Personally I am a bit displeased we never saw the tendo king or the emperor since they seem to hold such power and looks like very important figures. I hope that if one day they make a reboot or remake of this series (kinda like what they did with trigun) they'll have room to shine
"NO, ITS MAGNIFICENT POWER IS EVEN GREATER THAN THAT!!" Whatever voice filter/modification they have for Hazanko has always been made him sound so badass, love his mask & overall design. Ruthless bastard.
That has absolutely nothing to do with a filter. That's all about this voice actor, Tom Weiner. Back in the day he was the go to guy for villains, including Bison on Street Fighter 2 V. He's narrated several audiobooks as well, including one on nuclear accidents and another on the Twilight Zone. It's weird listening to him speak in a monotone when we've heard him go all insane like this 😆
@@kadejito1 Yeah, kinda does. They're obviously going for an echoey voice that sounds like it's behind a mask that sounds powerful yet distant. I'm saying I like the voice actor combined the audio engineering to create this unique voice for the character. Act like I'm not giving credit to Tom.
I love the disbelief in his voice (i think its this ep) when McDougal and Gwen Khan show up. He goes full-on soap opera with the "Ronald McDougal?!?!?!?!?!?!". Such an epic surprise for him.
If Hazanko needs to make a wish on a reality-warping magitek god-computer to become more powerful than the Tendo King, let alone the Tenpa Emperor... ...then how powerful are THOSE two?! Also, Hazanko's design just screams a sort of villainous style you just don't SEE anymore.
Prob people who figured out the key to immortality through Tao Magic and are also nigh invulnerable. Probably thousands of years old. Sadly we will never get more Outlaw Star lore. It being a mystery is fun too, though. Gotta be beasts to have Hazanko as a lacky.
The story of this show was amazing. After the whole ordeal only the outlaw star and El Dorado made it out. The galactic lei line then disappeared it's as if the kei pirates there simply vanished.
I think we can all agree; Kei Space Pirates are a whole guild of assholes that laugh in the face of war crimes and rights of sentients. Forced servitude of their own is just a Tuesday to them....
Yikes, I guess Tobigera isn't just a bumbling fool after all, he's really just as deadly as the other Antens. His role in the hotsprings episode was just for comic relief to match the episode's theme.
I would've loved to hear both Tom Wyner and Troy Baker together. Tom always had that menacing guttural voice when voicing straight-up bad guys like Bison, Devimon, Iron Mask, Harry McDowell and Hazanko, while Troy tends to voice cold and calculating villains like Schneizel, Frank Archer and Van Kleiss. I'm so sad that Tom is gone.

@@patrick4662 It is indeed the same episode! Episode 24 @ 12.00mins.

Use DC as an example, I'd say the Tendo King is as powerful as Darkseid, and the Tempa Emperor must be equivalent to Yuga Khan.

R.I.P. to Tom Wyner, the voice behind the mask of Hazanko.
He was also the voice of M. Bison in Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie.
1:33 that bounce really awakened me during my adolescence
Hazanko was easily one of the most menacing anime antagonists.
And of course he gets the least screen-time and development.

something tells me the McDougal brothers (or brother) met Gene again sometime in the future - to settle the score.
Moral of the story, never trust a space pirate wizard!
Even to his own subordinates
I don’t know…. Those two elderly folks in chains looks like a crime to me, Hazanko.
I think we can all agree; Kei Space Pirates are a whole guild of assholes that laugh in the face of war crimes and rights of sentients. Forced servitude of their own is just a Tuesday to them....
Yeah it's called elder abuse lol
Not cool, Hazanko.
I wonder if those elderly Tao wizards are siblings or spouses.

Hazanko: I AM POWER
Tao solider: Not yet
Hazanko: Its treason then
I would love to one day (maybe through a prequel of some sorts) know the backbiting and sneak-dissing that led to Hazanko hating his boss.

clever way to get into the leyline 🤔
This reminds of something from Dune.
These old people giving Akira vibes
Hazanko can easily qualify as a much darker form of Darth Vader.
Especially with wht he did to Harry. Most brutal form of using the force I think I have ever seen lol.

If they were, they were probably covered with a bikini top. Lol
