That's stupid way of locking the weight imagine having a heavy set and finishing the set and have to put all the pressure on one foot to press and lock the machine. I prefer the one with the handle on the side of the hand.
In my gym we have this same machine but that comes with an handle support which is near the hip and I have to pull the handle by hand to rest it I feel that machine is quite Safer than this
I used this exact machine for the first time today and initially felt sooo bloody dumb with my back facing away from the machine but I’m now confident that we all suffered this emotional damage! Excellent tutorial. One thing I would say is that I can’t seem to get very low, or don’t seem to have the confidence. Do you think simply because the weight is too high and/or foot position. I realistically only used to goblet squat so can’t accurately compare the depth with a much lower weight.
Plastic body had a small chip when ruclips.net/user/postUgkxUHHotQRjIQnfuxEeVotlkHVYWH0DXZoS I opened from box- would have sent back but it works well- using for warming up before exercising from full knee replacement- also use several times during day to keep movement easy. Sturdy, easy to use, easy to assemble (instructions didn’t match but easy to put together). Getting the same movement as the warm up bike at PT. Would suggest to order before surgery so you have it home ready to use when you can!!! Doesn’t take up a lot of space-not heavy so easy to move- not using for arms but I think it would work just as well
Bro i feel so dumb i wish i watched this sooner. I never used the machine before and thought there would just be a lever on the side to re-rack it. I started to panic when I realized that that wasn’t the case after my set. I had to weasel my way out from under cause I couldn’t figure out the foot lever thing. I didn’t want to spend more time trying to figure it out and risk attracting more attention so I just gtfo of there as nonchalant as I could. Not gonna lie I don’t want to show my face in there again lol. Needed to tell this to someone cause I’m for damn sure not sharing this with someone I know.
i hate the bar squat because it hurts my traps a fucking lot if I put a lot of weight, so this machine is literally perfect to me. I´m doing 130kg on it and i never did that on the squat bar.
The whole point of watching this video was to see if they mention why there's so much pressure on my knees when using this machine. Also why I can squat nowhere near the weight I can on a regular squat
Interesting, it’s the opposite for me. I find that I can squat way more than I can compared to a regular squat. When it comes to feeling noticeable pressure on the knees, I also experience the same and was hoping to find out if I was doing anything wrong while using the machine.
@@ts.817 make sure your are all wearing weightlifting shoes, socks, or are barefoot. Wearing running sneakers or basketball shoes or any other type of shoes with a lot of cushion will mess your knees up doing this.
I just joined a gym with one and I couldn't even fit in it lol. Im 6'1 350 weightlifter. Big but in good shape. Feel like if you're over 5'10 250 lbs it's not for you.
It’s not good at all to stretch your legs completely through with every sqaut. You should keep them slightly bent! It’s necessary to protect your knees and the kneecap!!
I can't squat with a regular barbell. Always end up with back/knee issues. More power to those who can. This machine is an excellent alternative.

:)
it works great, i've used it. go ahead bro use a very heavy weight and post a video for us :)
i used this Maschine yesterday just to watch how it works and Almost died lmao
It’s dumb asf

You sound like someone who would benefit from a couple months with a trainer.

Thanks! I needed this tutorial!
Estoy por comprar esa máquina y tenía mis dudas, gracias a la clara explicación, y gran funcionalidad la voy a comprar 👍
TY! Gym has this and I was intimidated in using it and now I know how to lock and unlock

I just had the same experience in my gym 😂 I hate that machine so bad
Yeah that locking mechanism doesn’t seem to be common sense lol. They should have better instructions on the machine
you're not alone lol, i was just luckier because a gym staff was nearby and i ask him how to rerack the machine
That's why I choose to squat without this machine 🥲
This just happened me right now
Does doing it backwards give the same results as doing it in the front position ?
No. Backwards give u glutes dominant, while front position working on ur quads more
Funny intro, what happened?
Forgot to edit.

Pro tip don't lock your knees/joints out as this will cause hyperextention and damage ligaments and tendons. Causing long term chronic pain.
He started out facing away from the back pad and I really thought I made myself look dumb using this machine yesterday. Then he turned around 😅
You did not explain the difference between the two exercise.
1st one is quad dominant. 2nd one is hip dominant
Does any one know the starting weight of this machine I can’t find it anywhere
Whyyy locking should at feet??? Until now I have been afraid to use this machine with heavy weight. But thanks for the tutorial! I'll try tomorrow.

Same with me. It fs my knees up
Your heel must be going up
I don’t use the first way because I get too much pressure on my knees try the 2nd way and I felt more of a leg connection

This machine is literally hell for anyone tall
I'm 6'1 350 big but in good shape and I couldn't use it. Maybe anyone 5'10 and under
I love this machine. Too bad my tiny crunch gym don’t have this machine
boyco😢t😢 crunch
Thank you so much i was god damn clueless before this
I'm using 160 kgs in this machine, nowadays
I suffered a back injury with the first exercise. A month without training 😢
Thank u that was important to me
What is the wight if dont use plates
It seems with most (not all) brands it is around 25 kg (55 lbs).
Thank you!!!
This shit hurts my back so much bro
Yeah bro I don’t know why
use a wider stance and low weight untill you gain mobility
BASICALLY THE FIRST ONE IS A HACK SQUAT,ISNT IT?
yea but a bit more upright i think
Yes, a vertical hack squat. So you have nearly all your upper body weight added to the exercise compared to the common hack squat machines.
Great job buddy!

wow you're tall.
Height is not a problem with this machine. But weight might be if you want to put your back against the pad.
Wait. Wait. What happened at the beginning? 😂
At starting the moment he says "this machine" double press forward, again ull hear this machine
But isn't that putting weight on my knees?

Why are u yelling tho, couldnt you speak quiter
Delicious video 👍
bad form
How boring
