There's nothing intricate about juggling statues with guns. Id play an action rpg or a fighter If wanted intricate game play.
@@sonicsucks20 C'mon, do you REALLY think DMC is all about juggling enemy with guns? Gameplay mechanics of DMC are one of the deepest among the whole action rpg. Even top level players have polished their skill for several years. they analyzes the DMC4 in FRAME-WISE manner. Literally every frame of action causes different results in DMC4.

Dante is essentially ash from evil dead if he ran his own agency fighting deadites (which is more than epic enough :) ). ...Also ash had a caravan in ash vs evil dead when he was out hunting deadites with.....some allies..(also along with a character who got stronger and wanted to prove....he wasn't dead weight), I love the comparisons that devil may cry and evil dead share. Yamato generally causes problems in that universe (sometimes sparda), whereas the book of the dead does that in evil dead, both summon unspeakable evil, then it's up to said trash talking badass to take them down (....except dante is smart enough to get paid for it).

Pretty shitty understanding of the older games. Dante wasn't edgy - he was the coolest-hip-teenage-hard-rock-party dude from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, with so much cool-liners and Sonic attitude that he could stop the big bang from happening, every time at every location.

yes but he is so extremely edgy on the reboot that it increases the average so heavily in the entire franchise
Reboot is different game that's nothing to do with DMC franchise in my view so yeah nah.
He was considered edgy back then. Now it feels campy. Just like Resident Evil 4. The newest DMC seems to borrow from more recent versions of edge instead of the suave lady killer among the sea of boy scouts.
He was edgy in DMC3 imo. Which is fine if you ask me. I don't know why that's a bad thing.

We've gotten a Dante DLC for Monster Hunter for the past 2 games. You could dress your Palico up as Dante.
DMCV is going to be announced at E3 this year. It's been in development for over 2 years

Agreed. Bayonetta developers are the original DMC developers, after capcom fired them they created their own company and made bayonetta ip which has been the spiritual successor of DMC.

Fantasy Connect ya but it was noticeably low budget. it wasn't bad, but not really good either.
Dantes Inferno actually was pretty nice. I would even say it's better than some of the GoW games. it aged better than GoW1 for example imo.

I got so used to it that I stopped secretly questioning it in my mind at one point and it started feeling like the most normal thing in the world.

I love Honest Game Trailers but Dante "edgy"? How tf is Dante edgy? I feel like that word is just being used to describe anything and everything these days seeing as how in 3 of his 4 games, *cough DMC 2 cough* , Dante is the furthest thing from it.
Dante's not-so-much edgy as he is camp. Devil May Cry is the campiest game franchise ever... except for DMC2. We need more camp.
Agreed. Campy is a much more accurate adjective. Sometimes cheesy may be appropriate too, with how some of the dialogue is. I love the series for those moments though.
Too Much Hentai (disclaimer my first contact to dmc was 3. Then 4 ,1, 2. My point of view is biased as sh*t) I always saw dante as too happy go lucky err.. stylish kind of hero. Granted there was some edge in 1 ,2 but you couldent cut butter with that kind of edge

This is the very time I have ever been in this channel. I have heard of it, but I have never visited until I heard this honest trailer, which of course as a HUGE fan of the series (except D.M.C. that reboot sucks major donkey balls!!!), I had to come and check it out. At first, I expected Smosh Games to wreck it, and me to defend the series (they only did it to the reboot...which is to be expected!), but this was so good, well done, and hilarious that I' m practically writing a whole article about it. I FREAKING LOVE THIS HONEST TRAILER!!!!

Disagree because you can change the difficulty of DMC3. Anything less than Dante Must Die mode is cake compared to Sen's Fortress or Shrine of Amana or Manus, etc.

Depends of the version , Vanilla DMC 3 is harder than any Dark Souls game , and Ninja Gaiden Black is harder than all the DMC series(although i would blame the shitty OG Xbox controller for that ),but seriously, wheres my Ninja Gaiden HD Collection ?
