The game and especially art ages so well, that IMHO the "reforged" WC3 is going to harm it instead of doing it any good. They should have facelifted this version of the game even more and then release new stuff to it.
Streamers probably make more money than pro players. The prize pools are pretty small because WC3 isn't that popular. Moon, the most successful WC3 player ever, only has about $500k in career prize money in about 15 years. That's probably why some former elite players like Grubby (who can obviously get back to the pro level if he wants) makes his living off WC3 as a streamer rather than a "pro". The thing that sucks is there really isn't much incentive for Happy to continue doing international tournaments. He proved he can beat the best of the best and he'll almost certainly get more viewers on his stream after this. Maybe Reforged will bring bigger tournaments with more prized money.

I was an Orc player, but clearly UD race has the most charm and magic, nothing can replace coilnova. I was so tired of seeing NE non stop, now I am proud that Undead got them all beaten. Make Undead great again !
Uhm... This is only because of balance changes that made the game fair again. Undead should have won most tournaments in history. Also, I wish the players learned to have a personality after 18 years. Shit...

It happened to all the other great players at some point, to lose in the bracket phase and then winning the tournament, and nobody has questioned them. The single elimination round is what matters the most, and the players know this. It is not unfair. They know what they can afford to lose and when, and when they can't. Their mindset is set on this.

He can buy rod of necromancy in the mid phase of the game just for scouting purposes, or to use a destroyer, or alcolyte, ghoul.... but whatever he decides for it is still better than going across the map 2 times looking for opponent or to get creep-jacked or to miss expos.
UN vs NE is so beatiful ! Low repetitiveness, high variety of units, smart scouting, macro, expansions and epic micro from both sides ! LawLiet, Happy, Moon, 120 - all of them were amazing in this tournament ! And still, huge hopes for Blizzard to make even more strategies viable in Reforged !

I always wanted Happy on this big tournaments, because always knew he is one level above of EVERYONE. I became very sad when he got banned from major tournaments, but gladly got back to the big stages to show what I always knew. He is simple the best, by far. Happy has won a title, one title. A great achievement, no question about it, but Moon will always be the only fifth race. Even back in the old days Moon didn't win all the titles, but a legend he will always be.
Emotions were so much bigger than during football World Cup, I am dead serious, haven't seen anything like that before. I thought that after so many years this game has been already solved, but the skill level of Moon and of course Happy, was just absolutely beyond unreal.

I'm watching a WC3 1v1 tournament game for the first time in my life (watched a lot of SC2 GSL and still watching now) and seeing the last hitting being employed I just realised DotA is exactly WC3 but only controlling the hero. It's hilarious.
Old guard and new guard fighting. Really good to see Happy (UD) winning this (even though I wanted to see an Orc in the finals... when was the last time?!?). What will be interesting to see is if Happy can continue this momentum and win more tournaments. Really good stuff though and can't wait to see all the old pros and newcomers shaking up the scene. It brought me (and I know others) back into playing this game again. Still so amazing!

I love a NE Vs UN, but a Human Vs Orc will always be classic quintessential Warcraft game. Those two races are meant to fight each other.

This mach was insane!! Well played by both and very good final of the tournament! Moon last game micro was out of this world! This fight in the middle of the map... no words! All games were so close. So many hero risks by Happy saving them with tp or invu! In general this tournament was great. Superb games also by Chaemico, Th, Sok, Focus, 120...
agree , all great games , if I had to choose best game of the tournament I would definitely pick set 2 of Happy vs Focus on the lowerbracket ( the 30 min game on Concealed Hill )!

Happy has won a title, one title. A great achievement, no question about it, but Moon will always be the only fifth race. Even back in the old days Moon didn't win all the titles, but a legend he will always be.
Its sad that Night elfs are to weak as a race. Moon is so good, if NE was buffed, he would dominate.

Emotions were so much bigger than during football World Cup, I am dead serious, haven't seen anything like that before. I thought that after so many years this game has been already solved, but the skill level of Moon and of course Happy, was just absolutely beyond unreal.

I'm watching a WC3 1v1 tournament game for the first time in my life (watched a lot of SC2 GSL and still watching now) and seeing the last hitting being employed I just realised DotA is exactly WC3 but only controlling the hero. It's hilarious.

Old guard and new guard fighting. Really good to see Happy (UD) winning this (even though I wanted to see an Orc in the finals... when was the last time?!?). What will be interesting to see is if Happy can continue this momentum and win more tournaments. Really good stuff though and can't wait to see all the old pros and newcomers shaking up the scene. It brought me (and I know others) back into playing this game again. Still so amazing!
