I had the 2020 Range VLT and loved it. Looking at getting another one. I live and ride in Pemberton and just like in Chilliwack I need big travel because it's all grind and plummet here!
I hear ya. I haven't ridden Pemby in a few years but it has very similar terrain to Chilliwack. - Steep ups and steep downs! I had one of those Ranges as well- the 27.5 wheels and coil shock were just so awesome on that bike - it's really the bike that hooked me on the bigger is better vibe! I love the "grind & plummet" description....that sums it up perfect!
@@freshpukesh I've got my name on a new Sight VLT CX at Bike Co. in Pemby with the new Bosch Gen 5 motor when it comes out in the spring but I wish they had also updated the Range VLT with the new Bosch Gen 5. I kinda don't want a 160/150 bike again (coming off 3 years on a Trek Rail). I want to go back to big travel. When I shifted over to e-bikes in 2018 (after 30 years on acoustic MTBs) I had a Kenevo (180/170) which I loved but the Brose motor sucked so bad. I went through 3 motors in 2 years!! 😖 Have you been hearing any rattling on the descents in the motor on your Range?... I hate that Bosch rattle from my 2021 Trek Rail but maybe it's not an issue on the new Range?...
@@whistlerrealestate1 These new Bosch motors definitely don't have the rattle. The CX on this Range is the quietest motor I have ridden thus far (I have ridden Shimano and other Bosch motors) so I think you will be happy there. Seems like Bosch has fixed the rattle sound. On the other hand The new 2025 Sight CX is so awesome...I can't wait for that bike to be released. I've gotten a couple of rides on one of our pre production samples and I think it will be my next bike. Lighter by 10 lbs vs current Sight and just as powerful...The next gen CX is pretty impressive too and The high pivot suspension will make you feel like you have more bike than you actually do have so I would say if you are craving a Range, the Sight might "fix" what you are after for travel.
Cool! The rear suspension on this bike is really the stand out feature, It's my first time owning a high pivot bike and I find the suspension plush and playful at the same time. The grip is unreal for climbing and in the corners when descending and I find it still poppy and playful like my four bar bikes previously. To me it has been one of those things where I say "hmm something feels different here" when I'm climbing or descending and then I remember it high pivot and that the suspension feel is unreal. I think the vivid rear shock also adds to the awesome feel - This air shock is an evolved technology for rear suspension and I find it to be the "best" rear shock I have come across in many years.
Love that bike. Seriously thinking about picking one up!
You won't regret it...and now they are on sale so even less reasons to say no lol...
Looks like the perfect rig for Chilliwack!
So far it's been awesome for Chilliwack! More power and more travel seem to be Chillwack essentials!

Loving my Range VLT in the UK, what a bike 😉
Agree... It looks like a big beast but it is a very capable bike in all kinds of trails! So far no regrets making the switch!
Check out Community Forest.
I have ridden there once and found it to be awesome. It is a legit alternative to Vedder and I am planning to explore more of it for sure!
Thinking of picking one of these up. How’s the rear suspension? Would you say it’s more plush and ground huggy or firm and playful?
