Use the asbestos lining mod, makes you immune to being set on fire and thus avoids all the damage, also works perfectly for the Cremator as well. Nothing better than spamming lots of booms and not getting hurt.
I really wish they would buff handguns a bit, I've been carrying so many of my old rolls for years now hoping they would, (Many 2 shot explosives or quad vats builds) the only 2 I've been able to use successfully are my Bloodied, Crit Thirst Zapper and the 2 Shot Vats Alien Blaster, at least until they nerfed the AB awhile back, so I really haven't touched the Handgun Class since. (Cryo rounds were my go-to on my 2 Shot Explosive Crusader, They work so well on bosses that have no stagger chance or cripple effect, or on crowds in events)
theres a damage buff in progress for weapons of all types this rework goes alot deeper than you think but the focus has been mostly on the crafting system.
Unpopular opinion. Any pistol builds equal the weakest link in the team chain. I’ve been playing for a very long time and it’s super rare to see a pistol build in any big events. If your goal is only taking on “ squishy” enemies then I guess the pistol is for you. Anything bigger that the enemies in this video makes pistol build garbage. I have an optimized pistol build and I rarely use it.
@@DadPlaysStuff oh thanks 👍 , good video by the way I agree with you on how good and underrated the Crusader Pistol is, I think in the future Pistols in general will be more viable because of the crafting imo but I still wish they give em All across the borde a little Damage boost, especially my 44 pistol it feels underwhelming even with the buffs and or right Rolls
They are actually reworking the damage across the board the crafting system is a part of the rework, so we could see pistols doing far greater dmg than before but it's a time will tell type situation.
@DadPlaysStuff I hope so. Unfortunately I have a tse15 crits on my heavy crit build, I would love to be able to move it to my pistol build 😢. If I had any advice for new players it would be to not learn plans for armour and weapons you don't want on certain characters, it just dilutes the loot pool and half is un tradeable 😢😢
All pistols are scrip. I have a pistol build fully optimized and it’s dog water. Do a boss fight with that badass pistol and tell me how it turns out. If you want to just go around and kill small and medium stuff then I guess a pistol build is for you.

@@glennonpriester I mean... for the most part yes? and this comment contradicts you ... an actual challenge would be taking on bigger enemies with weaker weapons, IF you fight the endgame bosses with only the best weapons against them ... thats not a challenge thats just farming. And theres nothing wrong with that either ... but i 100% disagree all pistols are scrip.
@@DadPlaysStuff the biggest challenge is solo boss fights. Except for the exploit in ecological warfare. You can make any weapon do well against small and medium enemies. If you can solo a boss fight in 10 minutes or less in my opinion you’re the man.
