Yeah I almost had to close my eyes which I NEVER do. People don't think about it but being killed by a bear would be pretty damn horrific. It's not quick. Leo's character actually was lucky in a sense because the bear wasn't really trying to eat him, just defend her cubs. It's very difficult for me to really believe animal attacks in movies because even with good cgi, I can still tell its cgi. I could tell there was some cgi but they got the bear movements and behavior down perfectly, and Leo manages to sell it perfectly
Just saw the movie and all I can say is actions speak louder than words. DiCaprio showed me some A+ acting in this movie that I haven't seen in a long time. If he doesn't win best actor at the Oscars that will by far be the biggest robbery of all time without a doubt!

This movie is astonishing . Amazing nature landscape of mountains, lakes, rivers, snowfall and deep forest. The acting was on point with a amazing story line. It really makes you feel like you are in the cold winter wilderness and feel you are the character. It reminded me of "The Gray" with Neal. Must watch movie
