I flew on Air France’s new business class product on the Boeing 777 from Paris to New York, one of the more exciting product launches in the aviation world as of late.
This flight features some of the largest business class seats you’ll find anywhere in the sky at the bulkhead in Rows 1 or 9!

Point of the little trackpad : use the screen with your seat fully leaned back (your hand should't be able to touch the screen in this position), and secondly use the screen without leaving fingerprints on it (cleaner display for the flight)
Your "sweet bread" is called a "brioche" mon cher, and more specifically, it is a "brioche parisienne" (Parisian brioche), easily recognizable because it has a little ball on top, a "hat" (un chapeau). Voilà, you know everything about it now :) Bon appétit !

I'm traveling to Europe in August. Originally we were in the A-350 coming home, but it looks like that was changed to the updated 777 (based on seating charts). I'm very excited to try this new product

Hi Ricky - thanks for the video. I just booked business class on Air France and made sure to reserve a seat in row 1. Looking forward to my flight to Paris.
I would imagine the trackpad would come in handy when the seat is in the reclined/bed mode as the screen would no longer be in arm's reach.

Terrific video, and nice timing. Glad to see the new business class and compare it to SANSpotter's video yesterday showing the old business product from CDG to SFO. How much extra cost are the extra space seats? Probably be my preference as I am tall with large feet. Regarding the meals, odd that both had the strawberries with white chocolate.

Is the screen on the business class 120Hz or higher? it feels like a 60Hz. It'd be better if it was higher for more smoother feel.
For my trip to Japan, a month ago, I booked on the Air France website in my personal space, 3 round-trip tickets 5 months before.
Wanting to offer better seats to my family, I go on my reservation a few minutes after purchase and decide to buy seat options with more room for the round trip for more than 350 euros.
On the morning of check-in, I discovered that the 3 seats I had reserved for the one-way trip were not available (ditto for the return trip). I call customer service and I am told that my seat reservation, paid 5 months ago,
is not associated with my tickets, and that I paid for seats on a reservation without tickets. I only had one file on my account.
So I found myself unable to fly comfortably and make my family happy. I had to wait 37 days to get my money back, and I have no compensation, no alternative, no excuse.
Of course, there was no specific place available anymore and I was almost told that it was my fault not to have noticed that the file references are not the same.
How can I know by going back to my customer area and going on my reservation and paying that the seats are not linked.
In addition, the customer service tells me that my seat reservation is no longer valid, but they did charge me for non-existent seats.
For AirFrance the customer is indeed the king... but the king of idiots....

Checking the one I’m flying in Sept from Yul to Cdg in b777-300, the seat map looks confusing, it’s 2-2-2 config, with no middle seats in the last row (4th).. but it also doesn’t look like 2-3-2 config I found from seatguru.. 🤔any idea?

Air France’s objective is to have all of their business class in their Boeing 777-300 with this new business class by the end of the year. For now it’s operating on JFK, GIG (Rio de Janeiro), PVG (Beijing), Tokyo (both NRT and HND) and DSS (Dakar) from CDG airport

Did Air France ever post which routes have the new product? Flying from CDG to IAD this summer but can't tell if it is in the new cabin
Check the seat map - you want the one with a main cabin and a mini-cabin starting with Row 1 and 9 respectively
what flight number is this?
I read that Air France business class DO NOT have individual air conditioning ducts and the business cabins are "warm." Warm...is not a word I want to hear in regards to flying, especially six to eight hours worth. Your opinion?
Also, when you decide to go from seated to lie-flat, I assume the process can be stopped at, say, 30 or 45 degree angle, if flat not to your liking?
How come you didn’t select row 9? Was it free 72 hours prior to take off? Or do you have to pay a fee once it’s 72 hours or less?
I actually didn't realize there was a big seat in Row 9 until I boarded 🤣

Better than Air Canada's Business Class where they don't have a divider, the tray is above the legs so you can't lie on your side when lying down and looks like better food.
I wonder what my chances are when I take this flight from JFK to Paris and back in September. Only 12 planes are being renovated by the end of 2023, and they have just over 40 of them. It seems the odds are against me getting this and I will get the old business class instead. Oh well.
if that was served in Biz class... I feel sorry for the peasants (inc me) in Economy class 😂

Nice job on blurring out people in business class. I see some youtubers who don't do that. As someone who always flies business or first for comfort and privacy I really appreciate that.

Very nice review. Hopefully I will be able to fly with them soon. Every time in the past when I booked with them, the route was switched through their codeshare partner, KLM which is also not bad…
Great review but I think the seat offering looks quite stark and bland - compared to other competition. It lacks a ‘warm’ feeling you normally expect. For now I will stick to Emirates’ latest offering.

The meals provided are very disappointing to me, it's so cheap of them not to serve a decent lunch on an 8-hour, daytime, business class meal. And no crepe anymore? That's crap!
Right just serve a proper lunch. I’ve never seen an airline international business class daytime flight serve ‘brunch’ because it’s 10 or 11 am. By the time the plane takeoff and meals are being served it’s close to afternoon or exactly noon. But the French will be French.
Very very stingy to not provide at least a French version of a Full English breakfast. For a business class, there was no meat choice serve other than the salmon. Very disappointingly sad.
Didn’t they nuke that breakfast in the microwave ? Looked weird.
Absolutely ridiculous food service on a transatlantic morning flight...even more ridiculous as most C passengers would have had beakfast in the lounge..pure cost saving! Despite the beautiful cabin: i wouldnt book an airline with such a poor service
Meal presentation is a bit disappointing
I never understood the thrill of traveling in business class. The whole point of traveling is to have the experience of travelling with other passengers, and you can see and hear other human beings. This feels like being in a box, totally isolated. Might as well stay in your room. I can understand this as a preference for "business" travellers though, since they travel all the time. Otherwise a waste of points.
The point of traveling is to visit other cities/countries not to experience passengers 🤣
For me, it's simple. Business class is more comfortable for long haul flights. I like a lie flat seat and space to stretch out.
ok man I love you so much but I can't tell since I'm not on the plane I love your vibes but is you're voice as loud in the in person on the plane because if I paid a lot of money in business I wouldn't want someone infant ion me talking like that also just an opinion so I understand the other argument lol again love you just curious
I try to speak very close to the microphone so that the audio is clear. Usually passengers sitting in other seats might hear a little bit of what's going on, but there's also lots of airplane noise that blocks it out. Plus, I try to only say a few words here and there for the videos so that I bother other passengers as little as possible :)

The food is absolutely horrible- no clue why you praised it so highly!? It’s just pastry after pastry- no other food??? I would vomit just looking at that cold snack - come on Air France - you represent France n people like me have high expectations- you should learn from Singapore Airlines. Overall I give it 50 out of 100.
