Quick correction: this doesn’t “mean nothing”. It absolutely means something. It means something for you and your efforts mean something to us viewers. Lana fans have had this exploration internally for so long and I think we are so happy to see it succinctly out and visualized!
That means the world, really! I’m still working on some confidence issues so thank you for calling me out on that attempt to minimize myself. I needed to hear it! Thanks for being here. I’m so happy to share this journey with you guys. UV next week!!!! 🖤
Great artists like Lana DESERVE great minds like you delving into and analyzing their work. This is a RUclips gem, harking back to the times when music was taken seriously and qualitatively writing was used to ingrain it with the current times
wow i cant imagine how incredible it would be to get introduced to lana through nfr, that album is her magnum opus! i first heard the summertime sadness remix on the radio when i was in like 5th grade and i liked the original more so i listened to born to die and just fell in love with her. ive had the blessing of seeing her 3 times in concert and she sounds so much more rock and roll in her concerts its so different, but not in a bad way. i hope you really enjoy her music but also do NOT forget her unreleased music. there is so much to be discovered by lana i love her sm 🥰
It was certainly an amazing album to get sucked in. Although I fear I didn’t get it as much as I will when I listen to it in order this time. I already have such a detailed appreciation now even after just doing Born to Die. That’s amazing that you saw her 3 times! Wow!
Love this. U really pay attention. I am prepare for more Lana, bc the lore is huge. And when u finally gets to the last album, oh man, thats gonna be emotional.
I’ve heard such good things! I’m just so grateful to have finally found this music. I’m sure my ideas will also grow and change while I add in new albums and I’m so excited for more clarity on this phenomenal human! Thanks for being here. ❤️
hey, hyperfixations don't mean "anything". your effort and interest means a lot to us. i've had a special interest in courtney love, so i understand how you feel. hope you're doing well, beautiful.
Great video and thank you for sharing your thoughts and your analysis with us because you really went deep and read between lines. 38 mins felt like seconds hahaha
I'm a fellow autist and my Lana hyper fixation began on Boxing Day 2021 at the end of a rock-bottom year and I never looked back. Her music has completely and utterly changed and enriched my life, expanded my mind and changed not only the way I listen to music, but the way I consume art in general. She will forever be my favourite artist.
I can totally see how discovering this music after such a tough time would be incredibly healing! She seems to have changed so many lives. She’s certainly changed mine for the better and it’s only been 2 months! ❤️
@@PassionDumpofanAutistI’m so happy for you that you’ve found her 💜 after that day in 2021, my entire 2022 was spent deep-diving into everything Lana-related, obsessively listening, analysing, researching. I listened to her every day and her music was such a huge part of my healing process. I barely listened to any other music at all other than her for a good year and a half, as everything else just sounded so bland in comparison - even stuff I’d previously loved! I still love all the music I listened to before her, and I do listen to more again now, but clearly she’s all I needed for those almost 2 years. Thanks so much for your content, watching Lana reactions is one of my special interests and favourite things to do, and watching someone who is also autistic fall in love with and dissect and discuss her music is even better! Thank you so much for sharing your heart and soul and unique insights 💜
@@PassionDumpofanAutist oh my LORD hozier is SOMETHIN' ELSE. if aurora is a forest fairy he's the forest spirit. they're very yin and yang to me. but i think he's a true poet above all else - some of the most beautiful lyrics you'll ever hear. happy to hear you're adding him to the list!! 💚
I didn’t really “get” Lana during the BTD era, and didn’t really give her or the music the attention they deserved at the time. I don’t know what compelled me to listen to UV when it was released, but the rest is history!
I think it all depends sometimes on where we are in life. Knowing who I was in 2012, I’m not sure I would’ve gotten it either if I listened to it back then. Now that I’ve recorded my UV reaction (today) I can totally see that one being the one to get you on board! 🖤
AHHH YOU DID IT!!! i'm SO proud of you this is insane!! and honestly genuinely inspiring 😭 this also just reminded me that i didn't write down my mini dissertation of aurora's album i really really wanted to do that but of course i got distracted 🙈 in particular i'm so with you on her fixation on Freedom. it's all over her work - which is super interesting, because in the abusive relationships she describes, it's essentially the opposite of freedom. but she finds the most freedom in giving her love - all of it, saving none for herself - as if she exists in the purest form when it's for the sake of someone else. it really hurts how much i can relate. i spent so much of my life believing i was destined to move from shadow to shadow, existing behind someone instead of as my own self. this concept of giving yourself over to someone to the point where they're all-consuming is something i struggled with all throughout my teens specifically, but it feels like my brain has done a complete 180 in my 20s and i've become very guarded emotionally... though i still do feel like i exist for love (aurora reference 💙), i remember vividly what it was like to be consumed by someone (not in the ethel cain way of course 😂). i'm not sure i'll ever be able to find a balance. but listening to music like lana or aurora gives me the energy and hope to maybe figure it out someday. this was such a beautiful essay. i'm so relieved to see your rest served its purpose!
Yes! Thank you! It was something I really wanted to get out so I’m so happy to have it completed and I’m so excited to add more to the puzzle. And yes, all of that that you said about the abusive relationships. I’m really wanting more clarity on her perspective. And yes, also exist for love! 💙 Thanks for being here! Always a pleasure to chat with you. 💕
@@PassionDumpofanAutist you too, kindred spirit!! 💕 i'm sad i won't be able to attend the livestream tomorrow unfortunately (got a friend appointment!), but i'll definitely be watching it back. excited to see what's next on the lana docket 👀
Just because Lana Del Rey isn't her real name doesn't mean she it's just a persona and not her real personality. Just because she changed her name and uses a stage name doesn't mean she changed her whole personality and made up her personality and then she also wouldn't be authenic
Couldn’t agree more. I don’t believe that’s what I said. I believe you may be misunderstanding when I’m speaking of “parts”. I believe all humans have different parts of themselves. That’s not me saying she’s not authentic. If you watch through the video I talk extensively about how authentic I think she is. It’s the thing I love most about her. ❤
Thats not what she said. She said that when even when people are playing, that still real. And Lana talking about other perspective, just mean she letting us know different parts of her.
@@PassionDumpofanAutist okay! it was because you talked about difftent characters and the way you described it sounded like you meant or thought something that Lana just made up as Lana because you said parts of Lana and parts of Lizzy but it's still the same person and idk why it should be difftent because she can still have the same personality and stayed true to how she was before fame or even tho she changed her name.
@mimissafeplace I can totally understand why you would think that. I also try to almost think of the art as character as well because I’m careful about making claims about someone. I think artists are always in their art but I know that Lana is super autobiographical and I’m uncomfortable talking about her and her feelings as fact when we are just interpreting what she’s feeling. But I think she’s incredibly brave for being so open. I guess I’m trying to figure out a way to talk about personal things without being disrespectful to her as a person. Not sure if that makes sense.
Waking up at exactly 4:44 and seeing that your 2 videos are set to go in six hours and thirty hours, respectively, I'm going back to bed a very excited cookie 🍪 🛌 😅

@PassionDumpofanAutist like Lana once said, 'if everybody loves it, it means it's not that good' ❤️
You missed blue, summer, and melancholia but great great work breaking down BTD ! 🥀
I went with what was resonating the most with me but I’m sure if I revisited this a year from now I’d have a much different perspective!!
