Signs of the End Times in Islam

The last day. The day of judgment. The end times.
There are many names to describe the day when Jesus Christ is said to defeat his arch nemesis, the Antichrist, and bring peace to the world once more after a brief reign of terror. A story that is prominent throughout both Christianity and Islam, with its inevitable conclusion awaited by billions of believers worldwide.
But what's often not talked about, is the times before the end times!
Today, I'll be taking a look at some of the prophechies of the end times in Islam, which though are widely known across muslim nations, are almost unheard of in the west. Which is tragic, as if anywhere on Earth needs to hear such signs, it's us!
