure sugar or have maple syrup poured on it. I mean its edible but it is something you have to get used to. It couldnt be that bad as while describing it here i had a homer simpson moment and went "cheeeeese hmmm" while starting to drool. At the time it 😂 was simply too much. Now its in memory i want it! Isnt it ironic? I love yoi described it as a place where any moment a dance could break out 😂 lol

I was there about 15 years ago over Christmas visiting my Columbian daughter (exchange student) and her family. We visited Bogota Medellin, Cartagena and her home town. It was a great trip. Air fare is cheap, so that's the way to go between point A and B. Travelling by road is difficult; in particular if you go from one valley to another as you have to climb up and over a mountain range.

I visited Cartagena, Columbia in the late 1970's for a week. I have found memories of the kindness of the local people, delicious food, and night clubs. Is was surreal.

Fantastic adventure! Thank you for sharing! When I was in Colombia I was traveling with a friend who is fluent in Spanish and I know a little of the language, enough to get by. Definitely it helps if you have someone with you that can help smooth things over. Truly I liked the country side and the people there better than Bogota.. I could only handle Bogota for a couple days but I could see myself living in the quiet mountain top villages for months and being at peace. When I was there the country did not actually have a lot of fresh coffee.. most of it was reserved for export. Most of the coffee I had there was instant from crystals. But the fresh fruit juices were everywhere and I couldn't get enough, they were so good. So many fruits that we don't get in the U.S..
When you go back definitely try to get over to the Cocora Valley and Solento, the hiking up to the ranger station is a little challenging but if you can get off earlier you might have time to stop by the humming bird sanctuary. Rain usually rolls in during the afternoon so it helps to get to the top before that. There are also horses that you can rent to ride up to the ranger station.
Loved the format and all of your design choices, Colombia is looking so good.

Wow! Yay! I love your travel channel continues! I love this. Eww gross. I would get SOOO sick of plantaines. My only complaint! Ha ha. Unless they make them better than the local restaurant in Charleston sc "fuel" does. Still simply amazing footage. No looking over the dishes I'm really not a fan of this type of cuisine. As a treat every once in a while maybe, yet who cares when your in a tropical paradise!?!? Lol your not back in NYC eating them out of a can! Ha ha jk but seriously I can cook better than some of those cheap NYC diners. I love the bakeries in NYC is where it's at. That girl is cool! How did you meet her? Hey I have that mtv shirt! I wonder if her country exported it to the USA or the other way around? Anyways i always find the concept of a " sweet cheese" desert in any place a bit too much. In lebanon they have a similar breakfast dish, and its simply too sweet for me. Cheese for me as an american is something that goes on a pizza with marinara not sweatened to taste like pure sugar or have maple syrup poured on it. I mean its edible but it is something you have to get used to. It couldnt be that bad as while describing it here i had a homer simpson moment and went "cheeeeese hmmm" while starting to drool. At the time it 😂 was simply too much. Now its in memory i want it! Isnt it ironic? I love yoi described it as a place where any moment a dance could break out 😂 lol
