This phone is AWESOME! I dont know what bellawesley was talking about, the battery life rocks. You just have to be SMART enough to fully charge it and then let it die again before plugging it in. I own a behold, and I'm a T-Mobile employee, take it from me, the behold is the best phone I've ever had. i reccommend it to anyone. Extremely user-friendly.
Wifi is important for users like me, who do use the device as a phone but mostly use it for internet browsing and being in a place with very low reception: 1 or 2 bars, close by wifi is very useful. just compare 1 bar of signal u can have some quick chats on but your not going to have too much fun waiting for everything to load. as for the 3g for t-mobile im doubting its speed if it depends on how many bars you have. if doesnt then i wont be missing wi-fi. just stating why i need wifi.
some phones switch between the two depending on the signal strength. but wifi is faster than your regular connection, but you have to be in a hot spot or if you have wifi in your house it works there.
Ths looks and 'feels' SO MUCH like the LG Viewty, which I have on T-Mobile. I'm actually considering getting this. Yeah, the Viewty is basically the same exactting and the G1 is little better but this phone just looks so good, also the widgets make it much easier to use. I got the Viewty a couple months ago and already it's slowing down. It takes way too long just to open my pictures folder, or even my sounds folder. Hopefully this doesn't slow down since that's my main problem with the Viewty.
damn right i took a picture in times sqaure yesterday and the picture came out beautiful ,i used it as a wallpaper and zoomed in to customize it and the picture just kept coming in clearer and clearer,for 150$ this is a good ass phone.....i'll get a G1 in a year when all the kinks are out but this phone is a must have

nope it only for the t-mobile network the unlock mean to unlock the touch screen buttons so like if you touch it while its locked it wont call untill ytou press the unlock button
unlike the g1, behold is not a smart phone. It still plays youtube videos, the internet works fine, etc. It has a better camera also. The thing is with the G1, it will be more expensive, not just the phone itself, the plan as well, because smart phones have a windows component, and it's not free. It's like 50 bucks a month, i don't know exactly, you'll have to look it up. I got the behold 3 days ago, and i find it amazing, it also has good reviews and is comfortable to hold and type. Now choose!
well you have to go to the menu, to sound profile, then to normal, and at the top change it from call to phone and change your keypad tone. Did that make since???
the behold's touch screen is very responsive, excellent. im a huge texter and i love texting on the behold. i tried texting with the g1 and the chin rest that sticks out at the end really gets in the way. its so annoying. you have to really bring your hand over to reach the keys. and the keys are too...flat.
I thought wifi just meant that you can have the internet in places that are hotspots which is great if you dont subscribe to the internet package. And I thought that wifi doesnt neccessarily mean you get a better reception. So does wifi mean you get a better reception vs surfing the web via your own web plan? Also, I have the $19.99 internet plan but if I go to like Starbucks will the phone automatically go into a type of "wifi" mode and override the regular internet? THANX!
Why is Wifi so important to have? Wouldnt it just be best if you get the internet plan so you can have internet at all times and not just when you go certain places for the wifi? Correction from my earlier comment: You DO get a message letting you know you have a new regular email message.
@beratalbania You have no clue how much better this phone is than ANY of the 3G on the market when it came out...it was the only phone with a 5mp camera which takes gorgeous pics and has all kinds of really cool things you can do with your pics...and you don't have to have internet to use your own IM and free car charger too...games are great, you can play the thing like a keyboard...in fact...Theresa from Real Housewives of NJ has this exact phone in Rose n Verizon picked it up after T-Mobile

it's smaller. the whole device is a little smaller actually. I like the behold better than the instinct because my friend has the instinct and it happens to lag a lot and the live video feature is terrible.
Yes. This phone doesnt have wifi. Plus most of the carriers are making you get a data plan even with phones with wifi. So no more free internet in hotspots with the wifi.
depends if you want a super hightech phone with a lot of apps then the g1 if you want just a better then average phone with not much features get the behold

T-Mobile has had touch phones before. There all in Europe though. I guess since the company is in Germany they do better things over there then in the US.

The phone is different for verizon....The Omnia is a Windows Mobile Smart Phone, while the other three are just feature phones.
