Weiss is Snoww. The lightsworn lore and the dark world lore are intertwined. You can see a bunch of dark world cards that have Ryko in them for example.
Dark world : senior neighbor who just wants to chill but their neighbors dog annoy them very often
Snoww : the neighbors nurse is feed up with the dog now decided to work in in the lightsworm hausehold "I need to keep this annoying dog from entering the lords castle, let's work for the lightsworm so I can train this dog"
It's as simple as that.

Ryko gets lost in the Dark World. At first,he thinks Dark World monsters are bad, but they aren't. They help him get back home, and they bring some of their power to the Lightsworn to help them fight. Thats where the Twilightsworn come from. Weiss is Snoww that joined the Lightsworn.

no, the point is that the DW ARE bad, twilightsworn are the lightsworns corrupted by the Dark World.
Snoww feels bad about corrupting them, so she turns against the dark world and saves the Lightsworns.

in the version with Tear, I would put in extra Visas Amritara, to be able to add Perlereino, and eventually use it to make zombie vampire

I mean regardless if it really breaks into the meta, I think those cards are clearly good enough to have fun at locas/smaller tournement settings and I believe ALOT of people will appreciate turning some old favourites back into action.

This is the kind of content I always hoped to get from a Jesse Channel. The hype from an upcoming set/archetype that he can see
Enjoy seeing the thinking behind working the combos in front of us, as we test new things. A lot of things can be gained during watching the learning/testing phase like this, we definitely see the potential behind the cards.
Love to see some actual duels with both the decks. Only downside with this deck is Droll locks it out of adding. Nibiru can wipe out field easily unless you have Barronne out.
Both Runicks and Tear doesn't really care about Nibiru, they can play on both turns

Enlightenment Dragon seems incredibly nice as an additional boss for the deck. Has a few effects to burn through and recycles. Plus artwork is beautiful.
We need a Lightsworn Eagle or Falcon card that not target bounces to hand…
Lightsworn Fiendsmith works really well because of Weiss. Caesar will be amazing and The Fiendsmith is a good mill.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet or not but another card that could be considered is Bujintei Kagutsuchi. Can be made using 2 Level 4 Beast-Warriors (Felis and Wulf). It mills 5 on summon rather than being an activated effect and mills 2 more cards but you do sacrifice on the potential draws that it can bring. Just a suggestion.
I would like to add as an avid LS player. That the twighlightsworn shaman becomes incredibly more useable now. Before you had to play cards to actually turn her effect live but now the synchro does it. On top of that two lumina shamans and one summoner is a loop that gets you 4 bodies and 6 cards milled with one card from hand. To anyone who reads this I have now exposed something I’ve kept for years haha. Also does exactly what he mentioned where it allows you more level options while only committing at max 5 slots and as low as 3 slots (2 shaman 1 summoner) the new diabell cards have a very odd amount of synergy as well
I would side deck a copy of the trap as an out to Dark Ruler No More and Droplet.
I think it could be cool to take a look at other older themes that get new support in LEDE that have potential in that format! Stuff like Melodious. Maybe Ancient Gear, but I don't imagine a deck that has no real plays going first will do a whole lot

While I agree that enlightenment dragon isn’t the best, I’ve found through testing (especially in tear builds) punishment dragon is crazy. Not only is it a interruption for decks that needs cards in grave (example: flamberge’s grave effect) it also puts back all your cards in the grave or banishment which rly helps in the grind game.
Not only that, but my brother and I have found that the threat of Enlightenment is sorta better than actually firing it because it forces the opponent into playing around it. For example, without Lost active a Branded deck is forced into going for Lubellion because Albion is too easily shut down by it, which more or less guarantees that you get one more turn.

Maxx C wasn't the issue with lightsworn not taking off in the ocg. Its the fact that though they have a few more guaranteed plays with the new support, they're still too Rng. Solid rogue deck is its ceiling, especially if they dont bring back Curious.
Not to mention chaos ruler, agido and Kelbek got banned on the October ban list, as well a tear Kash limit
Many people forget that this was tear before tear. This is one of my favorite decks of all time and god it always feels so good to hit wulf and suet watch it roll.
I can't believe I never thought about combining LS with Runick with my testing. That said I'm a big fan of the tear version of the deck running with some Shaddolls for Winda access. Also Weiss can not summon herself from grave
Seems like the lights worn tear version has a lot more options in master duel, especially if you make can make a grass version. Maybe lightsworn tear snake-eyes or some abomination like that lol
Videos like this are great. Magic and comander has so many videos that are just deck techs where they talk about a deck and the options and how you could play it. The only thing i can think of that may add to a video like this or even be an additional video after is some gameplay with the decks you showcase.

