Why the heck would he want to go to Penn State? OK state makes the most sense. He could make huge headlines if he helped them beat Penn State in the nationals.
@@Yopierre_Okie st seems just as good of an option with DT, Thomas Gilman, RBY, Zahid Valencia, and many more training with you. Not to mention you get to build up a “new” program under a new coach just like Bo wanted. DT also has trained Levi Haines and Tyler Kasak… look what they went on to do their freshman year.
For as good as Bo is he puts himself in a lot of compromising situations that a lot of these lesser wrestlers can't capitalize on. He's got a killer gas tank and great pace but I also feel he's extremely erratic/spastic with his movements and leaves himself open quite a bit and good D1 wrestlers are gonna make him pay for it. Either way he's got talent and skill for sure.
@@James-wv3pl he turns 18 on January 5th according to the first link I clicked on for a Google search. That means he will be 19 in the middle of senior year.
When it comes to Bo Bassett pretty much only a few people has the type of elite genetics/talent he does. A lot of these guys put effort in practice/outside effort for 8+ years and still never get a takedown on him let alone beat him.
Stiff? The dude flies around the mat - many times you’ll see both of his feet leave the ground as he SWINGS behind his opponent. That’s far from “stiff.”
I have 50 years in wrestling as a competitor, coach and ref........have rarely seen anything like it. Chain wrestling at it's best. This kid had Div 1 champ written all over him.
if ur referring to 0:20 it’s bc bo’s hand is on his shoulder even though his arm is on the throat so he not technically choking him. it would be illegal if his hand was behind his head and his arm was the throat. but most time it depends on the referee how far the let it go
He's three years older than most of the guys he wrestles. He's a nineteen year old junior. Either he's the worst student on the planet or someone was looking for a built in advantage
I think Bo Basset and Jax Forrest should go to Michigan, could be their team with a GOAT(Sergei) coach at their weight. Cliff Keen cash to put in the bank, and get the best public university diploma available in this country! Go Blue!
"...and get the best public university diploma available in this country!" Yes, as far as schools with wrestling programs. But UCLA and Cal/Berkeley are the two top-ranked (US News and World Report), and most prestigious, public universities.
@@skymanchronicles8936 They wouldn't, and I said Michigan was one of, if not the, most prestigious public universities with wrestling programs. But I included your quote saying that Michigan is the best public university. It is not.
Bo literally flat backed during that roll and stuck there for almost full second ummmm pinned himself.. clearly dominate peformance but some things dont make since to me
I find it hard to believe that he wouldn’t go to Penn State, but he also said that he wants to change a program in a video that I saw this past year.
I hope he doesn't. It is getting boring seeing Penn State roll over every other team

@@michaelscott33how does that make the most sense? If he wants to get the most out of college it would obviously be penn

I would love to see Bo wrestle Spencer Lee. He’s like the stand-up version of Spencer’s ground game.
Bo has like 20 pounds on Spencer. That isn’t fair at all.
@@Ben4reelSpencer would still beat him

If he gets in a good program they’ll fix it in the offseason he’s just having fun right now in high school.
good point, however bo has already gone against good, even great, d1 wrestlers, and won. I think he'll do just fine
Jesus, Mary and Joseph...Bo Buzzsaw on his grizzly!!!🔥
Top recruit in the country, down to 9 schools. Can't wait to see him in college in 2 or 3 years if he redshirts.
Freshmen debut at 22 years old will go crazy
what schools?
@@samuelwhite3659I think he’d be 20. Which is still crazy because Levi Haines might be 20 or just turned 21 and already has two finals appearances.
@@sweeterscience83 Bassett is 19 and a junior in high school. He's gonna flop in college

No one is talking about the early anklepick in the quarter finals in the beginning
Crazy how many people are Matside to watch him
He’s a killer man. This kid is crazy good

He’s so good and such a hardworking kid but it’s got to suck to get absolutely wrecked by him in front of a crowd of people filming 😂
Great to watch... wouldn't want to see you in action up close.
Bo basest is goated
I would like to see Bo and Spencer Lee go at it.
Fun to watch!! Can't wait until college.. Bo's nick name should be, "Honey Badger"!
I don’t know but Bo always seems to stiff to me. Not always very fluid. We’ll see how that translates to college.

I don't think there's ever been a more dominant HS wrestler
Dan Gable, Cael Sanders
Cary Kolat

He reclassed to have more time in school. Along with half the starters in Bishop Mcourt.
@vibers8497 does reclassing give him any general advantage?
Do you personally think he does this for educational purposes only or wrestling purposes.

Cornell says hello. (Even though they’re out of the running)
His top 5 will be Penn St, Okie St, VT, UPJ, Michigan (Or Rutgers instead of VT or Michigan)

Blaze, Forrest (at this tourney), Duke
