Usually good, but I only upgrade to this class if the price makes sense. Normally try to at least book PE on a long haul flight from YVR to Asia especially on outbound legs which are longer, so anything over 10 hrs. Have in the past booked PE fares around $1500 CAD all in on EVA or China Air from YVR-TPE-BKK for example.

Miami to London in premium economy for October is expensive as heck, but my 6'2" frame will thank me. Just cant handle Full Dog Class for almost 9 hours. I could travel First Class, or the whole studio thingy on some airlines, still, no sleeping, ever.

I have an upcoming 16.5 hour flight from Vancouver to Singapore. I definitely got Premium economy for the extra seat width. May try to upgrade to business.

Just booked china airlines business class for Xmas trip to Brisbane. Love china airlines premium economy as the seats are hard back and so if you recline it doesn't intrude on the person behind. Why have I booked business then and spent the extra dosh, simply I checked and it was 400 sponds extra for business over pe, 800 over cattle class. It's Xmas, fuck it, let's treat ourselves, always checks peeps, laters

No amenity packs on premium economy on Singapore Airlines unless you know you have to ask for it from air hostess

I stopped flying cattle class in 2019 😂. Be careful about upgrading gents, bc now Premium Economy is your new base then Business class will be your base. Flying well cost $$ 😂.

      I'm flying to Japan tomorrow.
I was originally considering Business class, but the cost was basically triple.
But I still insisted on upgrading to premium for a 10 hour flight.

      @SingleDaddyDean Totally worth it.
The extra few inches of leg space and width alone make the upgrade worth the cost.
The quiet and the better food and a bigger screen to watch are nice touches as well.

@SingleDaddyDean Happy to help. Enjoy your flight.
If it was just for 3 or 4 hours, I would probably tough it out in economy. But for a 10 hour flight to Japan, I won't fly any other way.

What I don’t like about premium economy… the passengers. Demanding middle class Volvo drivers thinking they are first class passengers. Honestly, just pay for business on long haul.

Not worth paying more $$$ when you can just bring your own socks blanket and toiletries etc with you 😅. What I would pay for if I had the money is a seat that has more room and lies back further 🥰. I couldn't fly at all if it wasn't for economy so I'll bring my own socks and stuff and get as comfy as I can !!

Next month I'm flying to Tokyo from London with ANA in economy and have been wondering if I should consider paying to upgrade to premium economy, I'm just not sure if it's actually worth the extra cost, I've heard rave reviews about ANA's economy but for the upcoming 14 hour flight I think I will upgrade. I just hope it's really worth it.

I’m 6’2” tall and 67 years old. A few years ago, we did SFO-Singapore in regular economy on Singapore Airlines. The flight, at the time, was 14 hours to Hong Kong, a 90 minute layover, then 3 or so hours to Sing. That first flight was torture for me. Just before CoVid, we flew Sing-SFO, a 14.5 hour flight, in PE, again on Singapore Airlines. The difference was amazing. Despite a 1AM departure from SFO, I got virtually no sleep on the outbound economy flight. Inbound, I got six good hours of sleep. Additionally, the 2-4-2 configuration in PE means my wife and I don’t have to share the seat row with anyone else in economy’s 3-3-3 configuration.
I’ve taken ANA PE numerous times. Like Singapore Airlines, it’s a great hard product. As a bonus, ANA gives lounge access to PE guests.

yes.. we like the 2-4-2 configuration from EVA because my wife and I can rest next to each other .. only bad thing is that the arm rests don't move up but its okay.. the recline is good and we are not that big. 5'-8.5" and under and under 12b lbs lol.. EVA is our fav going back to Taiwan@@stevenelson3515

All well and good if you can afford it. But my aim is to go from A to B. Comfortable would be preferable but not worth taking out a 2nd mortgage.

I won’t fly economy from the US to UK anymore. Fortunately, I’m able to afford PE and the extra legroom is worth it. I don’t think domestic travel in FC in the US is worth it given the extra cost. An expat watching in Florida.

Cost differences between economy, premium economy, and business for American 49 CDG-DFW in May 2025 using a discount website revealed $995, $3,910, $7,950 respectfully. (Actual future travel.) Two thousand dollars extra between economy and premium economy? No thanks.

Talking about a specific airline economy premium and not showing a single image from that company, just a bunch of random videos from any other airline and a generic list that every single company offers at that class, is a scam.
