I used to have the 2019 version ofthis bike. 180/170. shimano e800, that was so good going down. I felt like I could go over anything with zero problems. This 2024 might be very cool considering the 5 years evolution...
Another valuable review! This would have been my goto choice a few years ago, now more into the lighter enduro, which is where the market seems to be going now that we’re over range anxiety. 😊
My Scott Ransom eride 920 is getting kinda beat after 1000mi of gnar. Curious how this bike would compare? I love the Scott but looking for a new Bosch based bike that has a more modern controller etc. BTW I upgraded the fork to a factory 38 and it's butta!
guys just a couple things….how does it compare to the previous gen range with the following…ps. i own the previous gen btw. 1. the rear suspension changes to HP design 2. the rear wheel size back to 27.5 from 29 3. the bosch motor over a shimano sp8
Hey what’s up thanks for watching. In short, we like this one a lot more but to address your specific questions: 1 it’s a HP to it does do some of the weird HP things, lengthening rear end /wheelbase. Requires a bit more effort to get off ground over obstacles in a prehop move. 2. Improved cornering as it dips in a bit more easily. No real big negatives on roll over because of the suspension being so awesome. Perhaps does roll a bit slower. 3. Shimano isn’t a deal breaker for us by any means, but the Shimano does feel faster, holds a higher speed and is certainly rad drive unit. We like the integration into top tube as well. Hope that helps.
you guys are always going undersized. 460-470 reach is sizing for a 5'8-5'10..., in no way shape or form for a 6'2; nice decision going for a bike fit for one of the four testers.
@@TheLoamWolfi’m of the belief, including ebike riding mates that the traditional bike sizing isn’t the go to when choosing your size for an ebike…as you explained there are other factors to consider…the game has changed
@@H3avyHaul3rno it didn't; I'm a 5'8 and every ebike I tested in the M size was small; my L sized nuke giga is perfect; 460-470 reach is the way to go when you plan to ride down the hill. This bike would be an S3 for me...and so it should for anyone around 5'8-5'10.

Awesome work. You guys have surpassed Pinkbike in quality of reviews and cinematography. Keep it up!
Oh wow, thank you so much! We greatly appreciate the kind words.
I have to agree!!!
@@mikeburgh3956 Same!
Better than PB for sure. PB's presenters are insufferable to listen to. Loam Wolf crew is pro yet relatable and chill.
Thank you very much! We try our best.
Any emtb gearbox bikes in these tests? I know they are less prevalent right now but I think it’s the next logical step for emtb.
Not this year! BUT, we keep hoping to find some to get our way...
Nothing really available in the US yet

It's another step or ten up from the old bike in performance across the board.
Seems like the high pivot is taking some elements from the previous two versions of this bike and combining them

Thanks so much for checking it out. It’s going to be interesting to see how niches evolve!

Self shuttling DH bike? Yes please!
This is for sure that bike!
Do these have a knock block?
What a beast. Nice looking bike
It sure is! And rides like on too.
I love Norco bikes. They're always planted but if you put a 50 or 60 mm rise bar they turn into giant jump bikes
Heck yeah. haha. We've got a tall bar coming in we're excited to play with it.

It's a badass eBike for sure.
You could pull your seat back, it’s rammed right toward so would probably feel a little better
Not sure i tempted to get 1 over the 2023 yet.
Does it climb hard stuff better ?
Even with smaller rear wheel
Anyone riden both ? 😊
Great review!!
Glad you enjoyed it

@TheLoamWolf you mean Bosch feels faster?
What was the weight of the bike
Too much
Nice looking bike but at that size get it closer to 200mm F/R. And put a gearbox in it already!
I'm sick and tired of hearing about the mavens. My understanding is that the lever pull force is much higher than its competitors
They do feel somewhat "sticky", but their maximum power is undeniable and beneficial for a big burly eBike like this.
Thicc

Our reasoning for the size selection was addressed two times in this video.
Im 5'7 on a small 428 reach Nukeproof 🤷 fits me perfect!! And in this vid these bikes look just fine for them. Plus they explain it
