Very much so. It's a phrase that let's him be able to make the videos he does. He can have fun jumping to weird conclusions with random evidence he collects and stating that it's just a theory allows him to be wrong without much call out on himself(though of course it doesn't stop people) it allows you the choice to believe his theories or not.

@@YoBGS Mmmmh not really, his theories are really important but most of his work is done with his community so I guess it would be more accurate if he was actually working with them (even if it's an awful lot of people, it could be interesting to see them as a group solving things and it would be much more accurate, he is already doing this on reddit sometimes and is a mediator of those who find out things)

Ok...two problems with the Kai in water thing... 1. You can tell by the transport lines that Kai is on a ferry. 2. There is a video of Kai and Wilbur (and other friends) chasing the river break on the shore and kicking each other with it...And Will was pretty drunk...

I've been watching pretty much all of your new videos for about a year now and it always made me intrigued whenever you went into stuff about your job/personal interests and it kinda sucked to hear the offhand comment about people not being interested in og content. even if it wouldn't quite get the same viewership and doesn't have as much incentive, im sure myself and other people would still enjoy it 😅
I appreciate that, I really do try to make it when I can but it's hard to do IRL stuff AND reactions/streams AND OC, so I kinda fall into that weird hole of just shelving it
I think Wilbur needs to replace a clue or two cause without the DID theory nothing makes sense and the story just can’t be solved no matter how you look at it. I think he made a clue with one intention but that intention wasn’t anything an rational person would think up.
Yeah, true. The DID theory does make the most sense, but it has been unconfirmed. So let's hope that with the start of Wilbur's next ARG, he gives us the answer to this one.
I was very confused when you were suprised at the base 64 decoding and then I realised that I just watch all the ARG game/film/food theories non stop and was like "oh you haven't seen ANYTHING yet". Binary? Audio pictures? Brighting up the image? Going into topics of warping and bending reality and controling time and space to cover up some murders? MatPat has aaaalll of them checked dude. Also another clue to the DID theroy is that in Jacks video when he asks Wilbur to play a song, Wilbur says that he doesn't have a guitar beacuse "they took it". But in the Crywank cover video he: -has a guitar , -sits on the same pot or whatever that is , -the camera is angled the exact same, and -its at night. "They" could be Wilburs mind making a scenario where when he run from that house and left his guitar, the guitar stayed there and R.Fakier took it but to Wilbur it seemed like someone else took it beacuse he's not aware of R.Fakier. (ALSO ALSO in the house its I.Fakier (Wilbur) speaking beacuse he's a bit too happy, impulsive and aggresive and in the cover its R.Fakier beacuse he's just staring into the void withount emotion.) (ALSO ALSO ALSO You really should watch the Petscop theories, MAAAAN if someone told me I would learn about murders, warpholes and the concept of time and space watching videos about a creepypasta, I wouldn't have belived them)
Wilbur has already deconfirmed the "Editor Wilbur has DID" theory since he doesn't want to misrepresent it. Also, even if he didn't it isn't plausible since only people the ages of an infant to around 8 years old can develop DID since those are the developmental stages of the brain. So it is almost physically impossible for him to have developed DID as either a teenager or a young adult. I say almost since I haven't really done any research on it so I don't know for sure. I am just going off of what other people have said. So we have 0 answers since the Red Herring video itself has been deconfirmed since it hinges on the DID theory. I am not trying to attack you, I just want to offer some info.

But be weary that we're talking about a man who roleplays a character who got preg with a fish and is a biological mother to a fox child and is a son to an angel a literal fridge and the goddess of death. So I understand that it might be interesting (I mean, I find memory loss plotlines interesting), but that doesn't mean that you should take any theory that uses it as being correct. Watch the second ARG be a make-up to the first one, starting one that somehow solves the first one. I still stand by the belief that R and I are alter egos due to that the DID theory was somewhat debunked (from what I've heard). We know Wilbur is a good actor and those may be acting cues (taking off the glasses, clothing style choices) for his alter egos. You aren't alone in thinking that some of the video had new information by the way - half of it I was just watching in confusion about why I hadn't heard of those pieces.
The DID Theory has already been debunked by Wilbur since he didn't want to misrepresent a mental illness that he doesn't have nor have experience. He specifically said “they propose that r. and i. fakier are actually two different personalities of Wilbur.” Matpat points to Wilbur taking glasses on and off and saying the glasses off Wilbur “becomes erratic, impulsive, and agressive” This is feeding into stereotypes of alters/system members being agressive, uncontrollable, and “evil” which is just NOT TRUE my guy.
@@kevin_ibw I agree. I even stated in my comment how I don't agree with the DID theory (misrepresentation of alters, that you don't "just develop it"). My theory is that R and I are "alter egos" which aren't DID alters. Don't know if I confused you or not, but alter egos are personas that someone chooses to embody and that they make. DID alters are formed due to trauma and they aren't selected by the host. Sorry if I confused you or if I was confused from you! But yes, I don't believe the DID theory and glad to know it was debunked!

