Yes., had one in my tool box and today I need to use it..Of course, no directions came with the tool.Thank you so much for showing us he correct way to use it and to determine if the bit is going in the right direction.....Again, many thanks and you get a thumbs up.
I just got this piece of equipment to remove screws and bolts in my car. I was looking for how to use it effectively. This video became the answer to me. Thank you.
Cracking video. Thanks so much. I've just purchased one of these to remove the rear drum retaining screws on my sons car. I feel much more confident now 👍
Great explanation! I just got a similar type of impact driver and letters for directions were R and L. I thought R is to tighten and L is to loosen. After watching this video everything became clear that it is the opposite!
These are a must have if you work on older motorcycles or anything that had JIS screws. I still have the one I bought back in the 70's at a motorcycle shop. They came with the JIS bits you needed. No more stripped screw heads.
Perfect how to! Thank you so much! Had a bad bad screw that would not budge. I talked myself in circles in my head, over-thinking. Thought i was using the tool wrong, but your way of explaining verified I was doing it right. Screw broke the tool.
I feel like an idiot lol had an impact screwdriver laying around the garage for a couple of years now, thought it was a stupid design with the spring like tension. Never noticed in turning while going down lol always felt like damn this would a lot nicer if it was just a solid non moving piece but also didn't see the point of that either so this calrifires a lot thanks!
never really needed one but now since I got one, going to take an hour long video to show all how 15 seconds gets the job done. excellent job many ways to show. simple to the point and today they now have half the impact screws on Lol
wow very cool!! never knew about this tool haha... I was reading about removing the coil from the AC compressor and sometimes they have screws that are stuck and you will need something like this to remove the screw :D now I know how to use one thanks to ur video,
I would but you still need to be careful. Experience is really helpful here. You want to hit it back on so that the fastener is tight but not too much so that it strips out the screw head and is harder to remove in the future. Hope this gives you an idea. Good luck.
I really don't know what you are working on and I could only give you an opinion. I don't know what the condition of the motor shaft or screw are. If the item you were working on was in front of me, then I could probably tell you something. I'm not going to try to sell you something without knowing for sure. It's best you make a decision on your own cause you are in front of the item you are working on. Hope this helps.
@@mmunoz1379 I want to remove pulsator from my washing, but the screw that holds motor shaft with the pulsator is too tight to unscrew with normal screwdriver. I don't have a power tool. Should I use electric drill or it should be good with manual impact screwdriver.
@@firdauszainudin7118 based off of what you are telling me, I would use the impact screwdriver with the correct bit. The correct size bit will make the difference. A wrong size bit will damage the screw. Now the other question is....is it reverse thread or standard thread? Good Luck!
There is a tool made in japan by vessel for 11$ on amazon made for this issue. I don't know if those impact things damage a really sticky brake screw..I'm wondering if any of the impact screwdriver sets (like the quality capri unit) come w/ the proper phil head like the vessel made by japanese stats. Anyone know truly?
Bought the Snap On full set today...watching this in a haze. Trying not to break out sobbing uncontrollably. I am a DIY'er and should not go on eBay after a few beers. Honestly have no idea what this thing was for. Bought for the scredriver bits in the sockets so i don't have to get screwdriver set and just use ratchet.
Pretty sure I have a faulty Impact Screwdriver cause when I push in like he does at 1:03 it doesn't turn any way in either setting. Bought it years ago but never had to use it until today. Expensive brand one as well. Spent a good hour or so cursing.
Finally someone that explains how to determine which direction the bit will turn. This video is far better than the 10 I watched.

Good job demonstrating how to use the manual impact driver.
Thank you!

Great video. Gets the important points without a lot of chatter. Perfect instructional video
Thanks, I don't like the five minute intro videos either.

Great video, clear and concise. You're the Richard Feynman of impact drivers, accent spot on too.
I don't know who Richard Feynman is, but thank you for the compliment. I'm glad I could help.
@@mmunoz1379 one of the greatest minds of all time but able to explain stuff to anyone.

Thanks for the video, showing the direction by pressing on the object.
Thanks. That was a very helpful tutorial.
Excellent demo, nice closeup
Thank you Adrian
Thanks for this, a real tool in action..!!

That's what I needed big time a month ago. I gotta get me one
As long as you use the correct bit, you should be fine.
Seeing it done is believing how it's works! Ty.
Im glad I could help.
The old tricks are the best tricks 😎👍
Thanks heaps! Best wishes!
Nice work!!
Thank you man!
Nice and simple explanation, thank you.
Thank you!
I want to buy it, but how ?
You can buy them online. Just search for manual impact driver.
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Useful tool
Thank you
When you put the screw back on do you have to hit it with a hammer as well?
I would but you still need to be careful. Experience is really helpful here. You want to hit it back on so that the fastener is tight but not too much so that it strips out the screw head and is harder to remove in the future. Hope this gives you an idea. Good luck.

What is the point of reference to reverse it? Am I turning the handle or bit?
Hold the handle and turn the socket attached to the bit

This set did come with the right Phillips bit and came with several other sizes. It is a Matco set.

Give you 5 bucks for it
I never remember which way to lock the impact too.
@briankowald6465 it's usually the opposite way you're trying to use the tool. I always check it out of habit.

@Aidan.17 Expensive could mean that it has a warranty, too. It's worth looking into.
@@mmunoz1379 yeah i took it back it was over 3 years old and they swapped it for a new one no questions asked 👍
You didn't show how to change the position for changing direction.
@mediocreman2 0:47 I show you how I do it, but I do not explain it entirely.
👍👍👍👍
Fucking great video, good work.
