This episode of The Dean Martin Show was as of Jan.1966! Wow! I’m no longer wonder why it’s so successful. Dean Martin himself was the center of the show, his teams were incredible, working altogether as one! The show’s Perfect in every areas. Year 2023, I’m still having so much fun watching this. Thank you for uploading. Amazing work.
As soon as Dean appears you start smiling. Even before he talks or sings. You just know it's going to be wonderfully entertaining. Thank you for this great video.
I wish today's stars were classy. It used to be red carpet events were a dress up occasion. There's nothing wrong with a handsome suit or a beautiful dress. Especially when music entertainers have a new song.
Great vocal harmonizing by the McGuires! Great sketch with the late, great Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop! (Shari was a great singer and puppeteer.) Great singing by Gisele McKenzie! And of course, great pop crooning by Dean!!
It would be, but we truly don’t have the large quantity of quality and caliber of entertainers today as we had back then. A decent star back then had more real talent then those of today.
@@Michaelbos Even if we did, the show would not fly today because of cancel culture, political correctness & the general attitude of everyone being "offended". Our current state of society simply sucks, to put it plainly.
Absolute best crooner! I must have at least 50 of his albums. I have multiple of the same ones. I find one that's in better condition. Love me some Dino.
As great as Frank Sinatra was, he could NEVER have the kind of weekly variety show that Dean Martin had. Sinatra had some superb TV specials, but he did not do 'light' very well.
Bring back the good old days with sheer entertainment by real stars. Today they are all corrupted and political with not much talent Sigh Loved Dean Martin
It's entitled "Gonna Get A Boy" (A. Lewis - H. Simon, Miller Music Corp. - ASCAP).. It's on their 1965 ABC Paramount album "McGuire Sisters Right Now!".
It was very rare that music for teenagers was featured on The Dean Martin Show. The reason for Tommy Sands' appearance was certainly the fact that he was married to Nancy Sinatra. The song "The statue" is well produced, but was not a success for Liberty Records. Teenager Artists from the 1950's and early 1960's often had a hard time asserting themselves during the British Invasion era in those days.
I discovered "Statue " watching this show, instantly loved it, & can't figure out why it wasn't a hit! It's clearly a Motown knockoff but it's so catchy
Yes, but the fact that the title is constantly repeated in the song is a too simple arrangement. But the psychedelic guitar sequence is notable and timely. That was really up to date. I also thought the track would have gotten a good place in the charts. The competition from England made a change at the time and US- stars of the late 1950s such as Rick Nelson, Bobby Vee, Bobby Rydell and Sands had difficulties continuing to be accepted by young audiences in 1966.
The Dean Martin Show was also shown in excerpts in some European countries. As a child I found the women around Dean very strange and thought of nightclubs. I was a kid, growing up in downtown of a big city. With the exception of a few songs, the music was never my cup of tea and the entire presentation showed the conservative side of the USA. I like also swing and jazz, but such shows were often too staid and stuffy for me.

Agreed! ❤️
And he made it look so wonderfully natural!
@@deanmartinassociation That was part of his wonderful personality and talent. Great shows for sure.
He was born to be in front of the camera. So natural and easy going and a voice like no other. Dean was so handsome. You cant take your eyes off him.
One of the greatest singers of all time Dean Martin
i so wish i could have met him
This is pure gold. I wish they could still make shows like this today.
They won't. They just wanna teach us how to cut off our johnsons and become as sick as they are.
I just hope his daughter reads these comments so she knows their impact goes on and on!
Dean was one of my favorite singers, ever!
🍷. So many classy entertainers back then. Never to be seen again.
so true. cheers

Fabulous, he was absolutely the greatest entertainer ever, 👏👏👏🥰🥰💕

dean martin, the only medicine i need
What a fantastic show! I love Dean.
Keep ‘em coming!
It would be nice to see these kinds of TV variety specials return.
It would be, but we truly don’t have the large quantity of quality and caliber of entertainers today as we had back then. A decent star back then had more real talent then those of today.
We'd love to see it happen

Thank you!
God what memories ….thanks for posting this
Tysm for sharing. Happy birthday Dino!
Love & miss Dino!! ❤️
Such nostalgic content! Thank you.
Wow I was 5 days old when this aired.
My brother and I identified Dean as a potential superstar when we were teenagers during the late 1940s.
The segment with Dean and the McGuire Sisters is beyond brilliant - what talent -
I remember the McGuire sisters with their squeaky clean image, then it came out that Phyllis was the girlfriend of the mob boss, Sam Giancana. lol
Grande deam martim

Frank was not funny ...
Tommy Sand's appearance is very reminiscent of the setting in the series, "Hullabaloo", also a NBC production around that time.
Dean's show was co-produced by Teram Incorporated, which had produced Julie Andrews ' 1965 TV special for NBC.

Will you ever upload December 1 1966?
Yes!
What is the name of the first song the McGuire Sisters sang?? I can’t find it anywhere!!
It's entitled "Gonna Get A Boy" (A. Lewis - H. Simon, Miller Music Corp. - ASCAP).. It's on their 1965 ABC Paramount album "McGuire Sisters Right Now!".
@@jimmy1045 thank you!
Hello! Do you have the complete show of Together Again Tour? Dean, Sammy and Frank together in 1988
i’ve been looking for that too!
