I hope Viltrox is listening! Electronic focus/zoom and stabilization are critical features to have. Without those features, there's no point to the mount for me. With them, it would be awesome to be able to leverage the entire Sony PZ lineup.
I previously sent this exact same note to my contact at Viltrox (and just pointed them to your video as well). The response I received is "no plan for now ... but will forward your suggestion to our engineers." They are paying attention to market response so if more people reach out to them to let them know these are critical features it may prod them along.
This mount makes the Zcam E2 cameras so much more versatile. I love the route that Zcam has gone for lens mounts with their cameras, I just wish Blackmagic could take some notes!
Not gonna lie the 6k open gate with sony emount is really tempting me even 2 years later...I wish Sony wasn't slacking so hard on the open gate implementation so that I could actually just use my sony's for open gate anamorphic recording...
They really gotta release a second version. I use it with a fotodiox e to ef adapter, and it is so wobbly I can't pull focus. I also use it with some other minolta md and canon fd adapters and there is so much play I can't pull focus. Also, the lack of stabilization is stupid. It's twice the price as the other zcam mounts and twice as worse. I really hope zcam comes out with their own mount
Is there a Nikon F mount adapter for zcam? I don't want to buy an e mount then put an F mount on, the vibration from the wind would make the lens useless
Hey Sandro :) You have a 0.7x ratio with the kipon adapter, the 45mm f2.8 becomes a 32 mm f1.9 but is it the same for the minimum focus? If you had 45cm for the minimum focus do you have 32cm with the kipon adapter? I have the feeling you have, especially with the shot at 6min46.Thank you for your answer :)
Hey mate, i want to buy the e mount adapter for my F6 and the Sony 18-105. So on the lens the zoom rocker works and also the focus ring? Aperture can be changed electronically. Is there any way if could tell me or make a video which shooting resolution and aspect ratios are covering the image circle of the lens? Looking to get this lens for documentary,i don't mind a small crop as for example 5K is cropped but not fully S35 crop. I would appreciate it if you could help. Any updates since this video? Thanks!!!
Hey Sandro, this question is totally unrelated to this video, but how is file management on the z-cam? For example, on my BMPCC4k I am unable to delete individual clips directly from camera without have to format the entire drive. Is it possible to playback clips in body and delete an individual video? Thanks. I am considering the zcam now that they allow for emount lenses.
I am having some trouble with this adapter. With my yamron 28-75 it will not let me adjust the aperture? Any idea on this? Same camera, lens and adapter as you

Damn, I thought I found the right Combo with the E2 S6 and the Tamron 17-70 with VC. But really no Stabilization with the Adapter??

Hi, how come you can have electronic focus for the Sony lens? Mine just have MF, where can I set the auto focus?
Autofocus is not supported for now. Viltrox needs to fix this in a firmware update

Hey mate, Yes it is possible to delete selected clips. When you are in playback press and hold the FN button:) or simply on the app

Did you tried to update the firmware? I updated mine before first using it and I am able to control the apature ✌🏼

My biggest problem is that Sony lenses tend to have pretty bad focus wheels. For example the Tamron is horrible