I'm not gonna say anything much, but last time I finally came out and admitted for the first time that I happened to solve this a little while ago. I'd just like to say that MatPat's theory is very very good. To anyone who has ever debated to me about this ARG I have always said that don't ever trust Wilbur. He says one thing and the general public believes another thing. He might have said that all the information and clues are "out there" but he has never straight up said a damn sentence about whether we have it or not. I also happen to know the gentleman named Christopher who tipped Mat about the voicemail really great stuff really really applaudable. Not gonna reveal anything more, Adios.
I know nothing about this ARG besides the fact that it exists. But I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in anyway. I think he's got it wrong for 2 reasons. 1) the DID scenario is false, as stated by Wilbur himself (which I feel like MatPat should've known before he made this video, especially if he was actually talking to Wilbur), so everything that depends on that falls apart. 2) The 'inciting incident' is based on nothing. We know a woman once left a voicemail inviting Wilbur to go out with her. That's it. Everything else is pure speculation. We don't know if Wil ever even responded. We don't know that she was the sort of person to play a cruel prank on someone. Assuming they did get together, we don't know that they were anywhere near the O2 Arena. We don't know if Kai was involved in any way, shape, or form. We know *nothing*. What MatPat did is the equivalent of writing an entire fanfiction based on a single, out-of-context screenshot. And those are cool, but very rarely are they accurate.
yeah, matpat tends to do that. to create stories based off of very little evidence. it's interesting to think about, and could potentially be right, but it doesn't have enough base to back it up so it's hard to say.

what if R.fakier and I.fakier are fake names like if your on the run and trying to hide you would want to change your name right? so maybe he changed is name to I. fakier and hid in the old house and the thud we hear is the police knocking on a door or something and he runs, then he moves somewhere else and changes his name again to R. fakier. Wilbur says "they took my guitar" who else would take a guitar than other than the police, they take the guitar and they use it as evidence that he was there. and when he says "the part of me you know now will be dead" he means that he is changing his name and identity from what we know it has, and when he disappears I don't think its right after he starts talking. I think he starts speaking then another knock on the door scares him and he leaves the camera running, then when he comes back the camera has stopped running and when he edits the video he decides to cut out the knocking and him walking away and leaves us on a blank screen of where he once sat. but just an idea and most likely wrong
Well, Wilbur's never actually given all the answers, or said which theories are totally correct, so the rest of the Arg and theorizing communities could be just as wrong (or even more wrong for that matter)

Clearly this guy isnt an ARG master solver like he's making himself out to be. Joking or not, its kind of annoying that he's making fun of MattPatt. MattPatt clearly isnt perfect, most his theories (especially recently) have pretty far stretches of conclusions, but he does have impressive puzzle solving under his belt. The puzzle solving is mostly done by his editors/theorists but his channel has revealed many puzzles before from morse code to hidden imagery in audio. YoBGS is clearly out of his league. I dont doubt he's been following this ARG for 3 years (although thats an odd statement considering that every other video on this ARG has said that this has been ongoing for only 2 years...), but 3 years is a long fucking time. It says a lot that YoBGS. He clearly hasnt delved into the puzzles of this, he has only observed the things about this ARG that he doesnt have to dig for. He even asks his followers to do the dirty work. Conclusion? This guy is a terrible source for this ARG to be solved.

He kept mentioning that him and his communiy were following and solving the arg... The video claims that MattPatt is wrong but the only thing MattPatt did in that video was recall evidence and then make a far out theory. This guy claimed he had something on this arg, but it was obviously nothing. Just a waist of time. Very annoying
So what it seemed to me was matpat saying to red herring "You don't have enough clout so let me take your theory and name it as my own" No hate to game theory, I actually love their other theories, but this one just felt like that

"They" could be Wilburs mind making a scenario where when he run from that house and left his guitar, the guitar stayed there and R.Fakier took it but to Wilbur it seemed like someone else took it beacuse he's not aware of R.Fakier.

