So i went to the GYN to ask if it was too late and we did a blood test and he said ur eggs are like a 23 year old congratulations to u and ur husband...i laughed and said i need one on those so I'm leaving right away cause i need to have my child by next year ... My son is now 16 i had him at 43...i don't regret one min...and have encouraged many to consider having a child or adopting because it's a Beautiful experience.

Huge congratulations! I was 41 when I delivered my beautiful daughter! My pregnancy was smooth and my delivery was perfect! 7 hour induction. I think the process was so wonderful as I was in great shape! I was working with a trainer 4 times a week and eating a healthy diet! Fun is that at every pediatric visit I would tell the doctor I kept her alive for another visit. It was a running joke. My daughter is 18 now and healthy and happy! 41 year olds can have a healthy pregnancy, delivery and child birth.

Great story… thank you for sharing.
I have a friend who got pregnant at age 46 after almost 20 years of trying to get pregnant naturally.
They didn’t do any IVF or any interventions, they had basically given up and accepted their lives without children.
Until one day, she started throwing up a lot, her menstruation was off but she just thought it was perimenopause due to her age.
Went to doc eventually because the nausea wouldn’t subside…did blood test, and boom.
Shocked everyone in the family and they are soooooo overjoyed!
There is NOTHING like parenthood. Nothing.

My Mom had her first baby girl at 20. Her last baby girl at 40. There were 5 of us in between. It was the 50s n 60s. Birthcontrol was still taboo. She enjoyed her babies she had at 37 and 40 more than the other 5 of us. She didn't have time to enjoy us. She was too busy teaching us and worrying where the next meal would come from. With my baby sisters they had the resources so they didn't have to worry. The rest of us were gone by the time the baby was 6. So they only had the two girls and the money to do things for them and with them. There's definitely something to be said for having children in your 40s.

Now they are both college aged and are easily the most meaningful and rewarding part of our lives (next to our relationship with Jesus). They are decent, nice people and we are so blessed that God chose us for them. Having children is really hard when they are small, but the older they get, it gets easier. You won't regret it. If they are raised properly, they will bring you more joy than you could ever have imagined. Congratulations.

Thank you for sharing your experience. My husband and I got married at 30yrs old. We were in agreement- no kids. We love kids but we personally didn’t want to have children. I lost my mom just two years before my marriage. 3 1/2 years into my marriage, 5 years after my mom died, I woke up one morning thinking about how much I loved her and how much I missed saying “mom” and the love behind me calling her that. I then realized I didn’t want to live my life with never hearing that word “mom” said to me! The love that is within that word is overwhelming. I loved my mom so much and I then realized that the connection I had with her was something I didn’t understand until that moment. That connection we have with our parents is never-ending. We can remarry if we lose a mate, but who is able to replace our mom or dad? No one! That’s when I knew that I wanted to have children and that having them would be a blessing I didn’t deserve, but needed and more importantly, wanted. Hey, it’s not easy being a parent by no means. And truly no one should ever guilt someone into having children. It is a very personal decision. The fact that you didn’t rush into it shows great wisdom on you and your husband’s part. You both will enjoy parenthood with all its ups and downs. My boys are now 18 & 15 years old and I swear to you I fall deeper in love with them with every passing day! I wish you and your husband all the best. Enjoy each day of your journey. It’s precious and it flies by. Much love to you both ❤

I'm glad my parents made that decision because finally having a baby, I at 19, was not ready for a child. I don't believe others should make decisions for others. We had our son through a 2nd attempt at IVF. I thought for years that I was being punished for my choice. Afterward, I realized that it wasn't the time for me to be a parent. My husband is a much better choice ,by God? He's a great dad, and the other guy wasn't the right person for me to have children with. The other guy was abusive and took me for granted. I'm not sure if you will understand, but that's on you. I'm good with my choices.

You and Manny are going to have a richer future, experiences, adventures and a whole lotta love ❤️. Boy or girl doesn’t matter. Just the love and follow your instincts. It’s helping me to cool it with the unrealistic expectations and to just take “baby steps” at a time lol with making plans and going by how I feel rather than exhaust myself.

