Funny story about this scenario. The first time I played it, I crashed the restaurant and immediately threw a stick of dynamite into the club, thinking it a cheeky way to deal with the pit boss. I instantly regretted it.
about 1:05:00 Steven uses the Cat Burglar to escape the Pit Boss, and in the following mythos phase he doesn't move the Pit Boss "because the Pit Boss is exhausted" . Easy to miss rule, but Cat Burglar ONLY disengages your character with the enemy, he does not exhaust that enemy, so the Pit Boss would still move and attack!
By your comments during the video, it seems you have part of the Prey keyword wrong. Prey is only treated as a tie breaker...so if the enemy could engage multiple people, the prey keyword tells you who to pick. Enemies, such as the pit boss, who have both Prey and Hunter will not hunt down their prey across the entire map. Instead, he will hunt after the NEAREST investigator only. Then, if there are multiple investigators in that same spot, his prey keyword will kick in to indicate which investigator the enemy should engage.. Likewise, if there are investigators all at different spots but are all EQUALLY distant from the enemy, then the prey keyword will act as a tie-breaker for who the enemy chooses to chase after.
Fantastic playthrough! Are you guys considering doing a full campaign playthrough, perhaps the newest campaign The Forgotten Age? This was a ton of fun! :)
I just love the chemistry between you three, and the witty jokes that comes now and then. But the Roland Gambit was spectacular! Would absolutely watch the campaign playthrough, if you're going to!
Don’t split up, don’t drink and don’t cheat 😉 Great video. I know it’s an old one but I just finished the Dunwich cycle and loved the house always wins
finally played this scenario, so could watch the playthrough. it was amazing, PLEASE do more / the rest of the campaign. question: were you playing with experienced decks? how did Daisy have Encyclopedia? I thought at campaign start you're supposed to go in with 0 XP decks
Team Covenant you're welcome! I and a friend do an Arkham podcast, Drawn to the Flame, so we try to be sharp on these things. Plus cat burglar is immense!!
at the end after roland evaded the monster if he moved up to the hall.....next monster phase all monsters would be in same space by the "hunter ability" right? he would still be alive, able to leave?
Why wouldn't you be able to use skids additional actions after his 3th action, i think there is a window for free triggering abilities after every action.
Why didn't Robert resign in the Back Alley when he had the chance? Taking a resource made no sense. Also, wouldn't it be interesting to post your decks? I was kind of surprised Roland never got a weapon going.
What does the term DC value mean? I’m relatively new to AH but haven’t heard that term used till today. Thanks for sharing this play through - quality was super high!
Guys, that was one of, if not thee best play through of any game I have seen on RUclips. The layout on the screen with all the information is great. Do you post the tokens to the UK? Cheers
they look incredible, but jesus...58$ for one a one player set?!? I understand that you're a smaller company/distributor, but that price is unaffordable. I'd love to get some Destiny tokens too, but even 30$ is a lot IMO
Although expensive (too much for me) you're still looking at less than $1 a token. Don't see TC making a fortune on them tbh as you have to consider the wages/time put in to r&d, production and advertising (again time/wages in creating the video content). For me TC's token's price reflects the time and money spent developing them and are for those wanting to add a bit of extravagance to their game. Not for me this time though as I like FFG's tokens in AH:LCG.
Wow, those tokens are pretty slick...but that's a pretty steep buy in. It's possibly the cost of the core set + the expansion they are utilizing them in. I think these guys might be on to something though. The tactile feel of dice is what actively engages players, brings them out of their heads for a moment, and engages everyone's focus at the table, whether it's role-play or gambling or a simple board game. Price is too high though. I mean...it's why nobody makes token based games with high quality tokens rather than cardboard. It would defeat the purpose.
Tokens look amazing, especially the double sided doom token and I would LOVE them for all of my Arkham universe games but $77 for a 2-player set >.> too rich for my blood, hopefully price comes down, or a different cheaper set is released :D
Two core sets supports up to 4 players. The company that makes the game (FFG) doesn't support higher player counts - it all gets a bit bananas with more players than 4.
Quite disappointed by the look of the tokens. Design does not impress me at all. Way too generic. Plus the extraordinary price tag this is really a disappointment for me. After the Data Tokens I was expecting more of TC.

The Roland Gambit will go down in the halls of time. Got my latest mythos pack yesterday, you guys are the best!
Thank you Sanjuro! Best of luck on the new scenario!

Great catch! So we should have been even more wrecked!
Yaay, just started the Dunwich Campaign today. This timing couldn't be better.
I wish I had that music play for every time I look up rules irl!
You can! It's called Spanish Flea by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass.
More please.
Entertaining, well presented, great work guys.

Love the video formatting

We are definitely considering it. What were your favorite parts of this video?

Yeah we carried over our characters from the Core Set, so experience was in play. Glad you dug it! We had a blast for sure.
Gutting to see the cat burglar misplay - its disengage, not evade! But loving the video, loving how much you guys are enjoying this wonderful game!
Totally right Frank! Thanks for catching that!

Absolutely! Pretty much anywhere in the world. Thanks for the shout!
Great to hear. Ordered a 2 player set :)
Good! Keep it up!
Each character can take a drink :) Only limit is you can drink once per character per game

I thought the same thing. Priced way way way out of my price range.
Make more money

Did you start with 8 cards in hand?
Tokens look amazing, especially the double sided doom token and I would LOVE them for all of my Arkham universe games but $77 for a 2-player set >.> too rich for my blood, hopefully price comes down, or a different cheaper set is released :D
Seriously too expensive :) but great look !
Isint Arkham Horror: The Card Game a 1-2 player game? How do you play with 3 players? Can you play with more (lets say 5+ ? )
It goes up to 4 players! You can technically play with more, though.
Thanks for answer! Do i need to have 2 corse sets? (or its core set + expansion)
Two core sets supports up to 4 players. The company that makes the game (FFG) doesn't support higher player counts - it all gets a bit bananas with more players than 4.
You will need two core sets.
Yeah I really wanted new tokens but aside from the health and sanity token, everything else looks generic.... I really wanted the wood burned tokens.
wait no new Bag token designs? ;_;
Not impressed with the health and sanity tokens. They look to similar. Price to high also. One positive is the supply token. Very clever