Wilbur has already deconfirmed the "Editor Wilbur has DID" theory since he doesn't want to misrepresent it. Also, even if he didn't it isn't plausible since only people the ages of an infant to around 8 years old can develop DID since those are the developmental stages of the brain. So it is almost physically impossible for him to have developed DID as either a teenager or a young adult. I say almost since I haven't really done any research on it so I don't know for sure. I am just going off of what other people have said. So we have 0 answers since the Red Herring video itself has been deconfirmed since it hinges on the DID theory. I am not trying to attack you, I just want to offer some info.
@@Starpublic94 I understand, I just find the concept of DID and many other mentality disorders interesting, im aware that those are awful expieriences but that's what makes them interesting to me (not in a sense that I would fake it to get attention) its just nice seeing people talk about those things.

I still stand by the belief that R and I are alter egos due to that the DID theory was somewhat debunked (from what I've heard). We know Wilbur is a good actor and those may be acting cues (taking off the glasses, clothing style choices) for his alter egos. You aren't alone in thinking that some of the video had new information by the way - half of it I was just watching in confusion about why I hadn't heard of those pieces.
The DID Theory has already been debunked by Wilbur since he didn't want to misrepresent a mental illness that he doesn't have nor have experience.
He specifically said “they propose that r. and i. fakier are actually two different personalities of Wilbur.”
Matpat points to Wilbur taking glasses on and off and saying the glasses off Wilbur “becomes erratic, impulsive, and agressive”
This is feeding into stereotypes of alters/system members being agressive, uncontrollable, and “evil” which is just NOT TRUE my guy.
@@kevin_ibw I agree. I even stated in my comment how I don't agree with the DID theory (misrepresentation of alters, that you don't "just develop it"). My theory is that R and I are "alter egos" which aren't DID alters. Don't know if I confused you or not, but alter egos are personas that someone chooses to embody and that they make. DID alters are formed due to trauma and they aren't selected by the host.

I'd just like to say that MatPat's theory is very very good. To anyone who has ever debated to me about this ARG I have always said that don't ever trust Wilbur. He says one thing and the general public believes another thing. He might have said that all the information and clues are "out there" but he has never straight up said a damn sentence about whether we have it or not.

I know nothing about this ARG besides the fact that it exists. But I'm gonna throw my 2 cents in anyway. I think he's got it wrong for 2 reasons. 1) the DID scenario is false, as stated by Wilbur himself (which I feel like MatPat should've known before he made this video, especially if he was actually talking to Wilbur), so everything that depends on that falls apart. 2) The 'inciting incident' is based on nothing. We know a woman once left a voicemail inviting Wilbur to go out with her. That's it. Everything else is pure speculation. We don't know if Wil ever even responded. We don't know that she was the sort of person to play a cruel prank on someone. Assuming they did get together, we don't know that they were anywhere near the O2 Arena. We don't know if Kai was involved in any way, shape, or form. We know *nothing*. What MatPat did is the equivalent of writing an entire fanfiction based on a single, out-of-context screenshot. And those are cool, but very rarely are they accurate.
yeah, matpat tends to do that. to create stories based off of very little evidence. it's interesting to think about, and could potentially be right, but it doesn't have enough base to back it up so it's hard to say.

what if R.fakier and I.fakier are fake names like if your on the run and trying to hide you would want to change your name right? so maybe he changed is name to I. fakier and hid in the old house and the thud we hear is the police knocking on a door or something and he runs, then he moves somewhere else and changes his name again to R. fakier. Wilbur says "they took my guitar" who else would take a guitar than other than the police, they take the guitar and they use it as evidence that he was there. and when he says "the part of me you know now will be dead" he means that he is changing his name and identity from what we know it has, and when he disappears I don't think its right after he starts talking. I think he starts speaking then another knock on the door scares him and he leaves the camera running, then when he comes back the camera has stopped running and when he edits the video he decides to cut out the knocking and him walking away and leaves us on a blank screen of where he once sat. but just an idea and most likely wrong

Clearly this guy isnt an ARG master solver like he's making himself out to be. Joking or not, its kind of annoying that he's making fun of MattPatt. MattPatt clearly isnt perfect, most his theories (especially recently) have pretty far stretches of conclusions, but he does have impressive puzzle solving under his belt. The puzzle solving is mostly done by his editors/theorists but his channel has revealed many puzzles before from morse code to hidden imagery in audio. YoBGS is clearly out of his league. I dont doubt he's been following this ARG for 3 years (although thats an odd statement considering that every other video on this ARG has said that this has been ongoing for only 2 years...), but 3 years is a long fucking time. It says a lot that YoBGS. He clearly hasnt delved into the puzzles of this, he has only observed the things about this ARG that he doesnt have to dig for. He even asks his followers to do the dirty work. Conclusion? This guy is a terrible source for this ARG to be solved.

The video claims that MattPatt is wrong but the only thing MattPatt did in that video was recall evidence and then make a far out theory.
