This footage is 6 years old. The people behind this so-called 'robot' have audacity! What you see is someone who's pretending to be a robot, and even then they have to stay in character! Sophia was sometimes someone pretending, other times it was CGI and other times it was a bit of both. The clockwork IT can't walk or dress itself. It also does not have a voice, that is transmitted to the It by someone off-stage. In it's human form you'll notice that it wears floor length skirts, this is to hide the human legs. Also note,when it's someone pretending, it gesticulates as little as possible, or folk would recognise the hands for what they are - Human ! The technology that would allow us to converse with robots spontaneously is, I'm afraid is in the far, far future. One day there'll be a REAL Sophia but that is a long way off.
