Larsen blundering with Qxa7 is hard to believe. Maybe time pressure was involved. Nonetheless another gem from my favorite chess magician Tal and my favorite YT chess commentator Mato
Really subtle stuff by Tal, I love his games. But also nice defensive moves by Larsen (i.e. to put the Bishop on e3 which would have forced a Queen trade if it had been taken or how he tried to avoid the Queen loss with Rxg7 and Rc7).
At 2:15 Why not Qb6+ Qxb5 instead of g4? There's nothing in the dark diagonal to protect against black queen's check...Am i missing something basic here?
At 7:35, why doesn't queen to b4 check, work? Since white queen is pinned by rook, he would be forced to move king, hence losing white queen to black rook. Does this work? Anyone?
He is talking through his hat. The curative petition has been filed and rejected by Supreme Court. The time limit of three years does not hold any water because there is no restriction on filing it earlier. Hence his new appeal will meet it's waterloo
It depends exactly how you define Amazing.... If by amazing you mean great combination of vision then you might be right.... Is by amazing you mean great end game skilled and that is Capablanca or Fischer or Morphy... This by amazing you mean the least percentage of losses then we are talking Capablanca again... This by amazing you mean defeating 20 grand masters in a row at the top level now we're talking about Bobby Fischer....
Why would Larsen take the useless pawn on A7??? Type of move a C player at club level might make...you are just asking for trouble...I never liked Larsen for that exact reason... He could play a bunch of good moves then make some ridiculous retarded move....Something Fischer, Capablanca or Karpov would NEVER DO
at 3:58 after white king moves to e1 why not black pawn to f3. Game over. if white rook takes pawn, black queen to h1 preventing white king to d1...and black is winning..k
Sunny morning, a cup of coffee and a new Mato video. Life is good.
That's the life ☺
Brilliant game of Tal.
Brilliant teaching by Mato
In 1969 Larsen won Chess Oscar. He was on of the very best players at the time.
Online chess lecture for free. Amazing stuff, Mato!
I love every match Tal plays. He's a joy to watch and a jaw-dropping attacker.
Welcome back, Mato! I was going through Mato withdrawal. Great explication, as always. You talk less and say more than anyone on RUclips chess.

Mijail Tal, el mago de Riga. Un genio. Mi más respeto a su historia y su legado
Absolute masterpiece by Tal
Wow Talk played brilliantly !
Quite strange Larsen would play such a strong game and then abandon his king when he had an obvious equalizing queen trade
so tal is magician ,illiusianist hypnotist ...lol
It's always great to watch Tal's games!!!thanks Mato!
Wonderful game with super commentary. And if you would like a little amusement, try the closed captions of Mato translated into English!
This should be a very interesting game and many more to watch, thanks to you with sharing.
Tal with black pieces are my favorite games to watch.
Very good game Mato, thank you for posting.
Everybody: Why did you sacrifice the knight?
Tal: He was in the way.
this is exceptional. even when TAL doesn't completely obliterate someone, he completely obliterates them.
Really subtle stuff by Tal, I love his games. But also nice defensive moves by Larsen (i.e. to put the Bishop on e3 which would have forced a Queen trade if it had been taken or how he tried to avoid the Queen loss with Rxg7 and Rc7).
What a game!! Tal is the man.
thanks Mato. really enjoy your videos
Sweet as video Mato, thank you for the upload. Keep it up man.
Greetings from you're neighbouring city Melbourne :)
That's right Go Australia.
Great illustrations Mr Jelic
Thank you. Beautiful game
Complication after complication, that game is madness, Tal make Larsen go crazy.
looks like one of my games only without the wining part
I can always find Tal's killer move. I just wish I knew what to do after that...
Mato, at 3:43: "Why did Tal sacrifice the knight?"
Answer: *Because he is Tal*
At 2:15 Why not Qb6+ Qxb5 instead of g4? There's nothing in the dark diagonal to protect against black queen's check...Am i missing something basic here?
Mind blowing Mato!
I did enjoy watching this video !
what an odd blunder. that's a move even I knew was bad!
I like this video before i watch it. :))
My thought is at 3:40 f6bK could move to d7 to avoid sacrifice and intending on b6.
Shame bent went with for the pawn with this queen, things could have been quite diffrent if he didnt do that
At 7:35, why doesn't queen to b4 check, work? Since white queen is pinned by rook, he would be forced to move king, hence losing white queen to black rook. Does this work? Anyone?
Rook at e7 is pinned
At 4:23 pawn to f6 was better than knight to h4....I think so
What a fight!!
at 2:05, why not queen b6?
Its looking like a Steinitz - Zukertort game where Steinitz was having same position with black
Amazing game amazing batlle
Wow, what a game Mato!
bueno
Very interesting game
Great game!
More Tal videos!
Great fight between an attacker and an unorthodox !
if queen takes night and bishop takes rook is not he move, then night takes pawn is the only aggresive option left, that was easy
and I know his eyes got wide on that endgame blunder.
A Tal game? Just now starting the video but I'm expecting great things...
Insane moves 🤫
How many moves have been played, before the first piece was captured? :-O
The return of TAL!
theschultemeister TALI
What is wrong with Larsen Qe3xe7...?
how many moves did Tal thought ahead!!@.@
any one can help >> 2:11 why not B.Queen gives check on B6 and then take the black knight on B5
because after check, Nf2 defending the king and clearing the path for white bishop to defend the knight on b5
Tal was a beast!!!
amazing game.
8:00. "Beware of the hanging pawn."
Please sir make some videos of bent Larsen please sir
Tnks!!!!
When f3 was able to be played before knight to h4 what is wrong with it? Only bishop is defending f3 and bishop is pinned right?
oh I see now because of the rook on f1
“Did you find… knight takes on e4?”
…
“No, Mato…. Nobody did!” 😌
Larsen should have won the game. But that wrong move 'killed' him.
He is talking through his hat. The curative petition has been filed and rejected by Supreme Court. The time limit of three years does not hold any water because there is no restriction on filing it earlier. Hence his new appeal will meet it's waterloo
Tal can also sacrifice his dinner just to checkmate his opponent.
Interesting to not bother with pieces that aren't already developed and attack with those that are
Looks like Larsen Bent the knee.
Why queen ran away
Tal is the most amazing player of all time.
RIP

Mato is the best 👍
why did Larsen make this blunder 😕
in 3.37 larsen have a winning end game after queen c8 exchange queen
Nice game tal
crazy game
I like tal the most 😚
Attack! yeah!
Larsen, indeed, was bent... by Tal!
I don't like the inverted board.
I miss Mariya :)
Tal is genius

queen takes knight and wished good night!
Lot of politics. Iam going to Disneyland.
at 3:58 after white king moves to e1 why not black pawn to f3. Game over. if white rook takes pawn, black queen to h1 preventing white king to d1...and black is winning..k
f3 would be followed by Rf2 and if Q goes to 1st rank, then Bf1 lessening the attack and also opening space for whites black bishop
A punch up
vaise larsen ne tal ko kafi fer tak jhel liya
And I made the move and the world resigned
My teacher mato Why black didn't play qb6+ on 2:10 time winning the white knighte
He did blunder
Larsen was winning until
... Qxa7
Greedy.
Insanity.
