My thoughts exactly not everything needs to be live action just keep some things animated and once you take that animated element away from it and you replaced it with live action, you lose the charm of that original work or what it would’ve been if it were animated instead of live action not everything is meant to work in live action. Some things are just tailor-made from the ground up to be animated and to only work in the medium of animation.

Steve is thrown into this brand new word, he starts off loving it and exploring but he slowly finds horror after horror and starts to hate it. But then he eventually rediscovers the beauty and finds his purpose. A movie about self discovery and finding your own purpose. Couldve even had Herobrine as a sort of inner demon of smth
You just described the Minecraft Novelized trilogy by Max Brooks. The order to read them in is Minecraft: The Island, Minecraft: The Mountain, and Minecraft: The Village. These books are told in such a way that makes Minecraft’s weird world beautiful! They are great, and definitely give them a read!
So some honest critiques: - They really should’ve just made it fully animated, doesn’t have to be trailer or villager news style, just something NOT involving actual humans - You can see how it’s going to be a “main characters get stuck in a new world and try to leave while an enemy or multiple enemies try to track them down” kind of movie, which has honestly been drained and milked. - I feel like the movie could be something more than just a massive joke. By the look of the trailer, there doesn’t seem to be anything involving the original Mc (building), which should’ve just been the main focus from the start - They could delve really deep into lore and/or serious stuff, but we’ll just have to wait for the movie

As someone who played Minecraft since it came out on Console(mainly on the Xbox 360) i’m worried about this movie I feel like it could’ve been an all animated movie rather than a live action movie.

I sort of just expected either non-blocky realistic mobs, or 3D neon animated Minecraft mobs while in a live action world. I didn’t exactly expect a 2013 Minecraft In real life sort of texture. Being that I’ve been a Minecraft fan for a while, and I’ve been desperate for a movie. This makes me quite sad. But fortunately so far in my genuine interest, the only problem is the ideal animals looking too realistic. Everything else is completely fine so far :) Im exited for this and hope for the best.

Differences between that and the Minecraft movie is the Mario movie was animated. Sure the casting was questionable and odd but overall, I think the casting worked out pretty well and as for the animation it’s basically like the Mario characters the Mario environments and basically the world of the games but it was given more movie like detail and a more cinematic feel. and it wasn’t live action. The Minecraft movie, however, is live action. It does have actors like Jason Momoa and Jack Black on the green screen and sure the environments look faithful, but the designs of the creatures they do look faithful to the game, but they’re just something so uncanny about it of how they look they look faithful but at the same time look so weird, and the humor and overall how the movie looks and it doesn’t look that great there. I even say it looks kind of bad. The trailer was legitimately terrible there was nothing funny about it. It did not make me laugh. It didn’t make me smile from what seems like it’s basically a rip off of Jumanji of the real people jumping into the game world while,the Mario movie was CGI animated they went from an animated version of Brooklyn to the mushroom kingdom, you don’t see Chris Pratt, jumping through screens into the game that’s the difference.

Don’t get me wrong, jack black is a great guy but I don’t understand why they would cast him as Steve, they don’t look alike AT ALL and personally, I feel like Steve would be more of a chill guy then how jack is portraying him
@@Dr.Chopperr because it's not meant to be a serious role, the whole thing is a joke. Just look at how they introduce him, some people see this as disrespectful to Minecraft but, I don't see that. It just looks hilariously silly to me

As someone who played Minecraft since it came out on Console(mainly on the Xbox 360) i’m worried about this movie I feel like it could’ve been an all animated movie rather than a live action movie.
i wish they animated steve and the other characters like how they animated the animals and mobs

For the people saying we got this over Minecraft story mode, it's still possible because in DanTDM's video he said he went on set. And when he was talking about that he said "There is a reason why it's called "A" Minecraft movie and not Minecraft the movie or something. Meaning that there could be spin offs and that would make could make since because in Minecraft there are no main worlds. So it could be explained by saying its not the same world and get spin offs and other movies.
If this movie does poorly, we always have Minecraft Story Mode to look back on.
They should’ve adapted Minecraft Story Mode into a movie instead of this bullcrap.

I sort of just expected either non-blocky realistic mobs, or 3D neon animated Minecraft mobs while in a live action world. I didn’t exactly expect a 2013 Minecraft In real life sort of texture.
Being that I’ve been a Minecraft fan for a while, and I’ve been desperate for a movie. This makes me quite sad. But fortunately so far in my genuine interest, the only problem is the ideal animals looking too realistic. Everything else is completely fine so far :) Im exited for this and hope for the best.

Yeah, but the Mario Movie was full animated without real life actors. The green screen its to obvious that makes all feel fake. And don't get me started talking about that sheep.

Differences between that and the Minecraft movie is the Mario movie was animated. Sure the casting was questionable and odd but overall, I think the casting worked out pretty well and as for the animation it’s basically like the Mario characters the Mario environments and basically the world of the games but it was given more movie like detail and a more cinematic feel. and it wasn’t live action. The Minecraft movie, however, is live action. It does have actors like Jason Momoa and Jack Black on the green screen and sure the environments look faithful, but the designs of the creatures they do look faithful to the game, but they’re just something so uncanny about it of how they look they look faithful but at the same time look so weird, and the humor and overall how the movie looks and it doesn’t look that great there. I even say it looks kind of bad. The trailer was legitimately terrible there was nothing funny about it. It did not make me laugh. It didn’t make me smile from what seems like it’s basically a rip off of Jumanji of the real people jumping into the game world while,the Mario movie was CGI animated they went from an animated version of Brooklyn to the mushroom kingdom, you don’t see Chris Pratt, jumping through screens into the game that’s the difference.
I think it will be mediocre, treat this game and its world like a joke... and then proceed to make millions of dollars...
Hopefully they'll make a Jack Black in block form in movie!

The hostile mobs look so cool bruh but the passive ones look so weird, I’d rather hangout with the piglin than that pink sheep.

The mobs are the very reason why we cannot allow ai make art or movies.
I don't think I seen anyone asking for the Minecraft movie to involve any live-action or any famous actors starring as Steve... This just feels like a massive "How do you do, fellow kids?" from Warner Bros. Minecraft Story Mode looks so much better cause it at least tries to be self-contained within the Minecraft world.
