Best combo guide so far, simple, straight to the point and exactly what i was looking for, a single optimal/reliable combos for every type of launch instead of 5 combos per launcher where 4 of the 5 combos are just bad
Oh damn! Once again you deliver. When I started playing T7 I devoured all your general T7 and Kazumi guides and started to main her. Very helpful as always! I'll start maining Reina/Jun probably and today finally T8 is here so I'm hyped.

You can do the combo with regular wind god fist too so you dont need 2 electrics. But you will get more damage with electrics of course

Trust me, they get easier as you do them more and more. Eventually muscle memory kicks in and you hardly miss them.
Don't forget that you get free electrics in heat!
Short and informative video! Didn't really play tekken 6 and 7 so making the jump from tekken 5 to tekken 8 is quite the adjustment for me. I've decided I wanted to main Reina and learning her moveset has been really fun so far. Thanks for this!
This was amazing. Thank you so much. So concise but yet able to give us everything we need to know to adjust our combos depending on the launcher and not giving us too many routes and the commentary is perfect. Plenty videos show u the combo and u don't even know what you looking at. Because usually when learning a combo it means you're extremely new to the character so u don't know why certain things instead of others or why you're doing a certain thing. Using applay structure I found out you can squeeze even more damage
from CH b4, hopkick and low parry:
>> EWGF df2 df11 f23f SEN df1f SEN 1 qcf2
from CH b4 it gives 72 dmg (instead of 69 dmg from the video 3:11)
from uf 4 gives 66 dmg
from low parry gives 48 dmg
the execution becomes tighter but still very reliable

Great video friend. Messing around in practice and I found in the advanced d/f2 that you can add a d/f4 before the rest without much effort, its only worth a messily 3 dmg but it feels worth mentioning

For the séquence at 3:07, in fact you just gain 1 damage with the electric way. You just have to df2 after ff1+2 like you do for the electric and it does 68 damages ! 😁

I am guilty of doing electric on block into electric because of training mode and tekken 7, but your videos are an absolute godsend.
I'm not all that great at Tekken but I wanted to learn it some more now that 8's out. Thanks for this video, it might be a while before I can get it right but I think this sorta stuff'll be good to work towards
Combos can be daunting at first but it’s soo satisfying to get consistent with them, even more so when it’s a very technical character like Reina. Just expect to spend a lot of time in practice mode nailing the inputs :)

I’m actually using the combo challenge ones during matches which is quite shocking seeing how in other fighting games (inc. TK 7) I won’t remember them during matches. But since I’m using them, I kinda know what moves to use to create or adjust those combos for more damage.
I’m having so much fun doing that that in my 3 hrs. of playtime everyday, I spend 2 of those hours on practice mode

Yeah, that and the Colosseum has been my go to for practice and fights alike. I like big wide open spaces, but there are only 2 in the entire game. Really missing Infinite Azure right now.

Well you can at least change the songs in the jukebox. I actually have infinite azure playing in Yakushima right now in one my my playsets.

Another option i found that feels pretty solid after 2 electrics is df1,1 > f2,3f >df1 hold foward > 1+2 > ender. Does 76 damage with CD1,4 ender. What i like about it is if you happen to missinput a df2 instead of an EWGF for your second electric df1,1 will scoop the opponent and you can continue the combo. Feels inconsistent on SS right but works on SS left as well.
1:29 any tips on how to end the combo i can get to the heavens wrath part then i wavedash 1+4 and it doesnt hit them (nvm i got it, i just had to play about with the timing)

do you plan on adding strings to the library? doesnt seem like anyone has made a tekken 8 string cheese yet
to add
at the wall you can wallsplat with magic 4, 1+2, 221, df12, ff3+4, WRA2, WRA1+2 etc
in this case you still have tornado so you can resplat with b4 or MANUAL SEN 1+2
so you can b4 df11 1+2
or do something crazy like MANUAL SEN 1+2 WRATH 4422 1+2
I've found that her War God Kick (#93) doesn't connect after certain combos even though it really should. Like, she'll clearly be in range, but the kick will literally glitch right through the opponent even if they're laying motionless on the ground. Don't know if it's deliberate or an oversight that needs to be fixed.
Can I substitute a WGF for the EWGF as I practice my execution?
Or does the combo need the extra frames provided by the quick recovery of an EWGF?
You can do just WGF, it should work.
For the electric combo, if you can't connect f+2,3, it's because the second WGF has to be done sooner.
How do you cancel the stance into a wall standing 3. I’m having difficulty doing it.
Thanks! Strait to the point and very helpful :). Are there any guides out there to do perfect electrics/Crouch Dashes with Pad(PS5 dualsense) ? It is possible, but i feel the controller is so clumsy for this. I find it truly difficult to do consisent crouch dashes, so i only get normal uppercuts way too often. Best way ive found out to do electrics is so do 3+back/up/down into the UN stance and then press df+2, and then it comes everytime i get the timing right, quite useful in some situations, but not viable in combo's w/a pad xD.
Do you mean just doing the electric input, or the PEWGF? There's a difference.
If you are talking about normal electrics, just try doing it slow at first to get used to the motion, then you worry about getting the electrics. At least this way you can use them in combos without losing much damage.

You can find them in the Tekken Library document! df+1,1 into 1+2 is the easiest option

I'm new to tekken and i cant really do ewgf what would be highest damage combo without it?

Don't know if you noticed that you don't get the full damage from cd 1 4 after a canceled heaven's wrath. I think that it considers it like a df3 instead of a f n df. Maybe doing a double wavedash can fix this.
At that point of the combo, the scalling is very low, so the dmg difference should be really minimal, but I'll look into doing wavedash.