I had my first three children before turning 28 and then unexpectedly welcomed a baby at 37. My mom had me when she was 42, and I disliked when people mistook her for my grandma. Now, with my older kids grown, we often hear that we look like siblings, which I find amusing. However, I find the greatest joy in parenting my youngest. Age has brought maturity, patience, and resilience, allowing me to overcome childhood trauma. My marriage is now stronger and less chaotic. While there's a tinge of guilt regarding my oldest, I like being a young mom and we have a great relationship but being an “older” mom is the best 😊

I'm sorry you experienced the pain of surgery, IVF and the disappointments of the setbacks. I'm so happy you're having a baby. I adore you and thank you for sharing your brave story.

I'm excited for you Hun. I'm a 67 year old new great grandmother now. I found the Green Store. It is a toy store where their toys are made from recycled milk jugs. The colors are made from soy. This means they are safe for children to put into their mouth. The tea set can be used like real tea sets. I also bought a small wagon, so cute. My Granddaughter uses diapers and clothing made from bamboo. They are so soft.

I feel you on so much of your story, Anjelah. I'm 37 and have PCOS and have known since I was young that I'd more than likely have issues. Got married at 27, got pregnant at 29 after getting oral med treatment, then stopping when it didn't work. Got pregnant after a couple months of giving up along with being diagnosed with diabetes t2, had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and have not been able to conceive since then and tried IUI last month, unsuccessfully. My A1C went up after having to stop one diabetes med for possible pregnancy. And now I have to get it back down so I can try again. Asking for prayer for myself and hubby (Joe & Ronnie). I have faith God is in control, as He made this all possible from the beginning (won't go into all those details). But, I pray for everyone going through infertility! May the Lord strengthen you, keep you at peace, and provide for the finances as it can get TOO expensive. I pray that IVF gets approved for insurance one day! ❤
Anjelah and those who have the means to do IVF are SO BLESSED.

If baby isn’t talking yet (I would guess he/she might be around seven months now) I would highly recommend learning some beneficial words in sign language. I did this with my youngest, words like up, down, hungry, thirsty, all done, all the things a little one might need to communicate. She was the least frustrated of my three children because she could communicate needs before she could articulate them. I believe in the depths of my souls that teaching her sign made all the difference in her young years.

I will be turning 40 next year and part of the reason why I haven’t had kids is that as a woman I feel we sacrifice more than a man to have kids. Don’t get me wrong, I love kids, but I know that my life will change drastically if I decide to have kids. I have worked so hard to get to where I am professionally and I have never been sure that I want kids. I’m at a point in my life where I am also running out of time biologically, if I do want to have kids, so we this thought is crossing my mind more and more. I’m still unsure but it was so interesting to see what you went through with your decision to have kids. Thanks for sharing!

Ladies if you feel this way def. Don't have kids. When I had my kids I didn't want to go back to work. There is something in you that wants to be there for every moment everyday. If you are married become a house wife take care of your kids, home, and husband. If you want to have kids and just take them to daycare don't have them. We all know if we were asked when we were kids would you rather have a stay at home mom or daycare you would choose the MOM or DAD. Stay at home dad works too!!

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! The adjustment can be difficult- but oh so joyful! When my daughter and son in law needed help - they just called us. You’re going to be such a great mom! The most important part is just being authentically you and allowing your children to witness your meltdowns, joys, feelings etc… You will never be perfect and that’s okay, it’s not about the destination, it truly is about the journey. Enjoy and be present in the moments (even the sleepless nights and vomit, diarrhea, spit up, blown out diapers, giggles, smiles, coos, boogers. Etc) they are all worth it.
My kids are grown and starting lives of their own now and they truly are the most fulfilling part of my life. My career has always been important, but family comes first.
I think God, knows exactly what we all need exactly when we need it and the universe delivers God’s messages. You are exactly where you need to be doing exactly as is in your purpose and mission was intended.
Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈 and many prayers for a healthy and happy future.
