- This animation shows the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) migrating north and south throughout the seasons. The animation shows the general movement but it is not exact.
It can be used in a classroom as a video representation of this driver of climate types in the tropical latitudes--specifically the creation of the Tropical Wet, Tropical Wet/Dry and Tropical Monsoon climate types.
Hi. Good day! I like how you presented the shifting of the ITCZ position every month. May I asked if I can use this video for my trivia presentation about ITCZ? Rest assured that I will give proper credit at the end of my presentation.
I have no problem doing with you doing so. One of the reasons that I have made this channel is to help.
I have a question, Its a little bit complex. I made an imaginary world map and I am trying to determine what climate is characteristic to what region, and big problem that I am having is that i cant really tell where to put the maximums of ITZC (july and december). I understand that it shifts to higher latitude od land because of faster heating but it still seems too subjective. Do you have any suggestion and comments they would mean a lot. Thanks in advance
What do you mean?
The best expression really,,i have attended different video for more than 2hr,to grasp nothing .But with 10 min with your expr/n ❤
I’m so glad it helped
May I ask? , what is the difference impact when the blue ICTZ change to red?
Great question. I was simply using the color to show the difference between January and June and then June to December. I understand that that probably leads to some confusion or at least to wondering exactly what you did.
@@rueschhoffteaches I see, thank you. At very first I think the red one represent som kind like dry weather. It’s great video 👍🏻
Why this line moves up and down?
India monsoon
Exactly. The ITCZ is a major reason for the monsoon seasons in not only South Asia but Southeast and East Asia as well. Great that you made that connection!
