@velocityofcl, have I recommended to you that you check out The Hillywood Show's LOTR and Hobbit parodies? If not, you really, really, REALLY should! If you'd react to them, that would be awesome, but if nothing else I really think you'd enjoy them on your own (and please let me know what you think). You'll love them, they'll make you laugh and make you wonder how they make such great videos on a fan-funded budget. I'll also mention that Sean Astin himself tweeted how much he liked the LOTR one. Yep, Samwise Gamgee himself! Hope to see you watching them, or hope to hear about you watching them!

man that song is quite diffrent from the original song that is in warframe :D the warframe song is waaaay slower almost unrecognizable to the original but way more fitting for warframe in my opinion you should listne to the original to see the diffrence :D there is even a behind the scenes versin from warframe itself.
Sleeping In The Cold Below is a song featured in the quest "Call of the Tempestarii". It is sung by Vala Glarios as she dreamt of her deceased crew singing with her.
The song also has an instrumental sea shanty-style arrangement, named "Sevagoth's Lullaby" cuz it is the quest to obtaining the "Sevagoth-warframe"

I had never heard this song before, but I can't stop singing it my head now. I loved your reaction to it. Seeing that I thought you might also enjoy their Portal song Still Alive from 2016. If you watch it, just be sure you pay some attention to the second (Chef) Geoff. Hilarious. And hope the voice recovers quickly.

I think it'd be a lot of fun for VoicePlay to do a cover of Raphael's Final Act from Baldur's Gate 3 :) :) between Raphael's propensity for the theatrical, and VoicePlay's well-earned reputation as the theater kids of a cappella... it'd be a match made in heaven

Yes! VoicePlay killed their cover of Halo and here is another one that is so full of vocal layers that so many folks miss. I have no knowledge of the original video game music, but I can guarantee that VoicePlay put their unique #VoicePlay spin on it.

They did. I cannot tell you exactly where it is in game, but I have listened to the original version on RUclips. It is sung by a lone female with a slower and for some reason more Celtic feel, although it does still have a bit of that 'shanty' feel to it.
As I understand it, in-game she is the lone survivor of her spaceship's explosion (?) and she goes a bit nuts with survivor's guilt, imagining her dead crewmates ("Sisters!") singing this with her in the void.
VoicePlay have sped it up a bit although it did have a good drum beat before, (more like a bodrum) it wasn't like this. And I can kind of imagine their higher notes as the fiddle music.
Geoff has said, in a recent conversation, that he first heard the song from Colm McGuiness, who does a much more Celtic version (drum and fiddle included) - closer to the original. So, I don't think they found it from playing the game.

@@hwyla4416 Yes, this has a much more "rock" feel than the original, which is slow enough that it is almost melancholy - which would seem to fit with the situation in-game better, from what I've been able to make out, but VoicePlay has turned this into such an earworm, I really don't mind at all!

  • @katthor7311

I noticed you already starting to sing along there toward the end. Yeah....that's your life now, just fyi. I wake up in the morning and will immediately just be like.....sisters! below, below........but I'm also okay with it. 😆

Forget about "sleeping", even forget about "cold", just keep in mind the word of the day: BELOW. That's the secret (but I think Eli misunderstood the real meaning and went out of the galaxy when he sang it).

This had me entranced from the first time I heard it on Patreon. I went and looked for the original, the one I found is sung as a female solo with some spacey background. I like Voiceplay's much better. They are all amazing all the time, but Layne is the MVP here. I especially loved the Uh Oh section and the cheeky grin he gave us while he was doing it.
The music in the outro is, I think, just the beatboxing. He uses multiple tracks to get the exact feel needed.
Omar and Cesar were playing some game in between takes, I'm pretty sure Eli is a gamer. Obviously Geoff and Layne used to be with Halo, I don't know if they have time anymore.....

    • @hwyla4416
      @hwyla4416 10 месяцев назад

That 'Uh-Oh' moment kind of reminds me of a nod to R2D2, even though we have heard a more exact version of it from Layne before in the Top10 ACA Movies video. (at least if memory serves me well).