Thank you for this. As a new Tekken player I can only get about 66/67 damage max. Should I keep my combos shorter for more damage?
Just go with the combos you can do consistently for now. Your execution will improve with time, then you improve the combos as well.
Go for combos you can land in a match with minimal. Max damage combos are obviously optimal, but if you're filling up your entire mental stack with the goal of hitting one you'll get punked in neutral and get frustrated fast.
IS there any way to consistently get them high enough in the beginning? Seems like they're not launched high enough sometimes
Sorry for the late reply. It's just a matter of doing the second wind god fist fast. Gotta get used to when you recover from the first one.

Likely yes. The second wind god fist must be done earlier so you juggle them high enough for the follow-up to connect

As a new tekken player and as someone generally new to fighting games what should be thing that I should be focusing on learning? These long combos are beyond me for now I struggle with even the combo challenges right now.
Learning the basic mechanics of the game is the most helpful at first.
You can have a lot of fun with Reina by doing simple combos and just using your favorite moves in matches.
Eventually you will lose to something you dont understand how to deal with, and these questions are gonna lead to answers that improve your gameplay.

Basically new to taken. How do you get the electric on wind god fist I feel like I only get it off during heat. Is it a special input? Or what’s the Input?
It's the same input, but you must press the punch and the diagonal forward at the same time. Then it becomes an electric.
During heat, you don't need perfect input, but it uses some of your meter to turn it into an electric

Whats a good way to cancel heavens gate? it seems almost random when i get the ws3 to connect
You can just hold df while the Heaven's Wrath animation is playing out, and she's gonna crouch dash right after.
I'm doing the electric dash but I don't get the golden uppercut you get in heat mode. Is it normal? Is it considered an electric or just the regular version?
That would be just regular version.
For the electric, you must hit the df and 2 at the very same time, but Heat Mode makes it so you don't have to do that for the electric
@@justApplay for some reason my controller has input lag so I have to press 2 at the same time as down and then sometimes I get the electric, I never managed to do it at the same time as df. That makes double electric impossible.

1:32 what do the 3 periods mean after the df?
You hold diagonal forward for a bit, then release it after some time and press those buttons.
Couldn't find a better way to represent cancelling into crouch dash.

after df2 you can actually do df4 f2;3 skip sentai df1 f2;3 sentai 1+2 HW df 1;4 or 3;4 for 61 damage

For the combo at 3:30, instead of fd4, I used fd3 to get 77 dmg
This definitely makes for a quality watch, if you're intending to cover more characters too, a Devil Jin combo breakdown would be great, with how different his routes seem to be in this game.

Boa applay, muito hom o vídeo. So algumas observações, primeiro sobre o fc df4, as vezes ele costuma whiffar o ewgf em alguns cenários onde vc pune lows que vem girando no sentido horário, o corpo do boneco fica muito pra direita, o que faz dropar algumas vezes o follow up do ewgf depois do fc df4.
Outra coisa é depois do cd3 em Ch, da pra fazer um ws4, df2, df1, pra maximizar o dano do launch. Se nao me engano dá pra pegar com o ewgf em crouch, mas é bem difícil, entao nao recomendo.

@@justApplay testa sim, é uma boa rota. Sobre o FC df4, o que eu costumo fazer sempre pra não ter esse perigo, é sempre dar um "micro ssr", saca ? Daí sempre conecta o ewgf independente da posição do boneco.
Tips on hitting ewgf/wgf fast enough to combo?
Hmm, I got no really good tips for that, unfortunately. It's just a matter of knowing when you are out of the hit stun and can perform the next.
Try practicing by doing two in a row with the opponent blocking. Just in the neutral to get the timing down.

O segundo god fist tem que ser um pouquinho cedo, mesmo. Senão o f+2,3 não vai conectar.
Boa, vai tentando que já já você pega o jeito. Mas qualquer coisa, lembra da rota mais fácil com b+4

I feel that maybe Jun fits better for people that liked Kazumi.
Since I liked both Kazumi and Heihachi, Reina felt more comfortable to me.

Whenever I try the electric I get this 20 dmg version why is that?
You must be getting the non electric version (Wind God Fist)
for the electric, you have to press the df and 2 at the very same time.
Wind God Fist should still work for these combos, tho.
This is titled advanced combos, but ironically I find them quite beginner compared to other combo videos currently out! Kudos for focusing on consistency, and having the same general pattern for most combos. I'm tired of "staple combo videos" where they have a totally different combo route off of every launcher and counter hit. Very frustrating especially for a new character.
For some characters it can't be helped, but for Reina we got lucky we can follow almost the same pattern for every launcher.

Vai aos pouquinhos. Começa só com o df+1, jab e outras coisinhas... Pras stances, decora um low e um mid de cada uma delas, e quando estiver confortável, você adiciona mais coisa.
Eu também tô jogando com ela com bem pouquinha coisa, ainda, pra memorizar bem.

@@lizardking3268 I was new to the game at the time so I was a noob. But it's very optimal, you just have to keep playing the game and execution will become second nature. Are you new to tekken 8?

@@lizardking3268 yeah 180 hours is nothing in a game this advanced. Double electric is Reina's staple punish/combo starter so you should just keep practicing regular electrics. Reina is a mishima chracter so she's one of the hardest characters to play in terms of execution. I couldn't do double electric at the start but now it's easy for me. I use ps4 pad which is probably the easiest controller for tekken 8 so that's prob why I learned quickly and got to blue with reina in like 2 months.

You must hit the df and 2 at the same time.
Just a matter of practice, but it usually takes some months to few very consistent. Don't give up.

What about wall combos?
I should've added a few easy options, but I'll make up for it in a future video with more detail.
For now you can do df+1,1 > 1+2
or jab into d+4,1+2 stomp
