@Cian McCabe I think many Authors who wrote a Sith Character also took insperation from Nietzsche's later works in which he explained the Concept of "Übermensch". Due to this, there's no place for mercy for "Untermenschen" - Which actually not defined by their Race, Religion or Skincolour - But by their beliefs. If you believe in a "supirior morally system", in a "Religion" and so on - You are an "Untermensch" because "Übermenschen" (Zarathustra's) don't need such pity, such ignorance. They are above those things - That's why "God is death, and we've killed him" is so a often mention quote. Nietzsche pointed out (as some Philosophers before him), that Religion is nowadays based on a humanization of a God Being which would mean that God would've the same morally standards as a Human -> That would rob him of his God Status, therefore we've killed God. And now it's time to take it's Place, we're Gods if we act like them - If we are strong enough to take our rightfull Place. Those Themes, at least I think so, are elementar important if you wanna write a "good Sith". A Sith isn't bound by the morally standards of others, he is only bound to his own personal strenghts (Which doesn't mean only his strenghts in direct combat) - And if the is strong enough to take something, it's only rightfull if he does so.
@Cian Abroad Its more of those who are passive that are at the bottom the empire is militaristic so if youre trying to get ahead you join the military. that said if youre really good at running civilian or government affairs there no reason why the empire would look down on you. Its a full meritocraticsociety being forged by the fires of being suck between its inherent weaknesses and an enemy that will stop at nothing to kill it and the empire has been been steadily removing its weaknesses. Blind arrogance, specism and sith idiocy being the first to go. Now a slave has risen to the dark coucil, pragmatism has taken over and specism is seen as incredibly stupid and wasteful. Finally the revolving door of back stabing seems to have at least slowed down. pity the republic wont fall for another thousand years so we know it starts back up again but for a breif moment the empire is in such a phenomial position they can push the two faced republic into its 1000 year long death spiral leading to its eventual collapse in the Bane era.

@Cian McCabe Look at history... Every group/nation that professionally wages war has the upper hand in building for the future. The US is a good example today. Those who couldn't focus enough on war perished... Etruscans got wiped out by Romans, who themselves got overrun by european tribes when they became passive... Indian tribes by european settlers... mongols against arabs... You could go on forever. Conflict is the ultimate stimulus for growth, it pushes innovation and makes people realize their potential.

@@thomasriegel367 this is a year late, but if you look up "swtor all imperial speeches" there are at least two videos, by SWTOR Nerd Gaming and Gamerworf, which have all 3 speeches (and a 4th speech you can give if you're secretly working against the empire). Neither of them have the same VA as the video though, but you get to hear the male Sith Warrior and the female Sith Inquisitor give all 4 speeches.
Well let's be upfront here, with the singular exception of The Resistance, The First Order doesn't have anything on ANYBODY. A competently led Boy Scout troop could probably kick their asses.

The Sith Empire is my favourite faction in all SW. Not without its flaws (slavery in its present shape included), but how beautiful, how esthetically done! And seriously, after all the effort put by Darth Marr and Acina to sweep away racism holding the Empire back, they're really strong and, IMHO, they're the country which is nearer to meritocracy than any other in SW. However, I feel bad seeing Acina rule the Empire. I have some respect for her, but she's nothing compared to Darth Marr. It's a shame he died before he could see his life's work done and I (and my Darth Imperious too) can't help thinking about it when I see Acina. Regardless, great work! I'm not a huge Sith nor Empire fan, but I really like the passion and effort you put in your videos. Back when I played SWTOR I always found myself enjoying the empire story-lines more. In particular I found the light-sided versions to be quite compelling given the added obstacles to their path and I honestly thought they made better heroes since they did a better job of balancing compassion and pragmatism. Not to mention with the reforms implemented by Darth Marr (and Darth Imperius if you did the light-sided Inquisitor) and expanded upon by Darth Acina the Empire appears to have become the meritocratic society in the galaxy. Still...I have to wonder just how the hell did Malgus survive?! I dropped him down some kind of chasm in a space station (the Empire might want to consider adapting something similar to OSHA) and then the space station blew...better yet how was there anything left of him?

Natasha Little and Jamie Glover are both excellent in their respective roles and this fan trailer certainly does a good job at showing that. Visuals and music are on point to as always. Great editing!
One thing I've noticed with those focused on being "the strongest" is that they fail to see their weaknesses. Yes, you may be the strongest, but are you the smartest? The wisest? The most flexible? Can you cooperate to achieve true victory? That last one is where the Sith fail and always fail. Their ambitions, unrestrained as they are (a fact the Sith revel in), do not allow them to tolerate others, even allies. They are a hungry serpent. Massive and terrible, but who soon begins to eat its own tail in its ravenous, suicidal hunger.

This is remarkably well edited and I will say that the Sith Empire is arguably the most interesting of all empires throughout galactic history. Although I find that it would be interesting to see what would happen if Revan's empire still stood. And in hindsight, the Fel Empire is also pretty neat, for being more benevolent than the rest of them combined.
What the Empire lacks is resilience, it is the cause of its inability to maintain itself in the long run, despite all its strength. I know, this video is from June, but thank you for your work, I added a new translation. :)

Back when I played SWTOR I always found myself enjoying the empire story-lines more. In particular I found the light-sided versions to be quite compelling given the added obstacles to their path and I honestly thought they made better heroes since they did a better job of balancing compassion and pragmatism. Not to mention with the reforms implemented by Darth Marr (and Darth Imperius if you did the light-sided Inquisitor) and expanded upon by Darth Acina the Empire appears to have become the meritocratic society in the galaxy.
Still...I have to wonder just how the hell did Malgus survive?! I dropped him down some kind of chasm in a space station (the Empire might want to consider adapting something similar to OSHA) and then the space station blew...better yet how was there anything left of him?
I've always said that good hearted sith would make for a better hero than anyone else and there is plenty of good exampled of this. Lana, Marr. Acina.
I went with the Equality pitch. Because in my mind, all that is great and strong in the Galaxy will become a part of the Empire, Human or Alien.

Of all the factions star wars has presented this Sith empire is hands down my favorite. And this video is a wonderful way to celebrate that empire.

One thing I've noticed with those focused on being "the strongest" is that they fail to see their weaknesses. Yes, you may be the strongest, but are you the smartest? The wisest? The most flexible? Can you cooperate to achieve true victory? That last one is where the Sith fail and always fail. Their ambitions, unrestrained as they are (a fact the Sith revel in), do not allow them to tolerate others, even allies. They are a hungry serpent. Massive and terrible, but who soon begins to eat its own tail in its ravenous, suicidal hunger.

This is remarkably well edited and I will say that the Sith Empire is arguably the most interesting of all empires throughout galactic history. Although I find that it would be interesting to see what would happen if Revan's empire still stood. And in hindsight, the Fel Empire is also pretty neat, for being more benevolent than the rest of them combined.
