In game 2 of this Best of 5 showmatch (we're 1-0), Deathnote does what I call a "rage tower rush" (lose first game, then towerrush without provocation or weakness on my side). Do you think he would have succeeded with going for the shop first? I actually do. Your micro is 2 levels above him. But I guess without the shop he would have been the one snowballing in your base.

Just when you think the tower rush is beaten, a group of militia or footmen come and reinforce and rebuild. This guy is a master at his craft, at least at tenacity.

I don't think hes trying to belittle his skill, I think he just meant that it helped him counter the tower rush against another very experienced, high level player.

If only deathnote killed the shop
Hordes are good at maintaining there base with spike whether in Kalimdor or Azeroth, Deathnote missed to carry some dust of revealing to sight BM counter and are microing to maintain the tower rush even when orc just defends on mount borrow, also human towers are not as far attack range on the orc. it's an all in all-out strat :P

Legendariest defence, i ever saw. Never before in Grubby's games, i didn't watch such long, hard, risk, defense game against, so good player and unyielding tower rusher. This is true gameplay art, pure executive rapture, the triumph of strategy and tactic. Perfect game Grubby.

I must admit that the situation looked so poor at the start that I was certain you had uploaded the wrong video. Just goes to show how this game and your skills can still surprice after hundreds of matches. Truly legendary indeed! If it wasn't 2019 I would have called this a possible inspiration for hero modes made for the game!

Wow, that was the longest and most fun tower rush I've ever seen! (tower rush til Blademaster got Bladestorm) At one point, it seemed like it was in an endless loop.
i remember i use to hate loosing to tower rushes, even you berly managed to survive this onslought of tower rush, with milita, and water elements and footmen, props 2u

This game made me feel things I never felt before.

Just started learning about warcraft 3 multiplayer and started watching your streams and warcraft in general, and although I don't know many of the mechanics this was epic to watch. I would have lost my calm and would have lost it, how you remained focused and calm and dodged that rush I don't know. Will keep watching your videos and learning. Maybe in some time I'll try to actually play online.

My brain would've melted trying to defend that...
The guy lost cause he didnt kill the shop and kept on tunneling the barracks. So Grubby bought like 20+ Heal and mana regen pots and that won him the game.
So you are saying that instead of repairing the barracks he would have to repair shop? lesson learned!
Why didn't deathnote focus the shop??
He probably thought it was more important to stop demolishers, and once they were out, destroying them and stopping production of them. The whole game felt like such a fine balance it doesnt seem killing the shop right off the bat would have automatically won it for him, and focusing the shop while the demos were out would also probably not have won it for him, but the shop obviously kept grubby in the game.

@@dippn7047 That makes sense. Too bad though, the shop has 500 hp and the rax has 1200! Same armor. If Deathnote did get the rax I think it would have been gg, though. I liked these show matches!!
