You are certainly moving up the generation, can't wait till you reach 11th and 12th gen. On a side note I didn't know that Gamecube is harder to emulate than PS2.
I already hit into 10 and 11th Gen, they’re awesome. I’d say GameCube is a harder system to push than the ps2 but generally the GC looked better at native resolution than the ps2 does at its native rez.
Great performance you archive with the 9500t and Batocera, I had a lenovo with the same chip and 8gb ram stick but I had a lot of problems running games with W10Pro.
Was able to get a 4th Gen i5 + 8GB ram and 2TB HDD on ebay for 85$ and i can play everything except PS3 and 360 games. Only 40 PS3 games work perfect, the rest i have to lower resolution. GameCube games in 4K look amazing , can't see the difference between GameCube and Switch for almost all games

I’d guess Windows is sucking the life from the cpu. These builds are pure Batocera 😁

If push came to shove Lenovo is the choice with Dell 2nd. HP can throw up some curve balls
