Eli Jacobson (rhymes with Jelly...short for Eleazar) can sound like the sweetest angel or most bada$$ rock god possible. Truly wonderful person/Dad/Husband/Friend
Omar always adds that special something. He and Caesar have a similar range and their harmonies slap. Eli is an alien and of course so is Geoff. Layne has a whole orchestra in his mouth. You are going to love this one Dave. Hope you have soundproofing installed
I love this cover. I have tried to play Warframe, but Skyrim is more my speed. Layne is a beatboxing beast in this cover. I think calling it a space shanty fits perfectly...lol. This cover is absolute fire. Great reaction!
Great reaction, Dave-I had to laugh at the your expressions kept changing. This is one of those songs where there’s so much going on that you just can’t keep up. I listened to it all day yesterday and I’m still playing catch up. I love love love this cover.
I think that VoicePlay just took us to another galaxy. This was incredible. Omar fits in with Geoff and the guys perfectly. The harmony between them was ridiculous. I think that Geoff's sub-basement notes can actually break rock. The Dragonslayer, Lord Geoff, strikes again.
"...Far, Far Away..."? That one little tonal bit of beatboxing Layne did kind of sounded like a variation on R2D2. I wonder if that was just in my mind or he actually meant it? Another reactor commented on a different part where Layne sounded like a laser to him. Let's face it - Layne was on fire for this. A total funky vibe! And I love the blank white ending - as if they dreamed singing communally while in cryogenic sleep. Love your comment about them 'blasting off'!
Your reaction to this is a blast! When you seemed to be almost overstimulated by Geoff’s opening solo, and then when you got torn between focusing on the low note and Layne’s out-of-this-world robotic noises! I felt like you pulled those feelings right out of my head. But you expressed them better and with more wit than I ever could! Thanks for reacting to this!
Fantastic reaction as always, Dave! Fun fact, while the outro for VP videos usually plays the full karaoke version of the song, this one has just the percussion track. It's pretty cool. 😁
I thoroughly enjoy watching your reactions, especially when Geoff slays the dragon with that bass! I've never heard of this song before, but it's definitely a favorite now! Thanks for the reaction!
Awesome song from Voiceplay however, i have to put a damper on the video as we have some bad news from Home Free, well bad and good, the bad part is Austin Brown is leaving Home Free, the good part is he is doing this so he and Amberly can start a family, so wish them all the best and all that.
I’m still listening to this one at least once a day. Great reaction, Dave! I think Layne tossed in that one bit right after Geoff’s low just to throw your head out of gear. It was for you, Dave. LOL.
Dave..each time i see you react I remember what pure joy and love for music looks like. Its so refreshing! Aways love VoicePlay. My absolutely favorite group.
If I tried to make those sounds that Layne made, my tongue would fall off. Also, Alina Gingertail did a cover of Sleeping in the Cold Below a few years ago. Check it out. I guarantee that you'll love it. It's just as catchy.
They're all wearing contacts for the "other worldly" look: Cesar is wearing a white lens in his right eye, with Omar wearing it in his left. They also share a pair of blue lenses. Eli is wearing bright green/turquoise, Layne is wearing purple, and Geoff is wearing gold. Geoff had a devil of a time with continuity errors,, doing some reshooting, but several are visible in the video, starting with one only about 10 seconds in -- see if you can find them all.
I’ve looked at 5-15 seconds in a few times and can’t find it! Hint please: background or the guys? P.S. Love how they did this so much, just am an information junky.
@@bethjeans3780 Keep an "eye" on Cesar at timestamp 0:10 of the original video - then start watching carefully for Layne to be missing his gloves -- it happens several times
@@MiladyMacabre I thought it might be the gloves and had the vague impression other gloves were on and off too. Thanks! Some of the synchronization of the background with the singing has blown me away. And many other details.
@@MiladyMacabre yes, I was aware, but it took me many many times to more specifically focus on the background and how it related to the music, and even then I’ve only done it in bits and pieces. Though the first time through there was one shot - at 2:11/12 I think - that I thought should be a poster. It took me back to the days of record albums, some that had poster inserts.
I thoroughly enjoyed the video and of course your reaction . But what really caught my eye wasn't the costumes or the helmets it was happening on the screens behind them and Below them. It's not a green screen. They are LED lights and Eli does his magic with them
Any chance i can suggest the original as a point of reference. Also as an aside I believe Colm Mc Guinness did a cover of thia song of you haven't covered it already. Lastly adding we all lift together and for narmer (in that order) smiles from juran and this is who you are all good things to react to for original warframe content imo.
That bald guy had no business being that angelic

Eli is incredible. He can be angelic or he can let that rock/metal rasp become absolutely devilish. His range is incredible.
His name is Eli😊

I love the thruster analogy, so true 😂 Eli definitely deserved that classic Dave stank face 😅 They ordered “Japanese street wear” for the costumes.
I don't know if Dave is going to be able to keep quiet for this one. He might wake the kids today!
I love this cover. I have tried to play Warframe, but Skyrim is more my speed. Layne is a beatboxing beast in this cover. I think calling it a space shanty fits perfectly...lol. This cover is absolute fire. Great reaction!
i have thousands of hours from warframe wayy in the past i was very excited to see this cover now if they do " we all lift together"
@@KaivalaJenva all of them

Lovely reaction as always! Geoff just ordered the costume pieces online btw.
They killed this!!!!

I saw the R2D2 comment as well, and I think it's funny because Layne does actually do a full R2D2 sound impression in their ACA Top 10 Movie Themes.
@@katthor7311 You're right! I forgot that one!
💯 R2D2 was what I thought of as well.
Yo bro- your reaction was amazing! I was vibin right with you on all of it!
It's a Space Shanty... Thank you @Huldra Draco for coming up with that brilliant word combination.

Space Pirates and Bards!!! Fabulous 😄🌹🕊
I've never heard this before but as soon as I did, I have been waiting for your reaction to Laynes beatboxing and you never disappoint
You never disappoint...ever.
Geoff went sub-zero on that! Dude just kicked it down to the cold below!
This was a fun one. Haven't played this game, might have to look into it. Thanks for the reaction!!
Has the vibe for a sea shanty or space shanty.

As usual, a great reaction! This is a fabulous workout song. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

You never disappoint. Another great reaction!!!
I always love your reactions, I can't wait til you can finally react the way you want to without having to worry about waking up the fam
This cover is absolutely amazing. Been stuck in my head for days!
I tend to use music and capella covers during my dungeon and dragon campaigns and I used this one for a ship sailing segment and everyone loved it
What it do dave? Always fun to watch your reaction. VP does it once again. Your face makes me smile. Like you ate sour lemons. Keep going lol
My favourite bit is those sweet notes Layne produces. Beautiful!

They are in orlando Florida

Cathy found the masks by searching for Japanese Streetwear. ❤
That’s hilarious! 😂😂😂
You mean there's a bunch of Japanese that go around all the time looking like this....Good God!! 🤣
If you think this is good Dave, you gotta hear the original. The Shanty feel to it is what made this song great
I actually like this much more than the original.
❤
You really should start playing warframe again it's gotten really good
How long has it been since you last played and do you think you'll ever play Warframe again?
I don’t have the time. But I think about 2 years since I’ve played
You've been having your volume too low on the video.
Sounds good on my tv, my headphones and my phone just now. 🤔
Sounds good/great here!
