    Your videos helped me personally to choose tiles for Flooring. Can you please suggest best tile adhesive for laying floor tiles on existing cement flooring.
    Is it better to use spacers or to go with paper joint laying for commercial purpose (lodge). Appreciate your help. Thanks sir

      1. @Best Adhesives
      You may use any of the reputed brands. But remember, the choice adhesive depends on type of tile chosen and application (wall / floor) and environment (moisture, temperature). Ardex Endura, Letecrete, Weber, Roff , Mapei, etc are established brands and they have different variants to suite the tile and other parameters related to application. Then there are whole bunch of others...some as cheap as half of the reputed brands... difficult to comment as I dont have any personal experience with those.
      2. @space between the tiles
      It is always advised and technical requirement. The gaps then, are to be filled by appropriate tile grout. You may please tune it to an earlier podcast - "Say No to Epoxy Grout". Although you can use Epoxy Tile Grouts if there is excessive moisture and interiors have controlled temperatures. Pl listen to the mentioned podcast, you will know it all.
      We are pleased to know that podcasts were helpful to you.
      Thank you.

    Sir can you please suggest best tile adhesive that you would choose for your self?

      Well, I think I replied to the related question about brands. But as you asked my case...
      See I required TILE ADHESIVES only twice for my personal use in last 20 years. First time, some 20 years back, I used BAL
      and recently I used ARDEX ENDURA.
      Both are same as BAL was taken over by ARDEX of Germany and so the name changed.
      Why I bought first time?
      - I knew British Adhesive (BAL) is a quality maker. I also met their technical head and director formally as well as informally as we had some connection. The team had extended good support too.
      2. Why I bought 2nd time after more than a decade?
      - Because my experience and results both are good and I know that they are one of the best.
      So- as I explained earlier, I believe that all reputed brands make good product. Excellent results need right selection of products as they have multiple variants of tile adhesives, skills and good workmanship. Thank you.

      2.There are many variants in Ardex Endura Tiles adhesive like Silver Gold Diamond which should i consider for 2*4 vitrified tiles wall and 2*2 floor
      3.Sir whether 3mm spacer will be good for both floor and wall in bathroom
      4. Sir please suggest best brand in SBR latex for multipurpose your expert opinion required I would be very grateful to you if you can help 🙏🙏🙏

    Which size , quality, durability of tile good for flooring in home for longer time ( such as full-body tile , double charge tile , proceiline tile or other good one, please tell Which one is better for home .)

    • @onthefloorwithdv
      @onthefloorwithdv  3 месяца назад

      Generally, residential flooring is not very challenging and all the varieties you mentioned, are known to last long provided - tiles are installed appropriately.
      Still, in some usage environments, polished GVT gets scratches more easily than its polished counter part - Double charge porcelain tiles.
      We suggest you to tune in couple of podcast in tiles and tiling related playlist; especially - types of tiles (classification), and how to choose tiles for Livingroom, Kithen and Bathroom podcasts.
      Thank you.

    is 70-85 glaziness good for a tiles? or what is minimum score you recommend for glossy tiles?

    • @onthefloorwithdv
      @onthefloorwithdv  Месяц назад +1

      As a user (customer) of tile, does it really matter? Gloss is to check degree of polish by measuring reflection...
      Depending upon the design and desire (of manufacturer) 80+ gloss is good enough for most designs. Nan0-coating on polished tiles further enhances the gloss.
      Remember, if you are looking for high gloss in Polished Glazed tiles, it would be a very poor choice for floor application.
      Thank you.

    Sir नमस्कार, residencial house में flooring के लिए कौनसी tiles सही रहेगी, माध्यम बजट में

    • @onthefloorwithdv
      @onthefloorwithdv  2 месяца назад

      In Rs. 50 - 80 per square. Ft. you can get a good DOUBLE charge tile as well as GVT in 60x60 cm, 60x120cm and even 80x160 cm sizes.
      We don't advice high gloss GVT tiles for floor in spaces where high foot fall , dust, and sand is expected.
      Thank you for engaging with us.