I just wish the end board wasn't generic extra deck cards & instead archetypal boss monsters to continue the theme. I get why the end board is what it is, just wish they would make similar cards to the generic ones but for the archetype.
Dragon + name in GY:
-Summon Dragon, send Felis, Felis summon
-Synchro for Minerva, send Weiss + Felis, summon 2 monsters
-Synchro for Armitara, add any Tear Spell/Trap
-Minerva effect, banish 4, mill 4
Here you can overlay for Zombie Vampire to mill 4 more, or you can keep Armitara as a tuner 8 to make Baronne later with Merrli. You can also turn Minerva into Crimson Dragon and Dis Pater if you happen to have another level 4 tuner on the board. This is so good!
How do U make dispater with Minerva ?
@@EsdeathYGO you did with crimson dragon, as Armitara is a 8 tuner and Minerva a 8 non-tuner, so you got the chance by having a 4 tuner
on-tuner on the board. Guess doesn't matter anymore as Baronne was banned. XD
Lumina and Raiden were always my favorite combo to make a level 7 synchro
If you use two lightsworns you can use new menerva to send two, summon two make visas astroud because they're both light and add a testaments spell, then mill 4, then make either the zombie vampire to mill 4 more or photon lord for protection. All of of two lightsworns one of them being a tuner
This core is nuts for a lot of strats like sworn/zombies sworn/bystials sworn/rollback.. etc but the hardest part is actually being good enough to see lines with the mills you get lol it’s super cool when it works though
The level 8 Visas synchro only requires a light monster(doesn't even have to be a non-tuner iirc) searches any Tearl spell or trap, including Pearlereino.
So you can use felis & Weiss even tho they both tuners.

So I've been messing around with TearSworn and the ratios.....this build is fun af and so much more consistent. My best endboard so far was Perlereino, Scream, Sulliek, Kaleido, Dracostopelia, SP, Abyss Dweller and 3 negate Appo.
I’ve been testing lightsworn with tear and bystials. You’re able to sync for 10 like baronne or sync 12 (lubellion & 4 star tuner) to make crimson that goes to crystal wing
Maybe the trivikarma is a good addition to the Tear version. It can activate even if its sent by cost

with harp at 3, you could play this new lightsworn engine in Orcust, since they don't care how they hit the grave, as long as they hit the grave
I can't wait to see how the TCG uses the Lightsworn cards because here in the OCG the only brews I see are FTKs

Tearlaments Synchro Lightsworn is actually really playable. The new Synchro Miverva is a +1 Agido and half a body of a Zombie Vamp, also really tagable with Shadolls. The only downside is not enough room for the non-engine cars tho.
Lightsworn is my all time favorite archtype and this support is perfect. The deck has been perfectly adapted to the modern game, keeping all the same flaws as it had in the past. Hating the side deck, not having room for non engine, maxx c, etc. While it does some of the same good stuff as before, some combo potential and the possibility of summoning big dragons. I don't care how strong it is, I love it
I am happy that this deck isnt the best in this current format because I wanted this to be a budget option from the new set with all those eyes on tempai and Yubel
I really want to try a Lightsworndeck utilizing Transaction Rollback with. I think there is a lot of power in LS, but to me it sounds fun trying to break boards with it :)

I know it’s random test hands but when you have 4 bodies (after summing punishment) would it have been better to go for a 4 mat appo, then using the Horus cards to make the zombie vamp?
Now we can get good ole lightsworn thunder dragon with colossus
if we can get rid of a certain Spellcaster, then the deck will shine
This might become one of my favorite decks to play at least not necesserily to play against.
Would you consider including more tear cards like 3 sulliek, trivikarma, 2-3 scream, 3 tear kash, metanoise,... so that we have better mills and get to our tear engine more reliably? maybe amritara to add perlereino and some sort of 1 visas samsara/starfrost might be great to go cross-sheep, astraloud, revive a reinoheart.

I've been trying make ls work for long time with these cards but I always fail but I feel it's the ed knowledge is the issue for me

The problem with this deck is it’s hard to be consistent but it can be extremely powerful
I'm definitely messing around with a full bystial engine and some resonators (vision and crimson gaia) with both scarred and og RDA for free rank 8 plays and access to hieratic seals

New Tearlament support looks weird ngl. I thought they were supposed to be mermaids.
I'm tempted to try to mix the new lightsworns with the new infernoids but I think a lot of the infernoid stuff locks you.
Was so happy about lightsworn until I saw the horus. Just don't have the cash for em. Looks very fun though
I know this video is a little bit old, but I wanted to maked a Chaos deck (you know, black luster soldier and chaos emeperor) and i figured out thst lighsworn beeing a really good mill could combo well, but i still haven't found a way to do it well.
Any advice?
The deck that need more love is Gladiator beast and nordics.

I use Bujintei tsukuyomi and the other rank 4 Bujintei that mills 5 on xyz summon. I usually end on the photon rank 8, utopic Draco future and the visas synchro with the reframing counter trap to negate dark ruler no more etc.

I agree with everything you just said. If not now at some point. The engine is a lot more realistic to utilize now. Glad to see you made a video involving footage of showing what it can do. Yeah the engine is kind of cracked. I think tear is probably going get the most immediate play out of it but there is potential for the engine to see play now and later. I also started with BW and this deck as well lol. I knew then I was innovative I loved BW but when I built LS I was like nah bruh this deck is waaaayyyy better. 😂. I would like to see this engine see some for real play.
If not be added to it. I think it may need a few more good options and printings. But even right now being able to make appo and dweller going first against snake eyes should be winning no one plays talent like that. If so you can always set up toad with. Just in testing that turn one board would be difficult to win against. However, online can be tricky I was drawing cracked just like you were. We don't know mathematically if we will open wulf plus a play every time and that is where I see a possible issue

do you think lightsworn might have some overlap with the white woods? not sure if the lightsworn effects to mill would trigger the white wood spells and traps to reset, but it could be interesting if they do
The white woods spells/traps specifically mention that must be sent to activate a monster's effect. I think there is only one lightsworn monster in the main deck that mills for cost, and it is not good.

I love the content, and please don’t get me wrong since I understand this is the current state of the game, but it’s just sad that the main strategy is just a new path to end on the same goal, generic boss monsters. It just rips the identity of any deck.
